brick perms, flicks, poodle curls, (except for the more dated american rock bands lol) and overly spiked styles and the so called mullet and styles like jenny bradleys were starting to wane too in place of more fashion oriented sleek styles, and less and less spikey hair styles were fashionable by 86 87 as clean cut fade styles or graduated hair was in for both or all sexes.
but corrie had to be more ironic and post war gritty and true trends were'nt ever really truely part of corrie until the 90's wore on as by then younger demographcs and public expectations demanded corrie to truely catch up as irony in the early post war 20th century style,, was no longer visually acceptable then in the 90's onward,, but mid 80's corrie is a hotchpotch of visual irony and wasnt always up to date in mid 80's terms in all reality
As a young woman in 86, i'd have thought back then that corries ladies looked ded average and not really fashionable, more dreary and downbeat in all honestly except for sally and a few other intermittent exceptions here and there,
so i think more before that time was most hair in 86 corrie, and no where truly near of that time as its all fashion hangovers from earlier periods really.

@@nicolataylor6011 I don't know anyone who had hair like that in the 80s🙄
Ken can barely fit in those clothes. Guess the diet didn't last.
Rommel is gorgeous! ❤
Bet’s new wig 🙈
How can you run a salon with no hair washing and drying station??! 😂🤣
U2 cool
What has Bet come as in that new wig???!!!
Thankyou for the reruns of Corrie but this is where I stop watching them now - the programme for me got worse and more depressing from here onwards.
Terry's getting annoying in this one
