Thank you very much for this video! I have new kittens that knocked over a speaker and it fell to the ground breaking the plug that goes to my subwoofer. Had an extra RCA cable on hand and within a few minutes, the subwoofer is back up and running like a champ. Great video, and thanks again for saving me a lot of money!

So the speaker wire from amp just has one woofer speaker wire connection? I was thinking on getting this system, but removing the speakers and mounting them in the left / right side panels in a 73 ford pinto, It's a trunk model Pinto, I have 6x9s in the rear panel near the back glass already, If I set it up as i said here, can't I use the rcs outs and run them to each speaker? It's weird how it has 2 speaker in the box, but only one speaker connection on the back

Cool. Question - Thoughts on doing something similar to connect a "passive subwoofer" that has only +/- wire inputs to a AV Receiver with a single "Subwoofer Pre Out" plug. ?? The cable would have to be, I guess strong/thick enough to handle power to the sub given it's passive. Correct? I like the idea of the hack and would rather not invest in a Amp or PreAmp ...if that's the case I'll just pick up a powered sub on Buy/Sell of which there are many for under $40. Thoughts?
So is what I'm suggesting possible? IE; avoiding the purchase of a Amp or PreAmp? Seems everywhere I go one of those is required to act as a go between because the passive sub has not power of its own?

The colored are typically positive and the neutral (black) are negative
