I’m to-day years old hearing this version. Hot damn. Funk me. Thank you Danny Bedrosian’s book. Fu’kn Tiki plus Eddie/Billy (need to look up Billy Coorish on organ)
One of George Clinton's most overlooked genius was how he was able to rework old Parliament songs into a more funk-rock oriented style for Funkadelic or one of the other P-Funk acts. This song was reworked by Funkadelic on the Funkadelic abum, "Baby I Owe You Something Good" on Lets Take It to the Stage", "I Call My Baby Pussy Cat" became "Pussy" on America Eats Its Young and "Heart Trouble" renamed "You Can't Miss What You Can't Measure" - Cosmic Slop. He even reworked doo-wop "All Your Goodies Are Gone" to the incredible version on Up For the Downstroke. There are probably a dozen more. Nothing went to waste.
Billy courish who played keyboards on this jam said him eddie billy and tiki played on here plus he said there was some unreleased material in the revilot or golden world vaults we know the parlaments has a unreleased album on motown
I just wanna testify, Look at what I almost missed, and this gem, made the late 60's a treasured era I did love me some Parliaments way back then!!
The Jam of all Jams!
Damn I love this song. I wore the 45 out and my parents thought I had gone nuts, naw, I went funky.
The Supremes Marvin Gaye, Temptations, would go see Parliament- Funkadelic perform in the Detriot clubs to unwind and get FUNKY"" All Hail P-FUNK.

I prefer the long version of the group's song.
Cmon where is everyone?! I thought everybody’s gettin funky?
FattyCorpusle lol..lm here..loved them from jump street
They gettin' down...over here.
We are in the house getting smothered in some funk!!
And funkadelic later remade it even harder and funkier and edgier
but the groove is thicker here. i will always prefer this verzh
@@BarryESchwartz we all have a preference
And sounds more adventurous than the single version.
The original version
Yes
This song was featured on their first Funkadelic LP, entitled Funkadelic!!

Whether you like or don't,
It's the short version of the song.
I can Ryhme over this ! Peace!
And Norman Whitfield heard this and asked the band to create some tracks and so began motions psychedelic soul period
Wonder if Eddie Hazel played a Fender Strat or Telecaster.
That's the JAWN! JBs brought me here.
Philadelphian? Yeah , me too 😂
George Clinton is the Treasurer of Funk. He might hit me with the Bop Gun for this Sir Nose Comment.
Just came across this. Funky as hell but the other version is so damn gutter!
Is that the Parliaments in the 0:51 photo? Never saw this one before and I don't recognize the faces.
Charlie Campino
It doesn't matter to me.
