my trick for the Blackstone is get a adjustable regulator and a MENSI 1/4" Quick Connect Propane Disconnect Universal Adapter Kit Convert Regulator with 3/8" Female Flare
You guys honestly need to get rid of the keystone! The only keystone that is decently built is a Montana. Stay away from Dutchman too. They have frame problems.❤
You two have quickly become my favorite RV family! Love the content. Informative while being entertaining. Craig’s accent just tickles me. 😂 You two are just fun to watch and so genuine.
For bedding and pillows I get a couple of the large clear plastic bags that the laundromats that do your laundry for you use. I dont drop my laundry off as I do it myself but these places will usually sell you a bag or 2 or sometimes even give you 1 for free. My last trip I realized the one I had been using was tearing and I asked if I could buy a couple and they just gave me 2. ❤
Love, love, love my compost. We've been full time starting our 3rd year. Never regretted it once. We put it in before we left our farm for the road. Such a great decision and so easy to clean and dispose of. I don't know anyone that hates or regrets theirs. 😊
Dollar Tree has SS Scrapers for $1.25 ea… they fit on the griddle edge, hangs down blocking the wind…. They are about 6” long, so I have about 6 of them… only use on the wind side or sides…. These work perfectly for our Blackstone
We have the black stone and have taken it all over overlanding and it’s our go to for rving. The trick to the gap is to place it in front of your rv to helps block the wind. Allow space so it doesn’t burn down your rv but it works good in my eye.
I came over to comment that your honesty makes you stand out from the rest. Seems others agree. Everyone that likes the Blackstone got them for free. Haha. Ya keep doing what your doing. Good job. Congrats on the new rig.
hay guys I just read a headline that said 10 people were murdered in Baja northwest Mexico at a rally car run I don't know how many were injured they said there were rally cars riddled with bullets and bodies lying everywhere I am glad you guys are back in USA
I saw another couple that had a frame issue where the back of the fifth wheel was sagging. After 56 days at the RV manufacturer for other numerous issues, they took it to Lippert in Elkhart, In. Sounds like the frame is too weak behind the wheels. They said Lippert was going to add more support.
A cheap way to make wind guards is to use dough scrapers that you can buy cheap at the dollar store. Then you just hang them off the sides of the griddle to block the wind.
Ps, looks like yall have been around where we've been. Also, Craig, I HATE our blackstone. Rob wanted to get one so we did, but I hate it. We've used it twice. I have no desire to use it again. I hate the way it cooks, plus the wind thing. We've been all over Arizona the last year. Wind is a huge thing out here as yall know.
Hi guys... We are glad that you're back in the United States however you're in a wrong state... $25 to dump and fill up...😢.... That's outrageous however you did say there was nobody there so that explains a lot too.... Thanks for the video looking forward to the next one... Stay safe...J&A
Craig, they sell little wind shields that go on the sides around there. they're magnetic they pop right on. They really help. I know this video is old, but I'm just watching it now. P.s. I live 10 minutes from there in yucca valley 👍🇺🇲
Washing clothes is no problem it's the folding and putting them away part, I've learned to roll my close instead of fold, keeps out the wrinkles and faster to do. Plus your smile shines even more with your hair pulled up. Enjoy the road and smooth travels.
You may not like laundry day but I’m sure you like clean clothes. Next trailer get a stackable washer and dryer so when you are at a full hookup for a night you can do it all. Just saying that’s what we do 😂😂
oooooh yeah! the good ole Dry lake bed.. that place close place to do some camping and some wheeling.. but sadly, people are starting to leave their garbage out there.. its a shame, a beautiful spot is being ruined.
Here’s a bit of Starlink advice for everybody. I have made the mistake of setting up Starlink when it was lightly lightly raining and just the smallest micro drop of water on the tip of that cord will short out the entire dish and it will not operate again after drying out. I now carry around a can of duster spray air to completely dry out the tip of that cord and up in the hole of the Starlink dish.
We have an 12 volt Ecojohn propane incinerator Tiny John toilet in our cabin...cinderella makes one too...not flawless but way better in my opinion than composting ones...burns the urine and poo!!! to ASH! Not cheap tho....Incinolet makes electric ones but you need some real power systems for those...the propane ones are low power use and dont use all that much propane....using one of these allows you to convert your black water tank to another gray water tank if connected together....
The large size IKEA blue bags are great for laundry and lots of other things. They also sell large blue ones with zippers. Those are excellent for storing out of season clothing and extra bedding.
You guys should get a portable black tank for your new rig. We have one and it makes boondocking so much easier!!! We have a pump and macerator that we connect to our sewage connection on our rig and to our portable tank that we load in the back of the truck. We are boondocking near the sand dunes in CO right now and the national park has free water and dump. We have used this already a few times with our portable black tank
We keep thinking about getting one! It might be especially useful because we do plan on slowing down a bit more throughout this year and staying in one spot longer, although we keep saying that 😂 and we must be close by right now actually!! We are near the sand dunes too!
Grill on the side up against the rv where there is no wind. Plus bring down the awning. That helps us out! That starlink dish will take about 2 months to get. Have a friend that had that problem in March, just now got his new/used satalite. It will not be brand new, it’ll be refurbished.
Literally so happy we don’t have to deal with a black tank, with the potential issues & the extra water usage. We have the Separett Villa, the liquid goes to the grey tank and solids into a trash bag. No smell, no dealing with composting material like coconut husk, no special chemicals or TP.. you only look at the contents once for 5-10 seconds when you’re taking the bag out to the trash. For us (2 people) our toilet lasts 30-50 days.
@@wildrvlife It’s much better than the popular natures head 🤢. There is a little fan that pushes the smell outside. Which we’ve never had a issue with smells outside or inside. Definitely look into it!
We love our Blackstone, but we often are camping nestled in the woods, so not much wind. We did have an issue when camping tight on the ocean though. It took my shrimp almost an hour to cook!! 🍤 No good advice, but maybe if you can set your Blackstone up where your camper blocks the wind??? 🤷🏼♀️
Joshua tree is better between October to March cooler or cold I've been out for about 15 years and the marine base is in twenty nine palms or the stumps I'm a marine good video 😊safe travels 😊
There is a kit I ordered on very popular site that does a really good job of blocking the wind on my exact grille. As a bonus the grille also heats up much quicker. There is a bit of a learning curve to not getting too hot. I attempted to name the where and brand but got removed.
It's good to see you back in the States!! I hope your slide repair goes well. Have you thought about what you are going to do about the crack in the exterior? That will be a real problem if water gets in there...
i live in Arizona and know how hot it gets....why would you want to camp in the desert when its this hot? Get to Tucson and hopefully youll get your slide repaired then head someplace cool
Love your positive attitude in the midst of life's challenges. When Craig was loading laundry in the back seat I noticed a protective cover for the door panel (interior) area. We've got dogs that ride in the back and we need something to keep them from scratching the door panel and handle. Where did you find those? Thank you.
Couldn't you leave the tailgate open so you could get the max amount of water in there? Or would it just jelly-blob outta the bed when you were leaving? 😂
We use the app called iOverlander! There’s a filter for water and it’ll show you various water fill up places, just read the reviews for recent info on them!
It’s 60 gallons, the time it takes to fill all depends on how good the water pressure is, but usually less than 5 mins with good pressure. We use a battery power water transfer pump and use the gravity fill hole in the side of our rig to pump the water in! This is the bladder we have: amzn.to/3q77Hdl

Yes and no, my diet is a super low-carb diet, so a cheat meal just helps give some extra carbs to start the week off strong and with some extra energy. energy.
Our Starlink dish blew off our picnic table, after I asked my husband, "Are you sure that it won't blow over up there?" He said it was heavy enough not to blow off. But along came a gust of wind....and, yep. It blew off and dinged up the front of it. LOL. If you know someone that can solder, electronic parts, you could probably have it fixed. But it looks like it's pretty much a goner. So sorry.
There are attachments you can buy for the grill.
my trick for the Blackstone is get a adjustable regulator and a MENSI 1/4" Quick Connect Propane Disconnect Universal Adapter Kit Convert Regulator with 3/8" Female Flare

Comments like this truly make our day!! Thank you so much and thank you for joining us on our adventures! 😁
You guys are always laughing. Even when things are not going good. It’s good to see. Also you are way braver than I am to go to Mexico.
How funny you have a Aussie named Maverick we also have a Aussie named Maverick and we travel in our fifth wheel and we are headed to Joshua tree ca.
I like Craig’s honesty about things.. like the grill.

Our laundry bags are IKEA bags. They’ve been big enough to hold everything
Nice!! We need to check them out.
Amazon has a wind guard with a rack for the Blackstone. Works great!
Nice!! I'll have to try them out!
Watching you push that slide in is amazing. You are one good guy
That slide has been a pain for so long.

Dollar Tree has SS Scrapers for $1.25 ea… they fit on the griddle edge, hangs down blocking the wind…. They are about 6” long, so I have about 6 of them… only use on the wind side or sides…. These work perfectly for our Blackstone
I 100% don't regret my composting toilet but it's just me. I still think it would be fine for 2 but more than that would be challenging.
RIP Starlink Dish. You where a trooper!

Yeah we might just need to place it more strategically 😆
Cut some strips of sheet metal and pop rivet them to the lid to cover the gaps.

Thank you so much!! Such a great compliment, thank you for watching!
Great video guys! We use tin foil and magnets to hold it in place to block the wind while using the same model Blackstone. Try that! It’s helps a lot
Nice, great idea!

We loved Joshua Tree, such an amazing place.
I installed the Natures Head composting toilet about 1 1/2 years ago and have not regretted it.

Blackstone does sell parts to cover the sides to fix the wind problem.
Ahhh someone told us about those, we definitely need to order them on Amazon. Though I wish it would have come with it! 😆

Thats what I use an it works great when we are camping. An its seems the wind doesn't pick up until I get ready to cook lol.
Forget the composting toilet, get the Cinderella incinerating toilet! 17:30
Agree....we have Ecojohn and works very well.
As far as laundry goes, we put all of ours in a big storage bin. It holds more than a laundry basket and the easiest way I've found
