  • Join us as we head to the northern neck and into the Chesapeake Bay to crack open some of Virginia’s farm-raised Oysters. We’ll visit the Little Wicomico Oyster Company to see how Virginia’s world-famous oysters are farmed and harvested, then to "High-Pressure Processing of Virginia" or "HPP" to see their high-tech method of processing the "Shuckless Oyster." All next on Made in Virginia.

I remember in the 60’s and 70’s working on a trap fish boat out of the Cape Fear River to Frying Pan Shoals, there was a lot of hard work and often times no return.

The Marianas Trench is off the coast of Japan, not in the Atlantic Ocean.

Here in central SC, Irmo, all we get in the grocery stores is the crap from the Pacific Ocean. They are horrible and I will not buy them. Walmart sell the Pacific crap. There is a little seafood market my house and the lady will NOT sell Pacific crap but only Virginia oysters. $20 per pint.
