This song really taps into that anxiety you feel when you’re not where you want be but also not where you were.
To know that we are where we are for a reason is something that I still have to Be reminded of and understand. So I pray for you, me, and anybody else who feels like this. It. Sucks. But This song is like perfectly like a prayer to God. Jus telling it all to God. I I hope you are doing better.

💔 I feel it too, ALL TOO WELL! The song, the lyrics, and your words, that hit me kinda hard, so did the words spoken at the end of this video. Seems u Can't go Backwards & u Can't See Forwards, ppl tryna tell you who you are, I used to know, but been held back so long from myself these some yrs now I'm not sure I know who that is now, that is an anxious, & scary, numbing feeling, but there's gotta be something, somewhere, up ahead to stumble upon at some point, that's what I gotta tell myself I believe anyway. I was struggling to find the feeling this evokes but this explains it perfectly. So close, yet so far.
Recently turned 25 and I spent the day crying. I cried for the little girl I oncewas who had so many dreams and so far they still feel so out of reach. This song perfectly describes how I've been feeling lately. But I love the bit at the end about not putting a lot of pressure on yourself doing what you can do. I don't have it all figured out yet, but I'll try.

as a twenty-something too, EVERYTHING about this song speaks to my being. there's no manual to what we go through.
This song, his voice, the three chords on acoustic guitar, the 808, the strings during the chorus & the look on his face… sitting here watching this over & over & over with tears in my eyes. At first I thought it was about being upset over a break-up. But after watching with the lyrics I think it’s about depression. The spoken words of the older man are what I wish would’ve said to my daughter when she was a 20 something year old kid battling depression. She’s still with us and doing well, so maybe what I said helped a little. For any of you 20 something’s out there who relate to this song and feel down in the dumps, go speak to an older family member to get some real advice & direction. And go speak with a professional. There’s no shame in talking with a therapist. Life can be better. God is good.

This song means a lot to me. I had cancer a couple months back and it just felt like the lyrics applied to me. I felt I was so young to have to go through that, and my life was just flashing before my eyes. I didn’t know what was going to happen to me, the fact that i had been just a normal 20 year old and I just was feeling this sort of pain that most people experience later on in life. I just felt like my eyes were just going and I was afraid of losing myself and thankfully I didn’t, I was lucky, but not everyone is in my situation.

Me and my 6 year old son got into a car accident last year in January, he lost his life, and I was left in a coma for three days with a traumatic brain injury, When I was in the hospital I had this song on repeat because I would ask the doctor for ativan to help me sleep 🥺 thank you for being my medicine at the time. This song still reminds me of those days.
