Suction को लंबे समय तक निरंतर करने से रोगी के फेफड़ों में जमी हुई बलगम, खुजली या दर्द जैसी समस्याओं से निजात मिलता है। इसके लिए निम्नलिखित विधि का उपयोग किया जाता है:
1. पहले तो आपको अपने हाथों को साफ करना होगा। साथ ही अपने हाथों पर माइक्रोबियल नहीं होना चाहिए।
2. फिर स्कैल्प या शर्प ब्लेड का उपयोग करके अंतर्नली को निकालना होगा।
3. अब, सक्शन की प्रक्रिया के लिए एक सक्शन कैथेटर को एक जांच के लिए चढ़ाया जाता है। उसे फेफड़ों के बलगम को खींचने के लिए उस पर वैक्यूम या अधिक दबाव दिया जाता है।
4. अंतिम रूप से, सक्शन कैथेटर को सुरक्षित तरीके से निकाला जाना चाहिए और हाथों को फिर से साफ किया जाना चाहिए।
