hi maa'm , my baby is 14 months old . 1. can i give water instead of milk at night time? 2. if so should i use sippy or straw cup at night time? 3. should i make her sit , when giving water at night time ?
She likely will reject water because the sleep association is with milk and nursing. Its' the action of sucking and taste that she uses to self soothe.
I soooo struggle with this with my four month old 😩😩😩 so once I stop nursing to sleep.. How do I go about nights? What I mean is when he wakes up , instead of “nursing him to sleep” how will he get his night feed?? I’m not sure if im making sense lol he’s pediatrician still recommends he eats at least twice.

I found this video more helpful than the other one about reasons for sleep regression and how to deal with it. Sorry for the bad comment there #i dontsleepanymoresoatadcranky. It does make sense, my baby is used to me jumping and nursing her at every wimp. I think I’m emotionally ready to make her ‘cry it out’ at this point😵💫
I'm so sorry you're having such a hard time and totally understand the frustration - when I was going through I too thought I should be able to get a quick tip on the internet to solve it. The reason I promote the book is that's the full picture! It gives you the very best chance of fastest and most compassionate success. There is no quick tip really. Responding, which will include tears usually, is the 5th pillar of the Helping Babies Sleep Method. Sometimes just working on the other pillars can help all on their own! It's really not just about closing the door - it's about setting her up for success with timing and messaging and then you can be present to help if that suits her personality. Good luck Olga.
So what should we do if I don't want to nursing to sleep😖
This is better than a random parents opinion
