I can think of one thing, the sound of a Hammond running through a Leslie, accompanied by a killer bass player, and a spirit filled gospel choir singing praises to Jesus in a bitter sweet minor key. 👍👍👍
Rock that Hammond grandma!....you guys...forgot to mention the furniture covered in clear plastic! Hey...i got family in Pico Rivera, Compton....they'll getcha!
Hi all of you you shall listen to William Braham sermons they are helpful for us to be close to God and strengthen our faith and life don't miss it u will find it in every languages
Not really 😉 But to be honest, there is other religious inspired music which made me go into churches (not to church though). No expensive Stereo system can ever match the impression of a classical church organ.

I give God the glory! He deserves it. I have been blessed by all comments posted and I affectionately say thank you to each person. This three and a half year video set a milestone in my musical ministry. I now understand the purpose for my music and would be delighted to share more.
You are truly anointed... God bless you Mother Freeman... I am of a younger generation, but I grew up to the sounds of the music you are playing... The comments are right, you never lost it :)... Now that's talent...
May God continue to.use you in blessing a younger generation and passing the mantle! I suspect not only playing, but teaching and.couching.humble musicians and worshippers is a calling God might be leading you to.
Did someone say she still got it? She never lost it. OMG! Do not judge a book by its covered. This Mother of the Church is a senior statesman on the organ. WOW! She can smoke some of these current cats hands down.
Im white ( descended from Scotland but family living in Australia ) and I love my culture and am proud of it but I have to say I absolutely adore your culture. I have always wanted to come over to America and spend time in all the soul towns ( is that an expression haha ) like Memphis, etc and I have always wanted to try soul food and go to a few services in your churches and pray to the Lord with you guys. If I wasn't Scottish, I would definitely be proud to be born black. Consider me your brother from another mother. Love from Australia!!!!
This is Tha Sound to Our Roots and we can’t forget. Tha Deep South Know what I’m talm bout. I grew up on this Sound I’m 22 and it make me think bout My granny. That’s that spiritual Baptist Sound Right there!
How can she think she doesn’t do church music well ?! She had me up and praising our God the whole time and I’m sure my knees gave out when the music got faster. What a wonderful woman , God bless you and your family!!!
My church has a B3 organ but it’s black it’s the best organ we have in the church, I play for them every single 1 Sunday on the drums I love Jesus Christ our savior and our father 🙏🏽😇
That organ just got a good workout! Awesome playing, would love to see music like this in more churches! I play for a church that uses traditional hymns, but i definitely have a great appreciation for gospel organ. Beats a praise band by a long shot any day! Way more soul!
Agreed. Christian Rock rubs me the wrong way. There are two types of church music in general that give me goosebumps: they involve either hymnals and 32' pedal stops, or Leslie speakers.
Incredible. What amazing feel. I'm just a 22 year old white boy who grew up in a mostly-white baptist church, and as a huge fan of the blues and gospel music, this just cuts directly to my core. Growing up, church was always soooo boring to me, but the coolest parts were always when the organist would play a piece while they pass around the offering plates and stuff. Now, this was a pipe organ so it definitely had a different sound to a B3, but it was always my favorite part of any church service. But this....this is just something else entirely! I would go to church every single day to hear some B3 playing like this!!! Something about that instrument just hits you right in the feelings and conveys emotion so incredibly well. And with playing chops like Mama Debra, you might as well skip the sermon, I just got all that I need by hearing her playing that organ. I am serious, there is nothing that a preacher could say that could make me feel the spirit as much as a Hammond B3 can. Maybe that is blasphemous to say that, but what a great tradition. To any young worship leaders out there who may read this, please please PLEASE don't let this instrument die and disappear from modern churches. Take in that raw emotion and embrace it in your services. It is just next level good.
I may be a Jew (not related to you by any means, unless you are some of my black Jewish brothers and sisters), but I see this woman and am reminded of one of my sweet grandma’s from my Pentecostal church in my hometown. Before I moved west to attend Bible college (I’m majoring in pastoral theology at a Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada Bible College), I had this one woman who made me an honorary grandchild. Harriet plays the organ every Sunday night at Bethel Apostolic, and like this sweet sister when she plays you can definitely feel the anointing. Thanks for posting this video, it was a blessing to me.
Debra Freeman, that was amazing! I remember back in the late 70's I went to a local church to do a service call for their copy machine. The copier was in their office located upstairs in a little room. It was in the middle of the week and the church organist and choir were practicing for the Sunday service. I have to say that was one of best musical experiences in my younger days(21 at that time), that ill never forget. The building was shakin and the energy was through the roof. I had always liked Gospel music, but nothing beats it when it's live! Thank you Debra Freeman!!!
As a white person I always find black funeral services so uplifting. I feel full of faith when I leave. The preacher's message about the hereafter reminds me of our ultimate reward. We all (everyone) needs more of this.
In general, there are two types of church music that give me goosebumps: traditional with a hymnal and a 32' pedal stop, or foot-tapping gospel with a Leslie speaker. This little, old lady has more soul by herself than two praise bands. Made my day!
When I'm feeling a little down I come back to this video. The Lady in the pretty purple suit lifts my spirit. Encouraging! I've been wanting to get me an organ but there's not enough room for it. 😊
So I'm all the way from Cape Town, South Africa and this just warmed my heart and filled me with so much joy. Keep going mamma! I love it! Lord let your holy ghost come on down!
You know you've done good when you see all these wonderful comments from all walks of life and all across the world. Mr. Jones, your mother is a international treasure. Thank-you for sharing her performance with us.
Ever since I came across Gospel music by accident by watching Bishop Carlton Pearson's Live at Azusa, I've never looked back! It's my ultimate dream to one day visit the states and attend a Black church service. I'm happy that God gave me the opportunity to know this beautiful genre! God bless, from your brother in Christ here in Malaysia.
Going thru something again, listening to this beautiful music.....tears are flowing because deep down inside i know that " errrrrythang is already alright"!!!!!!
Nothing beats the sound of a Hammond and a talented player.
I can think of one thing, the sound of a Hammond running through a Leslie, accompanied by a killer bass player, and a spirit filled gospel choir singing praises to Jesus in a bitter sweet minor key. 👍👍👍
Nothing at all!! B3 it is!!
Amen, talented with the anointing of God. Six years later.

It’s enough for an atheist to want to go to church
Not really 😉
But to be honest, there is other religious inspired music which made me go into churches (not to church though). No expensive Stereo system can ever match the impression of a classical church organ.
Not this one 😬
I’d definitely go to church in order to contemplate that! If the divine cannot be found in heartfelt music making, then where?
I agree
holy ghost is deeper than the cults made of its fragmented understanding. feel that shit
"I don't do the church music like that....'
Proceeds to do some of the best church music.
something I was thinking, Lol
Right lol
Lol!!!
Hi all of you you shall listen to William Braham sermons they are helpful for us to be close to God and strengthen our faith and life don't miss it u will find it in every languages
Well You've Got To Show Humility First, Just BEFORE YOU SCORCH THE ORGAN !!!!...
2:02 - she says "i don't do the church music too well"
she IS the church music!
but i love the humility
i come back to this time to time, legendary
I come back to this one every once in a while. I want to hug this woman.
I give God the glory! He deserves it. I have been blessed by all comments posted and I affectionately say thank you to each person. This three and a half year video set a milestone in my musical ministry. I now understand the purpose for my music and would be delighted to share more.
Debora Freeman Amen !

Debora Freeman awesome spirit filled makes me wanna get up and dance love it You play beautiful WORD be blessed stay blessed You Are Blessed WORD
The Bible says “Make a Joyful Noise”. The old spirituals and music are the backbone of worship. Awesome playing
May God continue to.use you in blessing a younger generation and passing the mantle! I suspect not only playing, but teaching and.couching.humble musicians and worshippers is a calling God might be leading you to.
Hearing that Hammond being played so well just brings a tear to your eye. Black Gospel is some of the best music I’ll ever hear in my life.
Tremendous, her voicings are incredible...
david vliet and Ia lagin
Exactly!!! I keep thinking of the theory and trying to mentally apply some of them into my playing.
Can’t think of any other instrument that has more soul or can reflect so many emotions. God has blessed us with this glorious instrument
Did someone say she still got it? She never lost it. OMG! Do not judge a book by its covered. This Mother of the Church is a senior statesman on the organ. WOW! She can smoke some of these current cats hands down.
William Alston well we'll
William Alston =
We know she never lost it that’s why we say she still has it.
@@anthonyrusso8662 You know what? That makes perfect sense lol.
My God!!! What’s her name?? I Love her playing
Gospel is America’s greatest gift. Thank you.
Almost 10 years ago but this truly blessed me TODAY !
Hearing this mother play makes me want to get back on the keys and play.....alright now mother you play that organ

Anyone else know as soon as she pulled out the drawbars she was going to get down to business?! Lol. Excellent playing!

I could listen to another hour or more of that. She's so modest about it, makes her music all the more pure.
I can sit and listen to this lady off all day playing this organ. Wow
Mother........you still got it.......Let The Lord Use YOU!
When people ask me why I love music so much, this is one of many reasons why. Mother can play and I can listen to her all day! 🙌🏾👏🏾💃
she is anointed on the organ God bless. I remember that old school playing when I was a little girl back in the 70s.
At least on your avatar, you still look like a little girl from back in the 70s :)
M'Lady has some serious CHOPS! Glory to God! Thanks for posting; it made my day!

How can she think she doesn’t do church music well ?! She had me up and praising our God the whole time and I’m sure my knees gave out when the music got faster.
What a wonderful woman , God bless you and your family!!!
Your music is anointed. God bless you, Good Sister.
I could listen to her for hours and hours.
yeah momma....play that thing - beautiful!
There's not enough organ music in our churches these days. This definitely took me back to my youth and left a smile on my face.
I’m Catholic and love all my fellow Christians no matter the denomination they are. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
I've never been to church, but this really makes me want to go
My church has a B3 organ but it’s black it’s the best organ we have in the church, I play for them every single 1 Sunday on the drums I love Jesus Christ our savior and our father 🙏🏽😇
Wow!!! This is what I grew up on. Straight Church!!! Today's music sounds so produced, not a natural sound!! I miss this sound so much
I couldnt agree with you more.
nothing is much better than hearing the your mother play.
"I don't wanna do this..."
Two minutes later: ALL STOPS OUT, LET'S GO!!!
That's my kind of playing! No school like ol' skool!
I may be agnostic, but this type of music will always hold a special place in my heart.
This women truly has music in her soul. Beautiful
That organ just got a good workout! Awesome playing, would love to see music like this in more churches! I play for a church that uses traditional hymns, but i definitely have a great appreciation for gospel organ. Beats a praise band by a long shot any day! Way more soul!

As a white person I always find black funeral services so uplifting. I feel full of faith when I leave. The preacher's message about the hereafter reminds me of our ultimate reward. We all (everyone) needs more of this.
