I actually use the Smiley regular duck on my RS Pro 668. Does quite well when I visit the CSX River Line in NY.

I have the Diamond on my mobile and the Traintenna base antenna. Diamond is great for what it is but the traintenna base antenna is just unbelievable. I live in a slight valley and when I installed this I picked up 30-40 miles immediately and clearer signals. Highly recommend both.

Use to go to Cincinnati for various jobs. Stayed either in Blue Ash or Fairfield. Really like Cincinnati. Just a nice place, especially the Indian Hills area.

Had to get that smiley slim duck after watching your videos and reading about them in forums. Definitely want that traintenna for the car though

I have the Traintenna on my car and it works great. I get signals up to 20 miles away or more.

I like to travel for pleasure on Amtrak. Always take my Uniden BC1225AT and find out what is really happening, especially if delays.

Nice video. I have three RH77’s - 2 w/BNC’s on scanners and the third is the SMA version in an FT-60. The Smiley is on order! I also have the Comet CA-2X4SR on a trunk lip mount, but only use it for ham stuff. I may buy the DPD TrainTenna mag mount, but I already have a 1/4 wave mag mount I made and it works well. I like the use of the radial mount kit to make the Comet a base antenna. Wonder if anyone here has tried the KB9VBR railroad/NOAA cooper j-pole?

In Australia a lot of rail networks now trunked digital. Maybe not so much in remote areas. Satellites are also changing everything.
