118th term, 119th term alumni (OG, OB) joined 120th seniors 121th 2nd year students and 122th 1st year students in the show. About 25 117th alumni were helpers at the pit because as 1st year students then in 2018, they already participated in this show before. But 117th, 118th, 119th,120th alumni should join 121th Seniors and 122th 2nd year and 123th 1st year at Rose parade 2025 (if they should go). 117th has never been to RP before.
Is that why the little buck-toothed percussionist was only playing things like tamborine and bongos here, as opposed to xylophone or toms, like she used to?

Another great performance by the Kyoto Tachibana SHS Band. I was so happy to see the graduates come back to perform! They are such fine musicians with great musical ability, great choreography & beautiful smiles. ❤❤❤❤
This is a collaborative event by various groups from elementary to university level to celebrate the anniversary of the sponsor (a TV station whose name I cannot recall at this moment). This is the last time this annual event will be held after a run of about 60 years if I recall correctly.
This is not a contest. The 3,000-person brass band began in 1961, and was held for the first time in four years this year. This will be the last time. The marching contest will be held in Kyoto on September 3, in Kansai on September 23, and in the national contest on November 19.
Has any one else observed? Up until 2017, there was the former Band Director always STEALING the glory from any then DM clothed in orange. Since 2018, after the KT SHS Band has a new Band Director. In 2018, (115th Class): DM Kusaka-san, “Okazel” had FULL GLORY during 2018 3000 people show. In 2022 (119th Class): DM Kihana-san “Creta” had FULL GLORY in Taiwan. In 2023 , (120th Class): DM Noguchi-san “Puncho” had FULL GLORY during 2023 3000 people show. New Band Director and new marching coach are HEEPS BETTER! So I predict:- In 2025 at the Rose Parade there won't be ONE fully dressed "soldier" with boots and headgear MARCHING military-style with a bigger MACE anymore 4 Orange clothed Drum Majors(aka Drum Majorettes) will be DANCING with their batons in sneakers and without headgears WITH FULL GLORY.
一開始就看到木花前指揮在吹長號，很興奮呢！
「♪ダウンバイザー」(パレードの1曲目の定番)と「♪ウィンターゲームス」(ステージの1曲目の定番)を一度で聴けるなんて通常有り得ないんですよね。それに「♪Sing3」の締めの定番までも。昔、阪神甲子園球場で 3番バース、4番掛布、5番岡田のクリーンナップが三連発した時の気分です。盆、正月が一度に来たみたいな・・・。
