Wow, super good video. I am inspired to do the rolling here in the Nilgiris mountains , south India. Is there any online coaching available for hand making Sencha etc .,
Hi Shizuka, thank you for your video about Temomi. It is very informative! Now, I am fascinated by this manual tea rolling! Do you have more detail information about Hoiro table construction? Maybe books or contact person where I can buy the Hoiro design plan? Thank you in advance
Thank you for asking! The hoiro is a wooden frame covered with washi paper on top of an iron grid. Washi is a durable and strong japanese paper made through traditional methods from wood fibers. This is pasted using glue made from konnyaku. This is to consider food safety. They used to put charcoal under the table, but now they use a gas stove to adjust the temperature to make tea. I'm not an expert, so I don't know more than this. Here are some sites for your reference. blog.livedoor.jp/yuki1420/archives/1014501409.html ruclips.net/video/YkJXtJa6kTU/видео.htmlsi=e6DK_hYhHxuRuxS9 www.aokien.com/%E7%84%99%E7%82%89%EF%BC%88%E3%83%9B%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AD%EF%BC%89%E3%81%A7%E4%B9%BE%E7%87%A5%E3%80%82/
Oh, you know much more about temomicha than I do! I've never tasteted a good temomicha yet. Indeed, temomi masters who have 'the hands of God' are getting older in every region. : ( But in the last decade an increasing number of young people seem to be eager to learn and succeed their skills.: )
Very good video, thanks for taking the time to make it.

Shizuka, I love all your videos. But now you are no longer a newbie. You are a green tea expert!
Thanks for watching my videos and I'm happy to hear such compliments.
But I am still a newbie. (´▽`;)
