This would be a super ambitious project I know, but I had had this idea a few days ago when thinking about what 343 could add to Halo Infinite and it's this. A Gravemind coming out of an Elephant. I know that would be super challenging for you but a mobile Gravemind sounds super cool.
Theory, considering the flood creates bio-mass it's possible the chemical compound of the flood when mixed with plasma leaves a darker yet vibrant blue deadish purple.

The True Flood form isn't the range pure form, tank pure form. It is the Abomination Pure Form. But there are plenty of more pure forms, via halo wars 2 which brought back the pure forms that were cut.
Geez I didn't realize how fungal like the flood looked because the only games it was in you couldn't tell cuz the graphics weren't that good even in Halo CE anniversary and Halo 2 anniversary if it was in a movie yeah you'd be able to tell
