Fantastic episode Houman, it was wonderful to see Mark after listening to a year of his podcasts, it was also wonderful to see some of his outstanding work, keep up the great work mate, and cheers from Brisbane 🙋♂️☕️📸🍻
Such an awesome guy and absolutely outstanding photos, ive been following for a couple years or so and i actually only just bumped into him during this week whilst i was sellling one of my magazines and he approached me, was a good chat. He is definitely underrated that's for sure. I love his comment on ruining film, the dedication you would need to continue to try and replicate those ideas on film is definitely a proof of passion. With digital its easy, u can see what needs to be changed for the next shot and what u did wrong and u get multiple attempts, but film is limited.
Bro maybe you can considering to showcasting more of the photographer works during the conversation, it would be more interesting! New subscibers here, respect 🤝
Hey Matthew, I just felt there was a lot more energy and less angst back then. City feels a bit lethargic and run down now. Not as optimistic. But I dunno, might just be me. Hopefully we can regain some of that energy when the city construction is finished
Melbourne gang-graffiti looks the same as New York’s, lol. Insightful conversation, but I grew up with film (in my 60s) and although I would never go back to film, I think serious photographers should learn film in order to understand the context that the greats were working with.
Great to hear from MarkyMark here! As always more inspiring insights. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Forever expanding the repertoire!!
Thank you Benny! 🙏
Cheers Ben thanks for watching ☺️🙏🏽 really enjoyed chatting with Mark
Listening to his podcasts with John St , catching up with some past interviews, has been great nice to see him being interviewed.

I’m so glad you two got to meet. You’re spot on about your comments as well. Really well said.

That feeling when a 59 year old hears a 40 year old say that he’s old now!! 😏😂
😆😆
Great chat gents ❤

I'm curious what the difference in the vibe is, between Melbourne circa 2008/2009 and now

Great point Ben thanks for sharing and tuning in the conversation
I thought it was my connection but any other video was fine. But this one just keeps locking up and just can’t watch it. Very strange!
So sorry to hear this. Hope it got resolved 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
