Good morning campers ! Thank you Al & Gina for bringing back memories ! When my wife and I were first married (over 55 years ago) we did a lot of tent camping in southern Cal. NO SNOW there . She passed this last july, but I am fine and living with my daughter and grandson now. Agan thanks for the memories, god bless you Al , Gina and Olivia !!!
So sorry for your loss, David. Glad you're with family... 🙏
Sorry to hear about your wife. Sounds like you have some great memories
@@samvalentine3206 Thank you Sam !
@@LumnahAcres Thank you , Al, Gina and Olivia. Yes I still have all the memories !!
Thanks AL and Gina,,,and Sam for the memories.
Great video, thank you Al and Gina!! You truly are a power couple!
My family and I are true fans of winter camping, we own a UP 5 tent model from RBM outdoors. I highly recommend, nice stuff🤩
Good to know about the up 5 tent.
@@LumnahAcres I couldn't stop laughing through the entire video😂 You should definitely review the up 5, it'd be sooo interesting to watch!!
Gina, you crack me up! I remember winter camping, those days should stay in my memories!! Al, you gave Yourselves a lovely experience!
You kids are going to have so much fun on this property. Hot tent camping, pond fishing, four wheeling, swimming and building new out buildings…maybe even a tree house or Cabin by the pond
This was the first time Isaw people praying before having the meal. 🙏🙏 What a great example! I'm Carla from Florianópolis, SC, Brasil
May the Lord bless and protect you and your family
It's so neat that you have enough land to be able to go Glamping on your own property and still feel like you're getting away from it all. Good on you for taking the time to refresh your perspective ;)
Snow makes an excellent pot scrubber. You don't need water that way. I lived in Utah for about 13 years and camped all winter. I've been out when it was -40F at night and got up to -17F in the daytime. Backpacker, back when it was still a good magazine, had a 10th anniversary issue full of lists. The one about "Things I like about Winter camping had "All the bad things have frozen to death" as the first entry. The rest of the list was blank. Deep winter is such a magical time to camp. Because the snow acts as a sound dampener, it is dead quiet. You can hear the snow falling on the tent.
De-glaze the pan with a chopped onion. Sooo good! You left the best part. Love you guys. & Gina, how r u feeling? And what's Olivia up to?
Neat camping trip! Nice break from your home improvements.
You are very brave and trusting, Gina!
What a cool setup to camp in!! And a very beautiful spot to camp in too!!
I was wondering why you put snow in that side pocket on the stove?
What ever happened with the trailer that you fixed into a cabin?
That was fun watching!!
Even with a hot tent I prefer to cook outside. Reduces smoke and humidity inside the tent.
loved it
Great Video!!
5 star Glampers, certainly not roughing it. Amazing what RUclips money can buy, all new gear and they forgot the electric jug and toaster, lol
How will that tent hold up in heavy wind?
Nice Genesis!
Maybe next time put a few cameras around the camp site to see if there are animals that come around, but then it might scare Gina
Sorry, but this 77-year-old found that seriously hard work. After loading the vehicle and erecting the tent, I suspect I would have been tired enough to just sleep in the snow bank. I admit you had almost every thing, including the kitchen sink, so comfort was never out of your grip, but you have to be considerably younger, fitter, and stronger than I am. I think I will now go for a lie down to recover from that activity. However, I am glad the two of you enjoyed the whole event.
Not me
Lol, I agree, I am going to take a nap !
I am 70 and enjoy RV camping very much. I agree at my age setting things up can be tiresome but i pace myself and have a system in place. It is very gratifying once you y have everything setup to sit back and relax with a nice glass of wine.
Me to
That looked like so so much fun!! So glad you did that...hope there will be many more! What an amazing place to have to do great little adventures like that 🙂
Wow that was soooooo AWESOME camping out in a tent. The food looked fantastic as usual and I am sure you two will be taking naps today. The pups and cats are probably wondering where did mom and dad go??? I bet Olivia is wondering how you both did on this adventure too. Thank you for sharing your camp out it was enjoyable for sure. God Bless you all.
I laughed thru this whole video. I couldn't stop laughing thinking about how Gina if not on camera would have so much to say about NOT being camping in the snow.
yea, it's a lot of fun AFTER you wake up in the morning and you haven't been eaten by a bear. Now it's nap time.
Pork chop flavored Al and Gina are brave hearts, who knew? The tent had the most inviting, warm glow and that little woodstove is awesome! Great frosty video guys. I'm glad you had a good time.
Oh, my. The satisfying sound of those eggs hitting the pan made me hungry. Thank you, Al and Gina, for taking us along on your camping trip. God Bless. Love you all! xxoo
I've camped in the wilds for well over a year in total time. A dog is the best alarm system known to man, IMO. All kinds of critters out there. And they show up when you least expect it. AWESOME to have your own camping areas with running water.
G’day 😊 yes! This is an epic video! 👍👏🎉 that was so much fun to watch. What a cool set up you have. Gina was such a good sport to go camping with you 😃
G'day, Agnes! This was a really fun video for sure! A real change from a building theme. Nice set up and glad to see the tent was left for another time! We used to refer this type of camping as "super camping" as most the comforts of home were available. Not like backpacking in and making do with whatever you brought in your backpack. No matter, this looked extremely FUN and I am grateful for the opportunity to share it with Gina and Al!
@@samvalentine3206 G’day Sam 😊 yes! Totally!
That was an awesome camping experience!! Thank you for taking us along on your adventure. It’s been years since I’ve been camping but I would totally do Hot Tent Camping! Looked like a lot of fun. ❤
I am so happy to see you both having fun
Even though you had to "build" the tent, you needed to do a leisurely project 😉 😀
Gina must really love Al to agree to camp in the cold weather 😂😂😂
I love that Gina supports you on your adventures Al! It may not be her exact idea of fun, but I love to see you caring for her and trying to make the experience all it can be.
They only drove a hundred yards from the house, great camping adventures!!!!!
@@jamesadams893 Backyard camping somewhere in those 500 acres of wilderness.
Adventure????? 300 feet back of ur house?????
@@marcopolo5365 whats it matter how far from the house they were? They enjoyed it so who are we to judge and insult them? I enjoyed this video . God loves you. Jesus loves you and died for you. God bless you always.
@James Adams you have to start somewhere. I had some of my best times tent camping in my backyard on a 1/2 acre. If you are novice you don’t go to the extreme your first time. That is if you are smart and I have no doubt that Al and Gina of are very high intelligence and common sense, not so sure about you though. If you can’t find the reasoning behind that. Also the best getaway is a free getaway
Glad to see u 2 enjoying yourselves! Loved it ! ❤
Date Night for Al and Gina, stay warm and sleep tight, and above all enjoy yourselves!
That was a very nice" hot 🔥 tent ⛺️ " adventure! Thanks for sharing you two wild ones! 😊👍💕💕💕
21:12 one can see the circle around the moon? That means snow! And they sure got some... what a lovely spot to camp! It's wonderful to have one's back yard to be such a nice campground! It adds a whole new dimension to the OGP! Thanks Gina and Al for bringing us along! I could almost taste those pork chops... looked super yummy! 👍
Good Morning Sam! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
San this makes the OGP 2.0 !!!

Good afternoon Sam
@@kimberlyshalaby1134 - Hi Kimberly! Thanks... you too!
You guys should take a week off every season for a vacation. I understand RUclips is your job but everyone needs a break from work.
I can just tell Gina is loving every minute of this what with nothing else left to be done on the house and her being ecstatic about being out in all that snow
Very fun to watch the camp set up. The stove was real interesting. Glad y’all had a good time.
Al and Gina are such an awesome team. Just saying my husband and I wouldn’t fare as well. Love you guys. 🤣❤️
Just a suggestion, I would build a towable base platform for tent make quick setup and move wherever you want on property
Hi Al and Gina , How much fun is it then to go camping on Your own land - well done.
Good morning Robert, When my wife lived in Cal. our back yard was only maybe 25X80 feet, and you could spit on your nabor's house they were so close !! When we moved to Maine, we bought a home with 5 acres and only 10 homes on the road !!!!
@@davidgetchell3633 The land that My house sits on is one fifth of an acre so quite a bit smaller than were You are and pocket sized compared to Al and Gina lol.
Good Morning I'm so happy you all took some time for yourselves to do something fun and to rest from working on the tiny home. Hope to see more of you doing more of this on the land .
My wife asked where is Olivia, I answered she is the smart one staying in a warm home😜 I guess we are showing our age. You can use that large tent for a workshop. Keep trying new things!!!
That video reminds me of city folks going out to camp in there back yard. 😂
Happy Saturday Lumnahs! Wishing you all a fun healthy happy weekend! Thanks for the effort you all put into the episodes, Gina, Olivia and Al!

Good morning!!! Looked like so much fun! You thought of everything! Thanks for sharing your hot tent adventure. P.S. Gina I would have listened for every sound as well. We women are programmed that way! Al stayed on top of keeping the fire going. It really surprised me that the temperature got up to 102 D . Great idea to bring cold brew to heat up. Coffee is a morning priority for us too!
part of camping I have always enjoyed was the coffee perking in the aluminum percolator on top of our Coleman stove. The aroma was part of the best part. Along with the bacon sizzling in a skillet.
you guys have the best channel👍
Fun adventure! Gina is a good sport :))
How sweet to have a little time for recreation. Cozy and quiet. You both deserve it. God’s dearest blessings on you!
So cute watching Al! He's so excited to camp out!

P.s. you bought those cots when you were doing the container building.
Now THAT’S a tent!!!! You’re probably not sponsored by the tent company but can you tell us more about it? You can just HEAR how rugged the material is. It touched my heart when Al tells Gina “I’m sorry babe. I tried” when the desert failed.

I think it wasn't a good idea for Gina...better to stay at home right Gina!!!😂😂🤗
Good morning Al and Gina, 🌄🌻 Have a nice camping trip in the snow. Burrrr.
Gooooood Morning Liz. It got pretty warm in the tent 🏕 at one point
Hey there, Liz!
Hmmm! I'm not sure its such a good idea to leave that tent up with nobody around, although it seems to work out for "Up North of 60".
I really enjoyed this it brought back so many memories of our days living in the Northwest Territories in Canada, which i called heaven on earth. Weekends always had either a trip into the woods for a day or a week in the woods with the children. To this day our children love camping and canoe trips and take their children. We now listen to their adventures and prefer our beds .
When my wife, Sylva, first married (56 years ago) we went tent camping for the first and last time. She had the same reactions as Gina during the night. Later we bought a Coleman pop-up camper with a sink, stove, potty, and bed with a mattress. So happy you two had an adventure together and thank you for the memories.
Be careful Al and Gina, when it’s warm and cozy and peaceful like that, sometimes there is a new little bundle of joy to arrive in about nine months! 😂
Olivia is 13 years old; they most likely don't want to start over again with diapers and midnight feedings.
Cots not big enough

Yes, the full moon was perfect. That way when you go pee in the woods, you can see if the bears are circling and licking their lips. hahaha!
Hello Lumnah pioneers. Looks like you enjoyed yourselves. Gina hearing Big Foot and who knows what else out there. Sure didn't take much to heat it. Thanks for sharing
You can tell how much you two love each other by this adventure. Gina because she actually did snow camping with you and Al because he of all the things (cots, stove, electricity...) he brought to make it a really enjoyable experience.
I was so nice meeting you in Augusta, today.
Whatever happened to the container "cabin" you spent so much time building soon after buying the property? I don't recall ever seeing you use it, wasn't it for camping?
Blessings
Jan
Someday you can build a little cabin in the woods for your camping expeditions. Then Gina wouldn't be so scared of noises.😊
Well, that's what I was thinking too. A lot less work ... than hauling all the tent and stove gear, and wood and food, and sleeping bags, etc. They could have a sweet little cabin out there with everything waiting. Just move in for the night or the weekend and BRING THE DOGS for heaven's sake and Olivia.
Those "BARN CATS" could just stay home with a large bowl of dry food and water; and protect the homestead house while everyone else is out playing for the day. Yeah ... that's it!
That would be my idea of camping. A little log house would be great...with a real potty--- inside. LOL.
You need to build a log cabin for one of your projects Gina would love it
Very enjoyable video 😊
Your scenery is beautiful and what a great place to camp. That was too much work for just one night. (for me) i loved camping when I was younger. You guys are great together. Love from NC.
The fun thing was that they left the tent for "next time" so the set-up will still be there for another time... 🙂
@@samvalentine3206 I was wondering if the tent would be okay.
Where is Olivia? I hope she's well. I bet you guys are excited on your camping trip. Go on vacation and never leave the property. God bless.
Gina, you are truly a "ride or die" girl. I admire that you stuck through the camping trip, knowing your warm home was just a few miles away.
The tent was probably hotter than the house. Great video.
glad you are doing this when you're young.... I know you must have taken your "bang-bang' stick. So beautiful !!!! Thanks for sharing and God bless.
Thanks for taking us camping with you guys. This was fun.
Good to see no yogis came to visit
Ahh, going camping with the house 3 minutes away! If you forget anything just run home for it. 😅maybe this summer you can build a wooden floor for it, and bigger tent for the family.
Looks like a good time! We always camped on the river during the summer! Loved it! Thank you for sharing with us!
yes, I would be more of a "summer" camper, than hot-tent snow camp camping. When we used to go "camping" ... we had a nice Chevy van with a queen size bed built in. 6-inch foam to sleep on and it was more comfortable than our bed at home. We went in the summer time and would be water skiing during the day and quaffing down Michelob on the opposite side of the lake from where our camp site was. We called that the "day camp". Now THOSE were the days. We used to bring a pot full of spaghetti sauce for our Friday nite meal. We used the leftover spaghetti for breakfast the next morning with a fried egg on top of the warmed up spaghetti. Delicious let me tell you. I know it sounds weird but, don't miss a chance to try this.
@@sandrasherritt9708 Sounds like lots of fun. We did hike-in camping in a National Park with no tent in the summer of course. We loved it when I was little. Just a sleeping bag and a camp cooking set with a wire rack over the fire. We used the river as our "cooler" with a net around our food weighed down with rocks. We spent the days swimming in the river or walking in the woods. It was great! We'd see herds of elk come by us. We picked wild berries for pancakes in the morning. Fun, fun!
Where is the child they are supposed to be teaching life skills and experiences. Never did things this way in 13 years with youth groups. Adults taught, kids did to get the skills and life experiences. Can't take on a homestead if you don't know how.
