I always liked Violet Berlin. She gave off friend-of-your-sister-who-is-nicer-to-you-than-your-actual-family vibes Very specific but I can only calls it how I sees it
I watched your Gamesmaster video the other day and thoroughly enjoyed. Keep at it - you've got something. You just need one video to take off and you'll have it made. I appreciate your editing and humour. I'm sure you've got an audience out there waiting for you.
Did I need to watch over 5 hours of s1 and 2 of Bad Influence replay and commentary? No. Did I and will I watch s3 also? Yes. Your channel hits my nostalgia perfectly. Subbed!
A very long time ago i went to the Odeon in Leicester Square to watch some Japanese cartoon movies, Violet Berlin sat next to me, oe someone who looked very much like her sat next to me. I tried to use my peripheral vision to confirm this, but it got a bit dark. Anyway, i was a bit scared and a bit overwhelmed by the experience. I pretended to enjoy the films, dont really know why i went, but am happy to have the memory to share with you now. Great video, thankyou!
it's kinda wild that they were only about ten years out predicting the roomba..... i actually laughed at him as well when he said it thinking "yeah mate, not by the early naughties" then i thought about it and was like.... "ok, but we do have that now...." and had a terrifying moment of realising that i have travelled into the literal sci fi future by the expedient of living through the intervening years.... and now i feel very very fucking old. your content is ace, please keep doing these, im half an hourish from the end of this one after having watched your GamesMaster retrospectives and S1 of Bad Influence retrospective
I would happily listen to your sarcastic take as you narrated anything. You're like a funnier, wittier, and far more palatable version of that guy wot does Come Dine with Me. I'm not sure whether that's a compliment.
I share your love of SNES Lawnmower Man. Never before or since has there been such a wide range between the enjoyment I expected from a game and the enjoyment I got.
Weird to think review child is probably a mortgage adviser with 3 kids now. Oh how cruel the sands of time. Also Andy Crane staring at Violet like we all were. Poor Violet.
2:13:43 This compelled me to comment. A fabulous piece of nostalgia within a fabulous piece of nostalgia. Thank you for taking the time to put this all together.
I had a feeling after watching your video on the first series that it was going to be one of those cases where after a few of the individual episodes you where really gonna hit your stride. Mate this is bloody hilarious. I originally only clicked on the videos because I used to watch this show as a kid but I wasn't expecting this style of commentary and editing. I thought at the end of your .series one compilation you were gonna pull an M.Night Shyamalan and reveal that you were one of the kid reviewers. Top content mate, top content 👍
"Roses are red, here's some advice, this is the dinosaur input device" Beautiful. Makes up for getting the BBFC ratings of both Terminator 2 and Die Hard 2 wrong...they were both cert 15
Just got to the Virtual Worlds episode: the VR networked experience did indeed come to London. I played Mechwarrior in a cabin linked to seven other capsules in the Trocadero Centre in 1995!
Another amazing video, so much fun to relive all this stuff with great humour :D Not quite as good as Sonic Spinball, but that's a height few of us can ever hope to reach.
Heh, Noel Edmunds. Classic. When Adam (or whatever he's called) broke his brainwashing, and was finally unleashed, it really did mess everyone else up. He's such a Bad... Influence... 😏
I love that they must have coached the kids to only use 2 - 4 for the scores. Taking a scoring system that only had 5 options and reducing it down to 3 😂
I mean, your job as a kid, at least in the 90's, was to find a way to watch every violent R/18 rated movie. Most of the time that happened on a really bad VHS copy of a copy of a copy filmed with a really bad handheld camcorder in a loud theater. But still, it was our job and we took it seriously
I really enjoyed this video, it's one of the best things on RUclips but it's very similar to the first one, they haven't really done anything different. 4 Stars.
1:27:20 - Fun Fact - There are is a treasure trove of REALLY REALLY RUDE cheats for that game, stuff that they would get in genuinely serious trouble for if they aired. For example "I can't be arsed to play with the first levels" - Skips to level 3. "Salmon Rushdie Plays Alien Breed" - Invisible Player, "I eat pitbulls for f**king Breakfast mate" - 7 lives.....you get the idea, google the code nam put out and you'll see the rest, lots of f-bombs, rude jokes and even a jibe at Ben Johnson in there.
I remember this show as a kid, I wasn’t aware phat was even a word back then, I used to think it mean Wad, like a big “wad” of cash. So if he said Phat games I thought it meant he had shit loads of em, lol life was simpler back then, so was I 🤪
lol.... they predicted the Zoomba but missed the social devastation that was going to be wraught by that management side the footy game had, the amount of my Lassy mates who have described themselves as ChampMan widows over the years is unreal🤣 ecellent use of the Day Today
3:02:01 Andy Crane wasn't wrong about having robots in your home to clean up for you in 10 years, the first Roomba came out in 2002, only 8 years after this episode.
This is an excellent video, with great graphics and sound. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to get to grips with. This is an excellent video, with great graphics and sound. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to get to grips with.
'Kin 'ell. As somebody who grew up and lived in Walsall for a good chunk of their life I can say with confidence that Violet was fortunate to get out that poo town unscathed. They should have focused the lasers at the town centre and reduced it to ashes... And the Arbo lights were shit after they got rid of the dinosaurs.
Fun Fact - The Dinosaur animation they showed was actually a clip from a go-motion animation, created by the Legend that is Phil Tippett, called Prehistoric Beast. Worth a watch. Also 😉, I'm loving these vids mate, the nostagia is STRONG!
Nam Rood, aka Andy Wear, was in The Royal for ages aa Alun Morris. Namrood, on the other hand, was an emperor of Babylon in the Quran. The latter would have made for a more interesting tips section
I am genuinely curious, has there ever been a documented case of a pirated cartridge blowing up a system or itself? I also remember there being a huge propaganda scare that cartridge converters would destroy the pins inside your console but haven't seen any evidence of that either
1. I don't recall the French being considered a different race in the 90s? 2. The Scotts impersonation is less offensive than Groundskeeper Willie. 3. Terminator 2 was rated 15 in the UK not 18.
I suspect they just use old repeated clips of anti violence kid. You caught out an exact repeat in one episode and he regularly uses completely the wrong genre, i dont believe he was actually describing Cyberpunks at all. If theres one thing these kids see enough of to be able to identify, it's platform games 😂
The reason why certain games (Sonic Spinball et al) get such good scores is because they were given away as prizes in that same episode. Sneaky. Which means that Adam gave Jurassic Park a good score against his will. Probably.
2:25:00: You really don't want to play with CNC music factory. They are absolutely diabolical. Sega deserved to go bust for shovelling that dross on unsuspecting kids. £40 of my pocket money wasted on the Kriss Kross one, only to be offered £3 trade in the next week - they were tha bad.
I'm meant to be taking my 5 year old daughter to her mates birthday party.... she can wait whil I watch this. One Sunday morning. Hiding on the toilet....(ooh 3rd like #inb4ianlee) edit- 3 hours? I'll watch 5 more mins....
Funnily enough Jarre in Manchester was my first concert! (Still have the ticket). Andy really dropped the ball with MPEG - it stands for Moving Picture Experts Group. Unforgivable error.
57:36 No joke but i actually guessed Cool Spot… no idea how I got that, perhaps some forgotten memories locked deep inside my subconscious just waiting to be let out. Amazing.
Andy was about to murder that football player for going off script and saying “actually it’s quite time consuming”, before then saying his scripted line “it can be quite enjoyable if you have an afternoon to yourself” This show was really about selling games by swindling kids into spending their parents cash. They didn’t need to give the good games high scores. Those games already had high sales. It was all the duds and uninspired crud that needed selling. When I was a kid, it was basically a lottery if you bought or rented a game, of course unless you knew it already.. these shows were all there was really, and magazines.. and in Australia i never remember seeing them at all.
Nam Rood, what you get when you tell your parents you want Adrian Edmondson for Christmas and they tell you that you've already got one at home.
You know, Gillian from classic The Not Olds, or Iggy from offbeat comedy Arse.
47:21 - in the background, shit haircut and an England shell suit; that’ll be me 😂
Hiya! This video is really phat. I like the graphics and it was really fun to watch. I would recommend this to everyone. 3 stars.
It’s cred.
Jurassic!
Not Jurassic , completely Triassic
Only 3 stars? In the scoring system of Bad Influence that means decidedly average 😂
@@SiStockbridge Typical of the kids on there to praise something and only give it 3 stars though!
Sounds like a northern version of Jeremy from Peep Show narrating my childhood. And I’m all for it.
I always liked Violet Berlin. She gave off friend-of-your-sister-who-is-nicer-to-you-than-your-actual-family vibes
Very specific but I can only calls it how I sees it
Yeah can't deny, she is great. I looked up her Wikipedia and was very happy to read she's had a really good successful life and still going.
I watched your Gamesmaster video the other day and thoroughly enjoyed. Keep at it - you've got something. You just need one video to take off and you'll have it made. I appreciate your editing and humour. I'm sure you've got an audience out there waiting for you.

I don't know why the algorithm decided I need to see this but it's now my favourite channel
Ratings for SHINOBI 3:
Boys: ⭐⭐⭐
Girls: ⭐⭐
F U ( K I N H E L L
Agreed
Almost as bad as 3 stars for links awakening
Shinobi 3 is one of my favourite games lol. Fucking abhorrent scores

I had rise of the robots and I clearly remember being fucked off that I'd bought a barley working piece of shit
And the Placebo refrence.
This is why i love this channel
This man truly is the Charlie Brooker of shitty UK gaming shows from the 90s
I would happily listen to your sarcastic take as you narrated anything. You're like a funnier, wittier, and far more palatable version of that guy wot does Come Dine with Me. I'm not sure whether that's a compliment.
He's just like that bloke off the telly!
I share your love of SNES Lawnmower Man. Never before or since has there been such a wide range between the enjoyment I expected from a game and the enjoyment I got.
@@gateroozeink5061 we are Lawnmower Bros.
Weird to think review child is probably a mortgage adviser with 3 kids now. Oh how cruel the sands of time. Also Andy Crane staring at Violet like we all were. Poor Violet.
Andy looks at Violet in the same way that my dog looks at his knackers.
Andy was responsible for Violet being contractually obliged to wear skin-tight clothes in every episode.
Who the F gave this a thumbs down? Come on! Own up!...Nobody? Bah, you're opinion doesn't matter anyway. This is deep fried gold.

I lusted after violet all through my teenage years, that lisp was the icing on the cake
I was never really into her when I was a kid, but looking at her here, I'd knock her back door in.
its like getting a constant stream of hawk tuah's... imagine that.
Who the buggering Christ was pirating Olympic Gold on the Megadrive?? My whole family's still using them as coasters in 2024.
Three stars ⭐⭐⭐
This is as phat as the last video was Jurassic, already excited for series 3
"Roses are red, here's some advice, this is the dinosaur input device"
Beautiful. Makes up for getting the BBFC ratings of both Terminator 2 and Die Hard 2 wrong...they were both cert 15
ITV: Don't get Alladin.
BBC: Get a lad in.
I really loved bad influence. The amateur feel really appealed to me.
Just got to the Virtual Worlds episode: the VR networked experience did indeed come to London. I played Mechwarrior in a cabin linked to seven other capsules in the Trocadero Centre in 1995!
Oh look, Violet from Micro Machines 2
If I remember right, my sister changed Violets name on that to 'Bint' 😂😂😂
Great video my man. Never expected to see Foodfight at 2:49:19 !
Jontron does a hilarious video about it.
25:48, hearing the phrase "mystic runes" in a northern accent is magical. First Samurai on the Amiga was decent enough.
rosetintedspectrum is anti violence kid!
When I was a teenage boy, I used to think about Violet Berlin every day. Some days I thought about her twice.
i would be so here for a similar deep dive retrospective on Bodger and Badger
Another amazing video, so much fun to relive all this stuff with great humour :D
Not quite as good as Sonic Spinball, but that's a height few of us can ever hope to reach.
38:21 I wasn't ready for poetry lmao
anti-violence kid's permanent turbosmirk is bothering me
I bet he gets thumped a lot. 😅
Heh, Noel Edmunds. Classic.
When Adam (or whatever he's called) broke his brainwashing, and was finally unleashed, it really did mess everyone else up. He's such a Bad... Influence... 😏
Oh, Christina is back. To the Corner of Shame I go!
RAAAA MORE BAD INFLUENCE
This gives me raging 90s nostalgia, despite not watching this show as a kid. The whole world had a different vibe back then
I love that they must have coached the kids to only use 2 - 4 for the scores. Taking a scoring system that only had 5 options and reducing it down to 3 😂
This was great! Remote control watch interrupting Through the Dragon's Eye was a deep cut.

"you looked fab before they *furtled* with you"
Do we know what furtled means now? -Fkd 😂
Mate I love these videos hahahaha creasing me haha
56:20 To be fair they did end up setting up shop in London Trocadero.
I had a black and white striped Georgio top from C&A around that time so yeah the American referee look was very much in.
Violet was in many a spotty teenagers W@nk bank.
The big chin does it for you, the lisp is a bonus.

Love this video. But terminator 2 was actually a 15 certificate in the uk. 😉
Kids watched all sorts back then. My dad took me to see Mortal Kombat in the cinema and I was only 10! Nobody cared back then 🤣
For some reason I own copies of Kether and Microcosm. I have never owned the systems.

I’m struggling to connect (or even find) a VHS recorder to RUclips in order to record the data blast. Andy I need you!
Bodger and Badger - hated that show and Bodger was a terrible ventriloquist. Whole idea is shouldn't see the lips move.
This is an excellent video, with great graphics and sound. Unfortunately, it's a little hard to get to grips with.

Pretty sure I saw "Fluffer manager" on the ep1 credits written by Andy on the PenPal and I desperately want to believe that wasn't a typo

1:14 are we going to talk about the massive fucking spoiler Goth Girls section on Links Awakening was?! Showing the last dungeons boss is wild.

I'm forever watching...
AVP on the jaguar was awesome. Very atmospheric.
Hiya! Your commentary is funny AF. 👍
Am I the only one who expects Nam to follow the word, "Scrotty", with the word, "Bollocks"?
37:56 made me say “Nope!” Out loud.
Those guys were Pterosaurs. Different flavour of animal to dinosaurs.
This is the must watch thing this Sunday
Good old gore code for mk. Can remember it still lol
Nam Rood looking like Sinead O Connor more and more.

3. Terminator 2 was rated 15 in the UK not 18.
Dixons offer of 35 pounds for an Atari Lynx wasn't the best, I got mine from Special Reserve for 29.99! Amazing deal at the time.
Why is Tom Cruise?
Great question.😂

That girl going hard after jurassic is the real star of the show
Not to nitpick, but both T2 and Die Hard 2 were rated 15 in the UK.
Andy has just doxxed ITV studios with that talking thing.
RIP Des.
Love this Chanel terminator 2 was a 15 though 😜

VORTEXES??? THE PLURAL IS VORTICES!
I bought a CD32 when it was new.
Worst controller ever. If it wasn't for Jetstrike, it would have been worthless
We were ugly ass kids in the 90s. Thank God we grew up into to more attractive adults later on.
There should be a BAFTA category for this. Would win it hands down
Omg gunstar heroes 4 bloody stars, ME 5 STARS! 😂
Episode 6 - That was NOT PONG, it was space invaders. Did you make a mistake orits one of the 1000s of badInfluence staff?
I'm meant to be taking my 5 year old daughter to her mates birthday party.... she can wait whil I watch this. One Sunday morning. Hiding on the toilet....(ooh 3rd like #inb4ianlee) edit- 3 hours? I'll watch 5 more mins....

Some of the music on this show reminds me of the music in that strip club in Total Recall (Arnie version)
I fuckin Love Bodger and Badger 😂😂😂
Mashed potatoes! 😂
