While listening to your review, i remembered the term of Louis Althusser's "the ideological means of the state" . Another concept that I also thought in the sense of oppressor and oppressed is Hegel's "Lord-bondsman dialectic" Thanks for review.
Thanks for the theoretical connections! I don't get around to much philosophy; and also he did not have any sources in the book, come to think of it, to connect to these historical concepts.
