Oh I love this!! We LOVE wooden toys, and have many! Hape, Plan Toys, and Melissa&Doug all have a huge variety available, so it's nice to hear which ones are worthwhile to others. 😊
Im gonna look and see but have you done an updated wooden toy video? Now that your girls are a little older I would love to see what wooden toys you all have added to your collection!
Do you have the link for the color matching pegs? I can’t seem to find it and your link is broken :( love all your recommendations, thanks for sharing!
Just so you know, I spent HOURS obsessively browsing rainbow stackers and other toys on Etsy after this video and now I have a very long Waldorf wish list. 😂 I ordered each boy a stacker though! One rainbow and one cave, I can't wait to get them! I ordered them unfinished to save a little money since I have a bunch of paints and some sealant already. :)
Thank you so much for this video! My son is 12 months old and we're just getting into wooden toys. I was using M&D but found out they have high lead content in their paints. I will not be buying them anymore.
Yes girl affordable wooden toys that's what I'm talkin aboutI was just contemplating what else we could live without so that I can buy $145 Grimm rainbow thank you for this video
Thank you for doing this video it gives me and my boyfriend something to think about getting for our child and do you recommend any good baby toys as I'm due in may with my first baby
Thanks so much Arianna! Ur a awesome mom I love your learning style with Rev. My little guy Cameron when he hears rev's voice he come my me and he goes " Hi Rev " lol
So many lovely toys. fyi - the word 'these' takes the place of 'the ones'. So, if you say 'these ones', you're really doubling up on the meaning, which is called 'tautology'. So, just say 'these'. 😉 I love the community helpers. I may buy some for my great-nephew's third birthday. They would be fun to use with his road and buildings mat.
5-6 months?? Are those Hape shapes not a choking hazard? How big are they exactly? Rule of thumb is anything that fits inside a toilet paper rule is a no-no for kids 3 and under. Perhaps they look smaller than they actually are. But better safe than sorry!
I have never heard that rule lol. I couldn’t even swallow those if I tried. Choking hazard is typically the size of a grape or smaller. Definitely not a toilet paper roll 🤪
Love the selection that you are showing! I will definitely get a few. I especially liked the stacking toy and the sorter. Also, I wanted to ask - what camera are you using to shoot the video? And is it with a lense? Thanks!
Thanks Kristina! Glad you found it helpful. If I remember correctly I think I shot this with my canon 70d. I can’t remember which lens I had on. Probably the sigma 50mm lens. I shoot in manual :)
+Albags83 I am all about toys with multiple uses! So we use unifix cubes for pattern work. The hape little wooden figures, some of those are actually for threading. They come with a string and have holes in them! Not all do though, so you have to double check that the set is for threading work too!
+debbeez cran I am not sure! Are yoU trying to copy and paste it? Because when links are long, RUclips cuts them off and you can't click and drag to copy it all since it doesn't all show up. It's working on my phone when I click it, and I am not signed in since I don't use the website on my phone! So it should work!
wrong miss im smarter than anyone and need to prove it to feel good about myself!!! its rapeits only pronounced ha pey!!!! fuk i hate you looser grammar police, you dickheads always make yourselves look and sound stupid by getting it wrong every time!!! and fyi some ppl have so many things to say do write type post upload etc etc that unless its their dissertation we aint got for that, and also the readers are not worth that amount of time. sure it's a good thing as it gives ur ego something to do
Dang I'm kind of surprised that they are so expensive to be wooden and pretty basic. I'm not at all belittling their effectiveness at teaching kids different concepts or anything. I just think that they can be a little more affordable. Anyway, sometimes the simpler a toy is the better it is, as it encourages creativity and is more versatile to play with. If I ever have children of my own, I would love to buy some of these!
+misszee It's actually very normal and makes sense when you think about the manufacturing of it! A lot of it is handmade, which takes more time. Like Grimm's and all the Etsy sellers. Hape is so much less expensive because it is machine made! I would say they are pretty comparable to plastic toy companies. Plastic also has a higher availability, it is just in general a cheaper material to use :)
Arianna Pflederer yeah that's true when you put it into perspective. I actually appreciate handmade products a lot more and wouldn't mind paying a little extra!
As stated, plastic is MUCH cheaper to produce once the injection molds have been created. However, I have found that my kids LOVE wood toys over plastic. And yes, wood costs more but is so much more solid and is better for the environment and your kids.
Love this for future! I like idea of wooden toys and toys that help teach.
We loooove wooden toys. We have character toys as well but far more learning toys. My son loves and plays with them all.
It's very useful. Princesses are awesome!

I love these toys
My only complaint - I wish there were more wooden toys on the market without a bunch of pieces
My little dove or something like that on instagram has some things
OMG yes! The amount of pieces gives me anxiety. I’d rather have fewer things.
kimboo toys :)
I believe it's "Bell-ah-roose"😊
