Join Heritage Iron Magazine as we tour some of the coolest tractor caves in the nation! Brad Walk is located in Sigel, IL and has more 6030s than we could keep track of.
I am jealous in a good way for Brad. I don't need several 6030s, just one would do. There is a 7520 not 3 miles from here and I want to try to buy it if it's not hurt terribly bad. Love the first Gen big iron. Miss my 4620.It is in good hands now.
I worked part time when I went to high school. He had a turbocharged D4 Cat and a 4520. The second year I was there he traded the 4520 for a 6030, that seemed like a real powerhouse. I spent time on all three tractors, this was back in the 1972 to 1973 era. I started working for him when I was 15.
I've seen some of Brad's 6030s on Tractor House. If I wanted to buy one, he'd be my seller, for sure. All his units look top notch, and some have been turned up to 200+ hp.
Gee Sherry this guy cannot be more then a 1/2 hour from where you are in Greenville.Saw the 1st 6030 ever built that he has in Penfield in the past 6 years. In the rear Green Magazine has many, many ads by this guy each month. One 6030 had no intercooler on it
Could either one of you looked the other in the eye ? Girl is interviewing him ,and, is not even looking at him. Probably would have paid more attention if he had Allis Chalmers tractors .
One of the most awesome tractors of all time. Puts the Ollie 2255, AC D21, and IH 1456 to shame. But only most of the 6030s do. I say this because I THINK some of the 6030s came with 140 hp engines, not the 175 hp unit.
The 6030 was a big heavy dog of a tractor, even with a P pump on the 531 made little power. The D21 would eat a 5010-20 without hesitation, the 6030 competed with the 220 Allis Chalmers, and could not run with the 220. Hence the reason 8v71 were bolted into 5010-6030. Its a nice looking tractor, looks big and powerful..... but that's where it ended
+Kris Morse .You should reread it than, what I said was a D21 ran against 5010-5020. The D21 wasn't built when the 6030 came out. The 220 was. The Deere built 531 cu in engine was a turd, and remained a turd right threw the 8650. Bored out turbo charged, intercooled, pumps changed remained a turd, and if you ever actually drove one your laughing would be crying
Ok, we all clearly can see that none of these are real Wheatlands. Look at the draw bar, the frame rails, the pto. Wheatlands don't have PTO's. Right now 1/3/15 Brad only has 1 REAL 6030 Wheatland. He'd be lucky lucky to find a second one. They only built 45 of them that I know of.
Sweet 6030 sherry! Thanks for sharing
The audio quality is flawless
Those big ol tractors are the best they ever built red or green💪👍but I’m partial to that green I grew up on a 4320

Love that ole iron it’s got a gear shift lever
Gotta luv those 6030s
If I make it into heaven, I hope it will look a lot like that.
That green Wagner is one sweet machine
Good video... However I really wished you would have touched more on the other tractors especially the 4wd.
The 6030 was a war horse that would pull so hard it would lift the front end off the ground ! It was a beast and it took a man to drive it!
I'm 12. I drive one all the time. The one my grandpa bought brand new. Hell I even drive an 8300 on on a disk every fall.
Had mine set at 300 hp. No problems
love those big 2wd's, any colour
I wonder what the story is on the only Allis-Chalmers in the place?
I was wondering the same thing

They all had the 531's. Unless it was a Wheatland.
+BrettKuntz all 6030's came out of the factory with the 531 whether it was a row crop or a Wheatland.
