For what it's worth, tell your mates to stop sitting down so much. Many of the uphills that they had trouble with wouldn't be an issue if they stopped un-weighting the back tire by sitting down and putting thier feet out.
wish i had something like this in the northeast!
It was about a 2 and a half drive from us in the Midlands 😁
