Kenyan Maru Bhajia & Chutney

    Ingredients:
    4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
    Salt to taste
    ¾ cup gram flour
    ½ cup plain flour
    1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    1 tsp chopped green chillies, optional
    Chopped dhania
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    Oil, for deep frying
    1 tbsp Tropical Heat Chilli Lemon Powder, for tossing
    For the chutney:
    Blend 1 carrot, 2 tomatoes, a bunch of coriander leaves and 1 tsp Tropical heat chilli lemon seasoning and pour in a bowl.
    Method:
    Mix the potatoes, salt, gram flour, plain flour, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, dhania and turmeric powder and then deep fry for 3-4 minutes until crispy. The salt added to the potatoes will cause them to release water so don’t add extra water. Once ready, toss with the chilli lemon seasoning and serve with the chutney.
