No one needs to ‘honour’ the colour that any one company says is the colour of the year. In this case, if you’re a cool and/or just don’t like the colour, then just don’t wear it in any combination. Please, no one ever feel they need to be a slave to fashion or what’s ’in.’ In terms of interior decor, I was around when peach was ‘in’ during the eighties 😬 😂 so it’s not something I want to re-visit. So glad there are so many other colours we can choose from and as you rightly say, it’s only a passing trend.
I am doing a happy dance at this color! As a warm or golden Spring with strong Autumn leanings, peach, apricot and salmon are my wow colors! Can't wait now to go shopping! But, as I usually struggle most other years with the Pantone yearly color, it would be nice if next year they picked a universal color like teal where there is an actual version of that color for every season.
Yeah! Try finding outerwear in spring colours when your object is to look good but not look like a rainbow vomited on you. Everything's black or navy or at best autumn-toned. Winters don't know how easy they have it in western society.
@@SchlichteTovenThis is soooo true! I married a redhead because I got sick and tired of Winter men hating my color choices as a Spring! Winters can be so judgmental about that stuff, like their preferences are the only ones that count.
As a cool undertoned girl, I could see wearing a white shirt with maybe striped shorts in the summer. But nothing makes me inclined to want to wear that color! Nice job with your ideas though! My favorite one is the peach paired with the soft burgundy. I could see that in a bouquet of flowers🪷
Thank you, for explaining Peach Fuzz. You’ve got most of the color psychology figured out, and early, before fashion magazines come out. Graphic designers and artists will be studying the technical color wheel on the combinations and so, refresh their designs with the change. It is winter, and this pale color may be a challenge at this time of year. So pleased to see you share your wealth of knowledge on the clothing colors for the different skin tones.
Soft autumn here. Actually I can't imagine wearing peach fuzz. Soft coral pink is great though, pretty similar just less orange. It was pretty bold of Pantone to choose an orange, a uniquely warm colour! Don't despair, all the other colours still exist 😊
I LOVE the sentiment of this color. I have a hard time wearing it, and have tried with no luck. Like you, I love magenta on me, but I have a hard time incorporating it in my home. However, I do decorate with peach and coral tones (along with grays and blues with pops of turquoise/teals). They mimic some colors I have in the sky during sunrises or sunsets, so I bring that into my world... just not in my wardrobe unless it is a tiny pop of color with a healthy dose of black.
I’m a Spring and just got a dress with too much magenta in the pattern to wear out, without a pound of makeup. You couldn’t tell, online. Such a beautiful color…wish I could wear it out. I couldn’t bear to return it! I love Peach Fuzz on, though!
I feel lucky as I am autumn soft I will buy some peach fuzz fabric to make myself something for spring summer 2024 😊 I really enjoy watching your videos thank you
Not to get into too deep a color theory argument, but I disagree that this color is "soft" or soft-dominant or soft exclusive. It is definitely warm and definitely lighter in value. But it doesn't have a gray under leaning or it isn't toned. Therefore it isn't "soft" in the sense of say how dusty rose or muted olive are soft. It is a tint meaning white has been added to lighten the color into a pastel. Bright or clear dominant springs might struggle with the color a bit because it is tinted and not a mid-tone color (therefore the intensity or saturation can't be pumped all the way up.) But every other spring will wear this color beautifully as will the light summer spring neighbor. Warm Autumn will get away with it but the warm spring will wear it better because of the value. Deep Autumn and True Autumn won't wear it well at all because the value is too light. Soft Autumn can try it but I don't recommend for their soft summer neighbor.
Peach Fuzz is definitely a color for warm undertoned individuals because of how much red and yellow is in this color, but cool undertoned individuals can wear it as well for occasions just not near the face. Now, speaking of this color exclusively for Springs and Autumns, brighter peach fuzzes are perfect for Springs but not to well for Autumns as this will overpower the softness of Autumn. On the contrary, softer peach fuzzes will work for Autumns but not too well for Springs as this will drain their brightness leading to disconnected harmony.
I am in autumn colour family and was waiting for this colour for decades! I´ve bought so many clothes that looked like this in the shop, and in daylight they became cool pink. HATE IT. But I ´ve lost faith that there really will be clothes in this peach fuzz. It´s the colour of the year for a few months now and there are pastel blues and pinks in the shops, here and there some orange, as every year.
Yay! I'm a warm autumn and that peach fuzz suits me. Not very ideal, could go with a bit darker like rust orange, but I'm glad that the color of the year for next year is warm. Last year was viva magenta & was cool, which didn't suit me. Hooray for warm-toned people!
Two years ago the shops have a similar color in the shops and I bought a linen shirt and a summer dress. I’m a winter and I wear this with chocolate brown or blue denim. Maybe my items have a cool or neutral undertone? 🤔 I don’t know, but I like this color on me 😅
No idea what "season" I am but I am tired of the fleshy tones that are so popular since they wash me out. That dirty pinkish tone was in last year along with the soft terracotta and the fleshy beige like millenial pink (rose quartz) that was in a few years ago. I really like and can wear orange and coral and even a brighter peach but those soft flesh like tones are instant "are you feeling ok?" washed out colors for me. Same with the oatmeal tones (sand dollar). I do like your suggestions of doing a bit of it here and there however.
I'm a winter, and luckily I don't gravitate to colors like pe😢ach fuzz, because these types of colors make me look sick. Very pretty color on other people though! I don't own anything like this color.
To the best of my knowledge, I am a soft autumn. When I wear peach near my face, it makes me look as if I’m not wearing any clothes. My blonde hair and light peach complexion are just too similar. I avoid it and much prefer a deeper salmon or salmon pink. I would only wear peach fuzz as pajamas 🙂
I have that problem with a certain shade of beige! I once had a summer top that color; the mailman almost dropped his bag when he saw me in the back yard! 😂
BTW, be careful wearing Peach Fuzz color if you are light skin person, like Caucasians, Asians, because if you wear a Peach Fuzz legging, tight dress, you will look like you are naked from a distance lol
Added into accessories, cosmetics, animal/print with peach fuzz as solid background. 🥰 A shimmer in this color matched with a gold accessory would pair nicely. 😁
Just because it's the color of the year doesn't oblige us Winters to wear it. There are lots of other muted colors in the Pantone palate for Spring 2024 that aren't as egregious as Peach Fuzz and are more flattering for cool-untertone complexions.
I won't be wearing anything close to this colour, as a dark summer. Luckily lots of more summer friendly colours are trending for 2024 - red, grey, silvery green and chambray blue.
I'm a spring but I think I am probably a bright spring, and will definitely have to pair the peach fuzz with something brighter and more saturated in colour, I loved the suggestion of the burgundy with the peach fuzz. I have a cotton tunic I use for the beach that has that peach fuzz with oranges, pinks and white and it really suits me, so I'll be bang on trend come the summer!
The color is more warm and light than bright. At full tilt near the face this color might wash you out. Blended with your bright palette you can give this color more oomph.
I'm a Bright Spring and I love this color, especially with aqua or turquoise accents, like earrings. I have two cashmere sweaters in this color. I like wearing them with navy pants; I think the high contrast helps the overall effect.
I found it hilarious when you called the color peach fuzz " a winter's worst nightmare." We don't have to follow any trends, but if it's your thing, have fun. I like how French women don't seem as driven by trends.
BTW, be careful wearing Peach Fuzz color if you are light skin person, like Caucasians, Asians, because if you wear a Peach Fuzz legging, or a tight dress, top, you will look like you are naked from a distance lol
I’m so excited when Spring colors trend! Orange has been the best one, recently. Others, like coral and olive green were nice. Though they were more often Fall (olive) or Fall and Summer versions of coral, when a color trends, I look hard for Spring versions, so I have orange, coral and light olive shirts I love. This peach 🍑 is perfect for Spring, though! I already have a sweatshirt in this color.
Not wearing this color at All! As a winter who looks good in blues and purples peach is actually my least favorite color. I’ve even wondered if I have a deep seated trauma attached to it. But, no, I think it just makes me look and feel ill.😂
OMG GIRL I'm so glad you made this!!! From the SECOND they announced it I was like, "well, guess my true-winter ass is gonna be off-trend once again." 😅
Love the sentiment of this colour. (we will need all the togetherness and kindness here in the US during the upcoming year, uff da) As a summer I won't be wearing it much, thinking it could pair with a blue or grey for me. Ha! everything goes with grey in my mind. (Smile). Thanks for going over this colour and options. This is so helpful. (Hmm, the burgundy combo.......love)
Hi Sarah! I'm a warm autumn and have always liked wearing peachy colors even though they have come and gone from my wardrobe over the years. Currently I don't think I even have anything peach - orange, yes! I guess I'll have no trouble finding it in the new year! Wonderful sentiment - have a joyous Christmas everyone!
wear it as part of a print (very small) or as a contrast with your lighter and neutral light/medium colors. I would get a summer bag and maybe a light scarf in a print to go around my waist, on a bag or around my jacket lapel (not my neck).
It's a color that works for me: warm undertones, fair skin - I plan to wear it with olive and maybe navy. As a more or less Autumn (olive undertones) I can do neutrals as well as warm.....I see it with navies including denim and tweeds.....anyway. Not sure I would like it say painted on a wall this looks like grandma's old living room....
I am an Autumn, who would never wear Peach Fuzz. It would make me look very colorless and washed out, because it is almost the color of my skin. Peach always looks to me like a color that wanted to be pink, but failed, and was ruined by an infusion of yellow and beige that washed it out into a dreary, lifeless shade. The pine green and your sweater's warm off white doesn't fight with the Peach Fuzz as much as do the other colors, but the color is a disaster for the most part, and would distract from the inherent beauty of navy, burgundy, and other deep shades. The committee at Pantone often seems to intentionally pick colors that are hard to utilize. Following this trend, in clothing and interior décor would probably be a waste of money, and as a woman who is surrounded by men in my life, I know that most of them would hate this color, because it seems that most men like brighter and deeper colors. No sense in irritating your audience with an unappealing color, or wearing a color that would alienate those whom you would wish would look at you.
As a light spring, I am of course just delighted. I will need to not overdo it, lol. As always, just one season later, this will have been last year's color. A good thing to keep in mind. But there is no question, that I will buy a few different items with this coloring and will enjoy wearing them. Btw, your suggestions, on what to do, when this is not your color, are really great suggestions.
Super vlog as always, Sarah. I’m a very warm undertoned person, nearly all shades of orange suit me so I’m happy about this and I’ve actually got a vintage top in this colour. It seems any type of orange is difficult for a cool undertone person to carry off, so unless you absolutely love it just don’t buy into it. Even having it worn on your bottom half will make it difficult to pair up with the other colours in your pallette. I remember one or two years ago, very Peri was everywhere and it just looked absolutely awful on me, I didn’t buy any of it and don’t regret it! I think the only way you can get around a very clashing colour is if you have little bits of it in a pattern, for example, a printed top, or a fairisle jumper or a tweed with a little bit of peach in the pattern. Black looks awful on me and I find this is the only way I can wear it, if it is in tiny amounts mixed in with my better colours.
As a soft autumn, I could probably wear this color. In the 1980's, my kitchen trim was painted peach and I didn't mind it then. Not sure why but I really do not like peach any more so I will pass. Great video, thank you!
I'm more confused than before! I'm v pale, suit gold AND silver, thought I was cool toned (summer) but wear peach and need bright colours or I disappear (and don't suit black) 😮

As a true autumn, I am delighted! I already own a summer dress in this shade and it's one of my favorite summer clothes !
Wonderful!
I've been wondering what I would do with peach fuzz (probably not much :) as a bright winter. Fun for the warm folks! Season's Greetings to all!
Seasons greetings! Best to stay away from peach fuzz I think!

oooh nice!

Con tanto color HERMOSOOO, COJIERON EL MÁS FEOOO,😂😂😂😮😮😮😢😢😢
Same. It pulls out all the green in olive skin and I look like I'm nauseated 🤢🤣🤣 also makes my freshly whitened teeth look sooooo yellow😂
This was a popular color, and baby blue, in the late 80s, and as a winter it did nothing but wash me out.

A True Autumn has entered the Chat...😅😅😅 Of course i love this colour and i'm happy we will see some makeup that is not blue based pink blush 🧡💚🤎❤️

Yes, those exact drapes helped identify my undertone. I looked sick with the salmon drape. 😆

Ha ha. Live your comment!
Thank you! Enjoy wearing Peach Fuzz ☺️
Better to let the trends pass if they don’t work!
As a soft autumn, I could probably wear this color. In the 1980's, my kitchen trim was painted peach and I didn't mind it then. Not sure why but I really do not like peach any more so I will pass. Great video, thank you!
Thanks for watching and sharing!
Thank you for sharing the color of the year.
Is this only for fashion industry or for all like household items?
You will see it across all design industries!
I would wear a muted peach as a skirt, with a soft grey over-sized blouse or sweater. I'm a dark winter, so I can handle a tiny bit of warmth.😊
Love that! Perfect for a Winter ☺️
Ah, got a nice thrifted peach print scarf a couple of years ago. Now is the time!
Time to shine!
Just bought a blazer in this colour. As a spring I’m thrilled
Oooh lovely! Enjoy wearing it!
I am a summer- I can't wait to wear this color. I love what it respresents too.
Enjoy it! :)
I'm more confused than before! I'm v pale, suit gold AND silver, thought I was cool toned (summer) but wear peach and need bright colours or I disappear (and don't suit black) 😮
Have you had a colour consultation?
@@sarahryanthestylecoach yep, they said I was soft summer
A beautiful colour but I don't like peach as a colour for me (I'm a dark autumn and often mistaken for a dark winter) 🙂
I understand. Best to wait for something that has a little more depth for you ☺️
