I feel like where Amber did a great job showing off the alcoholic, battered version of Persephone, the one who has been defeated by being stuck in Hadestown, Jewell's version shows more hope. She's ready to leave Hadestown and is just biding her time. Both are amazing takes on the character and I love them both equally
i absolutely love amber gray, but jewelle's version of persephone is unbeatable! the energy she brings to her character and the way she sings is just perfect. she seems so mystical.

Jewell's made me fall in love with this character. The upbeat lively energy she gives life to the song and make it more interesting to watch.
WOW!! What a performance! I always loved her as the alto anchor of the Fates and saw her and most of the original cast in Nov 2021. I am so glad to see her shining as Persephone. I just ran across her R&B album Herstory and it is also amazing! Go, Jewelle!
