As usual, Amanda, you are 2 years and 3 steps ahead of me! I just bought the same box, also on FB marketplace! I'm 30 years older than you and only 5 ft, so I bought a 3 step folding ladder at Lowes. I bungeed it across the van behind the front seats and put a board between it and my fridge. Love the lanyard idea for the key to pull the box roof down. Keep these great videos coming. Thanks for sharing this video. I have the same box. If you put a towel underneath all of the stuff, you can pull on the towel to get easier access to items.
Hi, awesome channel. The thing with rooftop boxes is that they are only supposed to handle 100 pounds to prevent damage to the box or the roof. I had to rethink that for myself.

We had a roof top and it was very loud when on the highway. Therefore we switched to a rear carrier. Do you notice that or was it just our older rooftop?

So.. you have to lock from the rear, then go around the side to load/unload? Seems like a lot of hassle?
