Nobody remembers since it was in April and they were 0-5 but Alonso hit the game tying homer before the Taylor walk off against the tigers. Probably the only clutch moment but he did have one
Pete has done well vs the Yankees and.... the Phillies! He likes the old school rivalries, as I do. If he can play with heart as he always does and not worry or feel sadness for the things off the field, I think he will have himself a very good series. I will be rooting for him as I have, along with all the other great guys to keep at it. (Its nice seeing the good guys win for a change!!) Not comparing them, but the emotions I feel watching this team play the past 2 weeks especially, feels familiar to me to back in the day when I watched the 1986 team go after it. It is wonderful to watch even from afar and I am thrilled I get to, AGAIN! LGM!
OK… happiest Met this morning??? Jose Butto. Rather than having to live with the biggest failure of his young career, Pete Alonso took him into the confessional, and absolved him of his sins, and a guilt that could cripple a career and last a lifetime!!
Listen, I was born a Yankees fan, and I’ll die one, BUT yall are right, this team is special. I love hearing Jerry and Jolly be so amped and so passionate about their team!
You forgot to mention Yordan’s two HRs in the 2022 postseason. The one against Seattle in the ALDS the Astros were down to their last out. The one against the Phillies in the World Series was against one of the best left handers in baseball. Alvarez said he felt the ground shaking when he was rounding the bases. No hitter has had 2 go-ahead HRs from the 7th inning or later in postseason history, much less in the same postseason.
I didn’t know there was a podcast with Jerry on it. I just subscribed it is so much nicer listening to you guys then a certain podcast who is one minute screaming at the top of his lungs that the Mets suck and pete is no good pieces and then the next day he’s praising him and the team like he’s second coming and the Mets are the apostles. thank you for Shea stationI hope you have gear to buy like the seven line army all right man I just subscribe thanks Jerry you the man Jack you are the man 🎉🎉🎉🎉
To say, based on standards he has set for himself in his past season performances, that Pete has had a rotten season is an understatement … but all the Ks in big situations, lack of clutch hitting, mental errors on pop ups - ALL IS FORGIVEN!!! Amazing.
The Alonso homer was pure karmatic justice. After the Brewers went back to back, ESPN cut to their dug house imitating the OMG HR pose the Mets do after every dinger. Look what happened.
Which team started off horribly, then was the best team in baseball for four months to make the postseason? Which team staged a dramatic, late-inning comeback in a Wild Card elimination game, led by one of its biggest stars, to take out the Brewers and advance? Which team had bullpen issues that required them to dragoon their 29-year-old lefty sinker/slider artist into relief duty? Which team was inspired by a fun, mid-30s veteran role player with his own theme song? Answer: The 2024 Mets…and the 2019 Nats. Just sayin’. 🤷🏽♂️
Diaz needs to work on checking runners ar first and developing a pickoff move. It will only add to his essence. Marte and Nimmo are underrated as players and has been crucial to this teams success Vientos: Great first alnost complete season as a Met. Pitching staff: Kudos to Hefner and these pitchers fir showing the MLB what real oitching us all about. Alonso: Congrats for a magical Mets season so far and many more to come
Absolutely not. The teams has carried Mendoza. He has consistently put out terrible lineups, letting pitchers go to long, not using the right guys, not stealing guys, not playing small ball especially when a pitcher is dominating. He has lost us many games strictly off the calls he has made. But because the team is looking so good they make him look good
Hey! I love Winkers energy but you can bet the league is going to address the helmet slam since that could be a bit dangerous in that pieces flew off and cloud have hit someone close by plus, the ball, technically could still be in play and you got an object potentially obstructing in tbe field of play! But I love it anyway! Go ahead “Wild Winker”🤣
I wonder how all the Mets fans feel now that were killing them for not keeping Buck Showalter as manager LMAO, thank God for Mendy, the perfect manager for this team. This team is everything the 2022/23 team was not under Buck.
@@rigpa10I think maybe you misread his comment. He’s referring to the Mets’ previous two elimination games-the 2016 Wild Card game against the Giants, and Game 3 of the 2022 Wild Card series against the Padres-in which the Mets were shut out both times, and last night was about to be the third until Pete’s HR.
How are the mets in teh playoffs? didnt you fans say the season was over in April???? Jack, why cant you and your crew there be positive and support Pete? watching the show back from last night, instead of positivity and encouraging words, you guys trashed Pete for taking a called 1st strike as if any of you could do it........ Then the magic happens and you all jump as if you were supporting him the whole time during a down time. Sick sick fans!! the fans that have started since 2015 make me sick. I've been a fan since i was 9 in 1986 and first game i remember watching growing up was game 6. I grew up where all i had was WGN and the cubs. So only time after 86 was to watch when they played the cubs. I've been there through it all since then and never once gave up hope. I hope they win it and keep going, but they might not. AND if they dont, I will pack up my summer gear and come spring training, i will get it back out and root for them just like i always do.
I was 4 in 86, so I remember nothing. But I do sort of remember 88, definitely remember 99,2000,2006,2007,2008,2015. All those years were disappointing and kind of showed the Mets as a franchise that was either snake bitten or not a serious team. This just feels different. We are pessimistic by nature, considering the Yankees are always good. The others teams in the NL East have won World Series this millennium, and we know disappointment. But this team came in with no expectation and they are playing so well. Staying in every game and never letting the other team feel safe. The Mets of old would have missed the playoffs and never made the comeback they did Monday in Atlanta.
this past week as a mets fan has been the most fun it’s ever been while also being the most gut wrenching, mets baseball!
glad you’re having fun…jk fuq the mets go phils
"This F@CKIN TEAM" is my new mantra lol bc that's all I've said positively and negatively for the last month or so lol
This team man! I can’t believe they keep doing these things. I’m so glad they get a home playoff game it is so deserved.
Nobody remembers since it was in April and they were 0-5 but Alonso hit the game tying homer before the Taylor walk off against the tigers. Probably the only clutch moment but he did have one
Literal tears in my eyes, could not believe it.
Pete has done well vs the Yankees and.... the Phillies! He likes the old school rivalries, as I do. Not even a Mets fan but was watching the live stream yesterday was magical happy for you guys! Hope the Mets do well against the Phillies!
2 of the most memorable games in Mets history over the last week my heart cannot handle this
OK… happiest Met this morning???
Jose Butto.
Rather than having to live with the biggest failure of his young career, Pete Alonso took him into the confessional, and absolved him of his sins, and a guilt that could cripple a career and last a lifetime!!
Yes. When I saw that ball sail over the fence my first thought was Butto just let out a sigh of relief. 😂😂😂😂
Waking up thinking it was a dream, the best sports moment I've ever seen with my own eyes. LETS GO METS! #LFGM

On Fangraph and others, Brandon Nimmo is ranked the most clutch player of 2024 😏🤌
Watching that home run drop two sections over from me at Miller Park was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen
Imagine the workers tearing down the plastic and removing the champagne in the Brewers clubhouse. It must have been frantic. Congrats to the Mets.
Y'all deserve so much more views and subscribers. I love the content. LGM. What a phenomenal game to end the WCS against the Brewers.
Listen, I was born a Yankees fan, and I’ll die one, BUT yall are right, this team is special. I love hearing Jerry and Jolly be so amped and so passionate about their team!
Congratulations to the Mets on the win. Jolly held it down and proved that 27 outs is real. Enjoy the bubbly today paap. Back to work tomorrow 🎉
OMG! 0:38 October 14th 😅
If the Mets are winning a game on the 14th, it is in the NLCS! Lets hope Jolly is being prophetic. LGM!
Dude is high on life, cut him a break.
I was like wtf... I looked at my phone calander because I thought I might be wrong. Lol but no Jolly trolled me dag nabbit.
NOTHING CAN KILL THE GRIMACE
THE SUN IS SHINING ON THE METSIES!
Mets revenge tour continues
LETS GO METS
first time, came from talking giants, that intro song is a banger

Inject the theme song into my veins this morning

Love love love! 🎉❤
Greatest Win of My Life.
It was so shit for 8 innings, I thought they were all mentally broken down after game 2
These Metsies are mentally tougher than I thought. I love it!
The Alonso homer was pure karmatic justice.
After the Brewers went back to back, ESPN cut to their dug house imitating the OMG HR pose the Mets do after every dinger. Look what happened.
Only Momentary Glory
You guys are too calm!!

Mendoza went from making the worst managerial move since Grady Little in 2003 to managing the best game.
This guy was not even welcome to NY. People questioned the decision from day 1
Our Mets have a flare for the dramatic, wouldn’t want it any other way. Go mets
R A L L Y C A N D L E 🙌
God i hope Pete goes on a 2015 Daniel Murphy tear.. do we think Mendy is a manager of the year?
Absolutely not. The teams has carried Mendoza. He has consistently put out terrible lineups, letting pitchers go to long, not using the right guys, not stealing guys, not playing small ball especially when a pitcher is dominating. He has lost us many games strictly off the calls he has made. But because the team is looking so good they make him look good
He’s been fine. Defense first lineups sometimes
I think they didn't give Pete an error cause the fan pushed the net and hit the ball. Not 100% it touched the net, but it sure looked close.
Ya gotta love it

Holy crap it's the 14th!!? I thought it was the 4th??! My bill collectors gona be mad
How much longer can they keep this up?!?!? Let’s just enjoy the ride. Remember: they are playing with house money at this point!
Wow!!!!
October 4th. 😂😂😂
I wonder how all the Mets fans feel now that were killing them for not keeping Buck Showalter as manager LMAO, thank God for Mendy, the perfect manager for this team. This team is everything the 2022/23 team was not under Buck.
Lets fucking gooooooooooooooooo 💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡
These Mets shirt when?
LFGM
Uhhh did dude say October 14th
Francisco over Shohei!!
without that Pete homer we get shutout in 3 straight elimination games
with out the homers by the brewers they get shut out too - your statement makes no sense -

But where can I go to be brought all things Mets?????? WHERE
The music intros are so freaking cringe 😫
