if i were to explain something about nct's lore the main thing is that its mainly about dreaming and different stages of it. they reference it a lot in their song lyrics (for example the 7th sense is a big one and their early stuff like 127s limitless or another world - bside) or music videos (e.g. without you which seems like a mv about a lover but is in fact about a dream where 3/4 members meet each other). from what i understand in like older stages of their lore they were trying to synchronize dreams... sort of like in the movie 'inception' i think (in the movie they also had to have some sort of impacts that could wake them up and you could kinda see it with sion in the bathtub scene and its referenced in other mvs like nct u's boss for example) - so all of the members could meet together but i kinda lost the plot later. last time sm released anything lore related was during nct 2021 (they usually release lore stuff during full group releases). i think its all very loose in comparison to some other groups that have lore - the dreaming concept is kind of convenient for them because it kinda explains all of their crazy mvs and for example nct u combining different members. i hope some czennie that will come across this video will explain it with more sense and some more knowledge but i wanted to say what i know! and i think every unit has a bit of their own lore... i remember that wayv had distinct lore especially in their first MVs, 127 with fact check had this whole deities of seoul lore (but idk if it was just for this comeback tho) and now nct wish has also something going on - for sure i can tell its still connected to dreams (i have some theories but i dont wanna ramble). Just an overview of this unit, this unit used to have 7 members but Jungmin, one of their main vocalists, had to withdraw his debut due to health reasons. There's actually a version of Hands Up with the 7 of them😢. I don't know if you are aware that they were formed through a survival show called NCT Universe Lastart. Currently, they have 1 main vocalist and the rest are lead vocals and sub vocals. They are all talented and great performers!
I know they haven't (officially) debuted yet but I've watched 2 guides about them that helped me learn more about them and I want to share it with you, Sarah, whether you want to react to them or not.
