This episode proves Larry's incompetence in a couple of areas. For one thing, he knows nothing about plumbing. You don't use a hammer in plumbing! Larry is also really bad at giving directions. He should never have said, "When I nod my head, you hit it."
You CAN use a hammer for plumbing, but you should strike the wrench right at the tip of the handle (to give maximum turning action) and with only a small amount of force until the thing you are trying to unscrew becomes loose enough to proceed manually. Mind you, this is still my favourite Perfect Strangers sketch! 🤣
