This was all entirely accurate. My parents especially dad had very high expectations of me (my 10th lord is sitting with rahu in the 4th) and valued only accomplishments not my dreams personality etc or who I was. I’m 31 and unlearning this. He was absent a lot of my life. I used to look down at family life but now I’m realizing how great it is to have a normal life. I struggle still with accepting people who have lack of ambition or are just ordinary imo. It makes me condescending sometimes
Thank you for this video. It was one of the most complete videos I've ever watched about Ketu in 10th and Rahu in 4th. But at the same time I feel very sad because from all the videos I've seen (in many channels) none of them gave me good professional perspectives. I have this placement (ketu in cancer in 10th and Rahu in 4th) and I can't find a job that makes me feel satisfied. I am 32 (going to turn 33 next February), I have a degree in Management but I couldn't succeed or feel happy. I tried to go back to college to take an IT course but I ended up giving up due to financial problems (although it was a public college) and I can't be sure if I'd be happy or professionally satisfied working with IT (I don't even know if this is for me). Now I'm trying to become a UX designer but I similarly can't find that inner passion, that inner fire that would make me go on. I was thinking of becoming a civil servant/public servant (I don't know how to say) but for that I would have to take an exam and be approved first... in a nutshell I am literally depressed and I can't see any solution to my life... I feel lost and I feel stuck in life because career and making money is an important part of my life and at my age I don't have anything. I look to myself and see all of my plans fail miserably and when I realize I can't help my mom I feel useless. When I think I won't have my beloved ones forever (feeling the way I do) depression takes over me.

I have similar placement but with Gemini in 10th KETU and RAHU in Sagittarius in 4th - Like she mentioned its possible to be prone to depression by wanting to achieve a greater status, searching for our purpose and over looking the small achievements. We put a lot of pressure upon ourselves which causes us depression. I think the lesson is to stick to something and build on that skill to have a steady income and at the same time continue to do things that bring us joy. I think we also need to re evaluate our values like how she mentioned. I know you mentioned you feel a need to help your mom, it goes along with that attachment and ideal input in us to take care of our parents or maternal side. I've had to re evaluate that idea/value. I help my mom in anyway I can but I also need to set my own boundaries/limits and it takes away that pressure/depression to feel like i have to take care of my mom; financially, emotionally.. etc. Obviously we all have a different path but this was my understanding of balancing rahu/ketu. I still struggle with this and am turning 32 this year.

This placement is awful because I can't find happiness in my family or career. God, I wish I didn't have it! At work, I have always been surrounded by narrow-minded and retrograde bosses and coworkers, which led to quarreling. It is as if my bosses were headless, incapable of seeing the best solutions for problems.

What you said is true. Rahu and Saturn in 4th house here. My mom left us when I was 8. I lived with my dad since but he was not very caring and he was def emotionally distant and biased against me. I've also had a hard time keeping jobs and I find myself thinking that many things on the job are obvious yet others don't seem to see it. They disregard what I say and then regret it later or don't apologise. I've been trying to get self employed but it's hard when you don't have a support system or your savings keep getting swallowed up because of periods of unemployment. Of course my tertiary education has suffered and I'm still getting a lot of challenges even after switching careers at midlife.

This is me, totally true! Moon in 10th also. Very hard placement. 10th is Pisces, and Mars in 12th, so spirituality is my saving grace, literally! This placement is why I was driven to study astrology, and this video has hit the nail on the head. I finally get it after over 20yrs of studying Western Astrology! Thank so much!! I do wish you'd do preditictions on New and Full Moons. You're the only Vedic Astrologer I really like and miss my moon predictions. Interesting. I've had the exact opposite problem. Vedic astrologers using tropical placements seem to be far more accurate for my situation than those using sidereel, which is a bummer, since I'd actually prefer my sidereel chart lol. I'm tropical ketu 10th in taurus and rahu 4th in scorpio (conjunct moon also yikes!), while my sidereel is ketu 9th in Aries and rahu 3rd in Libra. Problem is Anahita Rao's description of 10th/4th fits my life so much more. Self taught, ups and downs in profession, can't decide on one path. Every time I worked as an employee I never last long. Frequent lack of fulfillment career wise. Only appreciate the big successes in career. All me to a tee 100%.
I wish there were vedic astrologers who'd be willing to compare both a persons tropical and sidereel placements and evaluate the differences. Too many people seem to be biased and dismiss the other.

I have this placement, if seen from the moon chart. My lagna chart placements actually do not translate to real life as well as this does. I do consider the joys of regular life as trappings, particularly in a cynical mood. Regarding bosses, I would say I find them sticking too much to the traditional way of doing things sometimes and holding on stubbornly, but it’s not like it bothers me too much, I am not that attached to work. Growing up, yes there were a lot of expectations to achieve, and as a grown adult I have had to “find” what actually makes me feel happy and comfortable

I can’t stand these cookie cutter analyses. Some of it true but I am in many ways the opposite from what you describe even though I have this placement. No job, and I mean none are below me. I just wish you shared the benefit of this dumb placement so I could understand why the suffering. Hate it.
