TORRAS 360-Spin Case for S25 Ultra: amzn.to/4apYBM0
Bluetooth on the S-Pen has been useful to me and my family. We have kids and our 5 year old had special needs. When I take pictures with her or we take family pictures and there's no one else around to take the picture for us using the S-Pen as a shutter is really helpful. I use it to take multiple pictures Neenah is hard to get our 5 year old to stay in position. So taking pictures using the spen shutter helps us take a bunch to secure one good picture.
I use mine the exact same way. Showing your palm and starting a countdown simply isn't good enough to replace using the S-Pen bluetooth features.
I do use the Bluetooth functionalities of the Spen. It's great for blogging using a gimbal or a normal smartphone holder because you can stretch your arms as much as you can and still be able to switch from the selfie to the rear camera while recording without needing to touch the screen. Also, taking a selfie with your palm takes few seconds all the time because of the counter. It's instant much faster with the Spen especially if you want to take few not just one. The removal was unnecessary and sad.
When I tested this phone the selfie camera , speakers and performance blew me away compared to my s23 ultra . It's a good improvement
Im an s24 ultra user and was on the fence of upgrading due to minimal upgrades but decided to place an order. What tilted my decision, I had 512gb and was running out of space and wanted to go 1TB so I won't have to delete files from phone. Also, snap dragon 8 elite, better battery life, crispier display, slightly improved camera with better macro and wide angle is a bonus. Also got the watch ultra for almost $400 off with samsung credit! I remember watching your RUclips way back when u were just getting started and you even replied to one of my unboxing videos... it's nice to see you have now over 120k subscribers, congrats! Now I wonder if u still have time to read each comment and reply haha
Hey! It's going to be a good upgrade, believe me. Sometimes you don't need drastic insane improvements to be happy. It's the little things that matter. The snapdragon 8 elite + bigger vapor chamber + more efficient display will result in more battery life and the new ISP makes the photos look better. I've been having a blast using it:)
Oh and, I replied ;) hahaha
@MarksTech thanks for the reply! I totally agree with you it's the little changes makes a world of difference. Phones are so good now it's the refinement just makes everyday use just much nicer. Glad u mentioned the lighter weight and round edges on the phone, I love the look way more than the box design it just makes it look way more sleek! Did Samsung invite you to samsung unpacked this year?
@ShowtimeBruins yep!! It was my first time at unpacked. Incredible experience. I wish I didn't have to rush it though:( lol I wanted to stay an extra day but then I would miss my cruise lol
Agree with you 100%. What Samsung gives you on the trade-in is unbelievable got a new phone more storage Snapdragon 8 elite all for under 400.00 plus a ton of Samsung store credit to buy all kinds of other goodies the deal was just too good to pass up. Of course this is just me I totally get people not wanting to upgrade.
@ink281 yea for sure. I watched all RUclips reviews and all said s24 ultra users shouldn't upgrade but since I like to have the latest and greatest it was worth it with all the free credit and super cheap ultra watch. If I just wanted to switch from s24u to s25u with no credit, I agree it's not worth the upgrade. But each their own, s24u still a great phone so I understand most should just keep it!
I never used the Bluetooth on my s23 ultra . To take pics i used my watch which is even better . Who doesnt have a smart watch nowadays? People just like to complain
Facts. Double-pinch on the watch's camera control does the same thing.
Who wouldn't like another way to take a photo? Plus not just that but to play a video or to select music track, pause, skip track etc.
@@mqproductionsHow can you do that though if you're holding your phone in your hand?
@Buzza235 If you don't like it and it bothers you that much, then get something else. Every commodity has its buyer.
@@Buzza235 you can literally use your watch for that too. Why making it a big deal ? Plus you have the option to buy whatever you want. So, if you don't like it, just don't buy it
The S24 ultra is still the KING 🫅 of the Samsung Kingdom.
Phones are peaking, and the companies know it, which is why they are pushing artificial intelligence.
Something that some people still don't understand and are still hoping for new features so they end up complaining.
Not really... There's still enough innovation to be made. Especially in the camera and battery departments...
@johnnada1917 Yeah, but that's about it for now.
As always great video and great points made. For me I'll quit Samsung the day they remove the s-pen. Hopefully the BT removal is not the sign of worse things to come for the s-pen. BT functionality is a must on the S26U.
I purchased one torras case for my s25 ultra thanks to your initial review before the traveling
I can’t wait to get rid of my iPhone and go back to Samsung. I will say if I had gotten the S24 instead of the iPhone 15 then I’d most likely not be upgrading to the S25 Ultra.
This S25 ultra is awesome, just love this.
8:49 nailed it, this phone is for us S22 Ultra users, making noise are those who think everyone upgrades phones yearly.
Thanks for sharing. Just bought the S25 Ultra. Upgraded from S23 Ultra
Enjoy it!:)
Have used the BT on pen for a few photos but usually I just set the timer and rolled on. But I've loved my 24 ultra and still on fence about getting rid of it because I love it and it's never let me down
For me, the hard straight sides of S25U make it more uncomfortable for me now as compared to S24U
The S24 ultra is slightly more exclusive: it is heavier and seems stronger than the s25 ultra, the sharp corners distinguish it from all the others at first glance, and no one mentions the rounded edges that make the phone sit much more comfortably in the hand than the s25 ultra.
The Samsung S24 Ultra looks more premium while the s25 ultra looks like a big screen A series
Awesome video seems like a nice upgrade but I'm inwaiting on the fold 7 to compare
I rarely used the S-pen bluetooth and will be updating to the S25 ultra for $480 (including Samsung care + for 2 years)
One downside of the anti-glare display is you can't just use any tempered glass screen protector or you'll render it useless. Samsung online store sold a few anti-glare screen protectors, but it's already sold out in my country
If you put on protection and look at every scratch, then it's better not to use flagsgip...
I'm upgrading from s22 ultra and I really don't use the s-pen much. Mine has shipped ALREADY!! YAHOO!!
Yes, the Bluetooth S Pen was a fantastic feature for taking group shots when no other options were available, including palm gestures. It also served as a convenient tool for changing slides or photos during presentations. The S Pen should be upgraded, not downgraded.
As for the Harry Potter moves, as you mentioned, they were of no use to me-I never used them.
Is the lighter weight noticeable? I've always wanted to get one of the Ultras and I always settled for the s24 plus instead but I'm hoping that with a lighter case I can get it even lighter than my s24+ that is 240grams with case.
Believe me when I tell you this, the weight is VERY MUCH noticeable! I highly recommend checking it out for yourself at your local electronics store
It is. I compared both phones at a Samsung store and was surprised that 15 grams is very noticeable.
@@MarksTech actually you know what's interesting, my Galaxy s24 Plus with the case that I have on it now is 240 g. If I go with the ultra and I get a case that's about 20 g I could actually make it way less. What's really annoying about the Verizon store and Best buy is that they have a giant claw on the phone and it's bolted to the table so you can't even lift it up and hold it.
I have a 1 yr old and a 3 yr old, so being able to sit the phone up, hold both of my sons and use the button on the S-Pen to take multiple shots, simply isn't replaceable by showing my hand and starting a countdown. I could also use the S-Pen to toggle thru the different camera and video modes, without ever having to touch my phone. That feature was very useful in those situations.
I held it today, wow it is light
How do you compare it to zf6? Thinking of trading it in for s25 ultra but wanted to know your opinion, given your experience with both.
I traded my zf6! Definitely a no-brainer. You get a much better phone overall. Better display, battery, camera, chip. You're gonna love the s25u
I traded in my zf6 and I 100% regret it. The screen is basically same size. The ultra25 is just a little wider. Heavier. And harder for me to type on.
I miss folding my phone and watching RUclips and eating st the same time >_< also the zf6 was awesome recording stuff using the selfie mode.
Not a professional photographer so the zf6 camera was good enough.
I'll be trading my ultra25 in for the zf7
I did not the spen had bluetooth til i watched ur video😂.
I used the Bluetooth on the spen one time, right when I would get the phone initially. As long as they keep the pen inside the phone, I'll stick with Samsung.
Watching on my pre-ordered S25 ultra. Been rocking with you since the S10 days. I'm upgrading from my S22 ultra and I'm digging the new phone so far. The screen is brighter, feels lighter and has an easier form factor that's more comfortable in my hands.
How is the battery life on the S25 Ultra vs S22 Ultra? Is it much better? I have S22U with Exynos and I hate the battery life lol
I always upgrade every year. Reason being when I first got the S10+, the improvements in just speed alone over last years model makes it worth it. Never used the BT in the pen so don't really care about that. Thanks for the unbiased video as always sir. Cheers.
Personally with the Bluetooth situation is I'd rather have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Plus they could've added features to it instead of removing some features.
I bought an s24 ultra in October of 2024. Love it , won't be upgrading. We will see what the S26 offers next year.
That's awesome! It's always nice to have a phone you love 🙂
Does this phone have the magnet on the back like the iPhone does?
No
You will need the case to utilize the qi2 wireless charging speeds.
@tRiXMaddy thanks. Do you have a link for the case you can share?
I made a video of great Qi2 cases! It's coming soon 🔥
Losing the S Pen Bluetooth on the S25 Ultra before they ditched the microSD card is a real drag, especially since Apple keeps adding a camera button and mute switch to their iPhones. I don't get why Samsung's removing cool features but keeping the price the same. I wish they'd kept the physical buttons, like mute, camera, SD card slot, and S Pen Bluetooth, and improved and added more features.
The trade-in value for the 24 U to 25 U 1T phones is totally bogus. 😔
I have the Z Fold 6 and decided to try the ultra for a few weeks. I received it today and its bad ass. Just not sure its worth the switch from the fold. We shall see.
Another great video Mark just received my S25 ultra today, as for the bluetooth spen I used it a handfull of times as a shutter button I did prefer I could do that but it is certainly not a deal breaker
yes i care its screwed up they removed it. and when are they going to put the IR blaster back on the phone
Great video. Finally a real review not only copy and paste from another video. Really good Mark! I completely agree. For me with Galaxy s23 i feel like a huge upgrade, specially in the camera department.
I use the Bluetooth for camera shutter on the S24U, so it will be missed on the S25U.
YES, I used the S pen for the camera on S24 Ultra. So, I want it back! It's a big letdown what Samsung did!
Received it today and I Love it, upgraded from another fantastic phone the Note 9.
I care. I have always used the bluetooth functions of the s-pen. But even if I didn't, it's disappointing because they should be adding hardware features. Not taking them away. Especially on a phone that costs over $1300.
I used the S-pen shutter control every holiday, party and hiking trip. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR YES many many miss it. NO I did not use it everyday but many days.
I used a note or ultra with spen for 7 years, never used air gestures or remote shutter functions. The piss off is I wanted the spen to improve in functionality with Bluetooth. I.e. add a button that can be programed to use with modes and routines or something with the functionality of the new iPhone button, easier volume/zoom control, etc. Definitely wanted dex to support multiple monitors. Instead. No dex improvements and seemingly giving up on spen functionality to make more profit. Do better samsung. I'll wait for silicone carbie battery before upgrading
People asking for more at 1300 dollars. Then they are going to complain about the price when it goes up
One Plus, Vivo, Xiaomi etc offer far more and for less. Why?
I played with it in BB for about 20 min. A couple things I didn’t like about it, I don’t like that they made the camera rings look huge, but the cameras are the same size as last years cameras. I like the way the phone looks but it feels sort of cheap; maybe because it’s so light. I do like the new rounded corners and flat sides, as well as the anti-reflective display.
I don’t care about the missing Bluetooth features on the pen. If I lost the pen, I probably wouldn’t notice.
I have the s24 ultra and never used the bluetooth feature XD haha. I forgot it was there to be honest haha so I don't really mind it, they certainly had a reason to chose to do that. I agree with you, people should stop complaining about how small the phones change now with each year. People are still in the past with their minds that every year the changes were big. That is just not realistic anymore, now its more about perfecting it each year and changing a design a bit, maybe the curved edges come back at some point or maybe completely different colours or different camera positions.
@ 2:18 “You’re expecting big to be heavy, Where’s the rest of it?” That’s what she said.
WTF... these phones are getting more expensive with less features... The Samsung Note use to have headphones, and headphone jack, sd card expandable harddrive , blue tooth pen, even IR remote capabilities... oh and let's not forget, it came with a charger!
We are all getting screwed!
So are you team samsung or team apple? Great video...
It seems the day to day real time use reviews for this phone are positive. Mine will be here Saturday
You're gonna love it!
The best s25 ultra review I've seen yet
I've never been an upgrade every year type of person, so I don't plan to upgrade my S24+. But if something happens and I need a new phone, I think I'd go for the S25 Ultra. I'll look forward to seeing the next gen of Flip/Fold phones and the S26 line.
This IS THE first reviewer to drop a positive review about this phone.
Mr Who’s the boss also gave a positive review
Whats bad about this phone except the loss of bluetooth on the pen?
@ nothing. It looks like an excellent device. You’ve got S24 Ultra users mad they can’t upgrade already, and then Apple fans piling on for effect.
DEFINITELY used the Bluetooth S Pen for taking pictures on vacations, or just group shots with friends and family. Don't like using my watch to do that.
@kramdens1967 yep, it's really a pity....
The S-pen will forever be a gimmick. It's a functional stylus with usable features. Not necessary. They're fun to have, but the removal of them isn't drastic. The phone is excellent everywhere. Just let it breathe and accept it's fantastic.
Ty
I can see why s24 ultra owners won't upgrade. I usually upgrade every 2 hrs but didn't this time. So I came from the s22 ultra. So it's a great upgrade for me. I got mine the 30th and love it already. I got the s25 ultra 512 gb titanium jet black and it's gorgeous asf lol. And with my credit. I got the buds 3 pro for free with my ore order. So I got a fantastic deal imo. And it's lighter but not too light. It has the perfect weight and feels and looks like a very high quality phone. It's fast asf and of course has the best display in the game as us samsung users already know this.
I feel that! 😎
Just because it isn't a big deal to some doesn't mean it isn't a big deal to others. You might not use the Bluetooth S-Pen function but others do and enjoy using it. I hate the fact that people think it is not a big deal but when Samsung decide to take away a feature that you like then you will complain too. I remember when Samsung removed the SD card slot some people thought it wasn't a big deal. But as the time goes on Samsung start slowly taking away more features and hardware like the headphone jack the charger and other things. Keep allowing these companies to do whatever. You will eventually complain.
Ngl i like a heavier type phone feels premium... Light feels like you brought a knock off temu version lol
I 1000% agree 👍 with you basically you can’t use an iPhone in direct sunlight it overheats or you can’t see the screen. It’s pathetic I hate my phone 📲
But yet I've just had a month in Thailand with temps above 30 and not once did the phone over heat and I never once struggled to see the screen. Wonder why? My phone is now full of videos and pictures from there. First few days phone out using maps to get around in direct sunlight, again no problem.
Whats wild is the S22 Ultra and the S23 Ultra all had the bluetooth SPen
People don't use it. Samsung won't remove something people use
@tomimartins9208 a lot of ppl use it, just not enough to keep them from ditching it. 1% is only 200 thousand people and that's just wasn't enough. A lot higher percentage of ppl used the original built-in gif feature in smart select, but they removed it with update anyway, so 🤷🏿♂️
@@c2g1980 Samsung literally had the data to prove that no one used it. You're full of sh1t.
Here’s my hot take and tell me if I’m cooked or not. Samsung and Apple have convinced their customers that they’re buying Pro/Ultra but when you compare them to the Chinese flagships the iPhone and S series devices are mid at best. Apple or Samsung should not be praised for doing the bare minimum and using AI as a selling point. S25U reminds me of the iPhone 16 Pro, it’s lazy and uninspiring.
Either way, good video. Always enjoy your content.
I noticed that the S25 OLEDs has terrible blue shift when viewing at the slightest angle. The regular S25 is the worst.
YES, I care about Bluetooth!
I'll miss it badly! But it's like my note 8?
I used the bluetooth to scroll pages in Samsung internet, etc.
My S pen as never been out of my s24 ultra so its no big deal for me. S25 ultra coming tomorrow 😊
I'm trading in my s24plus for the s25ultra. I'm gonna buy the spen with Bluetooth separate.
Good choice!
@ I get the phone on the 5th. I was trying to get the Bluetooth spen but Samsung said that was a error. Anyway I'm still happy with my choice
A first class phone, thanks!
Great content. I was gonna get the s25 ultra. But my wife traded in her s21 ultra for the s24 ultra in violet. It looked really nice. So I decided to trade my s23 ultra for the s24 ultra in violet. I'm so glad I did. I use the s pen. I also like the square edges. Looks more professional. The reason why people are pissed off is Samsung really never gave a heads up about taking out the Bluetooth from the pen. And no 16gb of ram, then they say it's qi2 capable, but only if you use a case😮.
No-one literally no-one is talking about the Haptics & speaker quality, S24 Ultra's haptic is so average..
I'm texting this right now from the s25 ultra upgraded from the s24 ultra
How do you like it?!
@MarksTech love it
I just preordered the Titanium Black yesterday. I already have the Pitaka Sunset aramid case ready while waiting for the phone to arrive.
No need to upgrade, s23u still the beast.
Got my today and watching this on the new S25ultra now
Never knew about the pen features...I have a 23 ultra though
I totally don't care Bluetooth on S-Pen. It's not a reason to not but a S25 Ultra for me, since i don't like the S24 Ultra design.
my biggest cons is the no bluetooth spen and the weight of the phone. I actually like the phone to have some heft to it being this light makes it feel a little cheap to me besides that top tier phone
Its still quite heavy at almost 220 grams
Dude you make it like it's brave new it's the same as my S24 ultra
Not the same at all. I don’t think you realize what a new chip and new ISP can do it to a phone. Not to mention, a more efficient display. It’s not a massive upgrade, but it obviously is still an upgrade.
@MarksTech it is...... Can't even tell the upgrades are so small
To each their own lol I notice a good improvement. Especially with battery life and zoom shots
Polishing and optimizing an already great phone is a huge update. Idk why people would rather see specs on a sheet when we know well won't be optimize. As far as I've seen from videos. The performance is obviously better. The pictures are slightly better and the ultra wide and micro are way better (obviously) the video is wayy better now only slightly behind apple which is crazy. The displays is surprisingly better with the upscale thing they took from TVs and tougher scratch resistant. This upgrade is for the user and not for the talker that just says specs. I'm no longer following the trend on dishing this upgrade HOWEVER I still believe people should not buy this phone not because the phone is a bad upgrade but because samsung. This is the second year their main focus is on AI we need to stop this. Selling point of a phone should always be hardware primary software secondary.
What is the caribbeans? Just say the name of the country bro !
We were on a couple islands lol 😅
@ duly noted. Thanks for the vid
i don't care about the missing bluetooth but its painful if it hasn't affected the end user price. Its more beneficial to the manufacturer who saves the few dollars on the bluetooth transmitter but they should have passed the savings down
That would be great, but a Bluetooth transmitter already as-is is very cheap few bucks to us consumers, and obviously for manufacturers, it's even cheaper. It probably costs Samsung less than a dollar for the transmitter.
That's kind of why Samsung has amazing deals when purchasing a phone. The upfront cost is a lot, but when it comes time to trade in, you're saving A LOT of money
Thinking of trading my s24 plus for the s25 ultra
Think hard my friend it's not much of an upgrade but its not wrong to upgrade either.
Heavily disagree this phone is for s22 owners or older. For those it is actually the worst buy ever. Those people do a long time with there phone so when they buy a phone with 3 year old camera hardware the phone will get obsolete and old REALLY fast. If samsung keeps using the same hardware next year it's the bye bye samsung so big chance they will improve hardware. People with old phones that dont upgarde much are better off buying a different brand or wait and see what the s26 will bring.
I dont know why when i touch it, its feels like a 'cheap phone.. but i already pre ordered 1 just because its samsung not a overheat fruit brand😂
I do care a lot about bluetooth. Im using s24U and won't be updating until they bring it back.
Man I wish they would had put pixel 9 pro XL for trade in. Lol
The truth is, compared to the oneplus 13 its to exspensive. This round samsung lost, lets see next year.
No more discussions about Bluetooth and S-Pen 😂. Nothing we can do at this point except for; Dont upgrade, upgrade to a different brand or wait it out for the S26 Ultra to see what Samsung does before you jump ship.
I think I've used the bluetooth portion of my S23 S pen like 2-3 times in 2 years....pretty much literally, so I dubt I'll miss it.
I did like it for group pictures and for selfies
@tonifonseca9178 and that's what I did those 2-3 times
I pre-ordered it for $436
🫡 heck yeah. Sweet price!
I know right it was a great deal from Samsung
Haha the daily brief...ok so calendar...google assistant has done this for what 5 years now? These ai things are total gimmicks man
I don´t care about the bluetooth features
Anti-reflective technology is patented by Samsung
Other than the cjip not a thing changed, oh guess what
S pen Bluetooth gone, which I use every day.
No battery updated
No magnetic charging
No fast wireless charging
Only software updates?
We have to pay 1600 USD f#&$ them.
Shitty update
Timestamp your videos. Thank you.
Samsung rules
You do good videos, but you just can’t help yourself mentioning iPhones all the time
I prefer spigen
Big nothing.
No spen Bluetooth samsung failed
