An innocent driver has been killed after his car was crushed by a stolen truck in a crash tragedy that has left a top road cop sick to his stomach.
The collision unfolded in Footscray almost two hours after police were first called to intercept. Twice, officers tried to use stop sticks before the getaway came to a deadly end.
