    I've litterally got a set drying on my work bench. Great kit and your tutorial really made them a joy to assemble.

    P- I just built my first one using your kit! It went together without a hitch. Now I need two more Russ’s !
    Thanks a bunch. Great stuff!

    These are really nice looking bits of kit! and wonderfully clear instructions.
    Building an Imperial Guard tank company with a lot of super-detailing and weathering has always been one of those projects I kept wanting to do, but put off for something else.
    I'm going to bookmark this, if I finally push myself to get on with that project, I think I'll be having to put in an order ;)

      Thanks so much. It's always good to hear feedback :) It's definitely a project I recommend, it's really satisfying to build and paint up tanks and they look fantastic on the tabletop.

      They went live a few minutes after the video. The first batch has already sold out but there's a few miscast ones remaining (which really aren't that bad), or you can put a pre-order in for the next batch I'll be doing. You can get them from here: beyondthetabletop.com/product/internal-sponsons

      Keep up the good work!

    I just ordered my set! Excited to get to work on it. Do these components need to be washed in soapy water when they arrive?

    • @Beyondthetabletop
      @Beyondthetabletop  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for ordering. To be on the safe side yes, it's always worth washing resin just to remove any mould release that might still be on the kit.

    Very Nice! Any idea if this works with the new Rogal Dorn Tank? If not, will there ever be an internal sponsons conversion kit for it or no?

    • @Beyondthetabletop
      @Beyondthetabletop  Год назад

      Hi there, I've managed to get my hands on the Dorn kit, I'm hoping to work on this over the next few weeks. It might be the existing kit is already the right size, but I need to measure it up and test it out. If not I'll work on a new kit which will be compatible.

    Does this version not have a cover like the prototype for occasions when you don’t want to use the sponsons?

    • @Beyondthetabletop
      @Beyondthetabletop  5 лет назад +2

      Not yet. I'll be working on that as the next project as I need to perfect how it can easily be added and removed.

    does this work with the older 1994 russ kits?

    • @Beyondthetabletop
      @Beyondthetabletop  4 года назад +2

      Yes, this shouldn't be a problem. You might want to make the required cut-out before adding on those side hatches to the track unit, or adjust the placement of the hole it to better suit that track design but they should be fairly similar so I can't see any issues.

    I'm thinking magnets would be the best way to assemble and then paint.

      Magnetizing the actual rotating portion not just the weapon.

      Yep, you can buy them from: beyondthetabletop.com/product/internal-sponsons . I think i'm currently out of stock but you can do a back order. It'll take me a week or so to cast them up and ship them out.

      @@jonathanbellew4297 If you got them new from Forgeworld then they'll come with the Sponsons frame. You basically get the full GW kit + all the resin Mars Alpha parts. They're such a great kit. I've got a few lying around I need to build and add my sponsons to so I can have a full squad of them.

    20$ a set seems a bit high.

    • @Beyondthetabletop
      @Beyondthetabletop  2 года назад +1

      I appreciate it will be high for some people, like all products it factors in the cost it took me to develop and design, the material cost in moulds, resin and the time it takes me to hand cast the items (these aren't 3D prints), along with all the additional material costs such as a pressure pot which reduces the amount of air bubbles in the product, then on top of that we have things like electricity/heating and a salary for myself. I am a one-man shop, not some vast company like Forgeworld, imagine how much this kit would cost from them?
      Feel free to read all the reviews which talk about the quality of the design, the casts and the resin I use. These all factor into the cost.
      Lastly, for people which do want cheaper kits, I sell miscast items at a reduced rate which have fixable defects/air-bubbles. These only appear on the store when I have them available, and for this kit it's sold at 65% of the original price, so quite the discount. In addition to that if you were a supporter on Patreon you can get an extra 10% off from that too. I sometimes also do sales during the year too, so there's definitely plenty of ways to buy the kit cheaper from me while still supporting the work that I do an an independent creator.
      If you're interested in those cheaper kits I suggest you sign up to my newsletter where I'll post about the miscast items when they go on sale: beyondthetabletop.com/subscribe
