I'm pushing 50 and have wanted to ride a motorbike all my life. It was now or never. I bought a new (red) fireball. I absolutely love it! I seriously have not had this much fun before. It's like Christmas every morning waking up to this bike. Such a joy to ride.
That's so good to hear, genuinely delighted for you mate. It really is a great experience and then once you have a bike then you can do so much. Congratulations and enjoy! Cheers 🍻
Melanie I have been on the fence about buying this bike... I think your comment just sold me. Time to enjoy life a bit. Also Thanks Rev for the review.
@@Osinivos4 Hey buddy. 100% time to enjoy life and this will help you get out there and see more. Its also great for mental health and clearing your head. Enjoy my friend. Cheers 🍻
I guess the fact that Royal Enfield's CEO actually rides their bikes to and from work shows in the quality of their product. I saw these in India years ago and have always loved em.
I’ll be 61 in 4 days (OMG!) and I picked up my 2022 RE Meteor 350 Stellar Black Friday last & I don’t regret one penny (pence?) of the purchase price! An absolutely wonderful machine! She has exceeded all of my expectations (looks, performance, sound) and every day that I can ride is a good day. A great day!
Haha, still young mate. And congratulations!! What a cracking machine 😁 truly great value and fun. Looks the part as well. Lots of fun times ahead! Cheers 🍻
Or for someone who's had all the bikes but recently realised that with ever decreasing speed limits and increasingly poor driving standards in the UK - perhaps it's time to recapture that very thing which got us into biking on the first place? Kick back, relax and enjoy the freedom of a bike so accessible that it's a real antidote to the jaded mindset some of us have fell into with advancing years? Test riding one at the weekend. Looking forward to it very much. Thanks so much for the real world review 👌👍
I'm now over 70 and riden everything from sports bikes muscle bikes ect and now have a 350 enfield and believe me you can still frighten yourself on one so size and power don't matter too much it's probably more fun riding a low powered bike fast around the twisty country lains than a big heavy 100 bhp bike 😊
I have a Blue Stellar, nearly 300 miles on her due the first service next week. It’s a unbelievable good bike, won’t set any speed records but that’s not what the bikes for. Build quality is great I absolutely love it 😊
I agree! Get on, start her up and then spend the next couple of hours grinning! Get off and just keep on grinning! Mines in Stellar Red with a Low Rider seat and a touring screen.
Hi And been thinking of getting one for my wife her Ducati monster is just to fast for her. It’s always good to hear from someone-who actually put his hand in his pocket and bought one. Would you recommend for a 5ft 2” girl. Cheers and what model did you go for.
@@davemonday5381 I’ve got the stellar in blue, love it!! I liked that the all the bike is painted the same colour and chrome exhaust etc, and that the small back rest has Royal Enfield machine finished on it “classy lol” I didn’t like the blacked out fireball (probably one of the very few) or the supernova colours. I’m 5.7” with a 30” inside leg and can just about flat foot both sides with the optional touring seat, you can get a low seat. I’m 50 and happy with less power, and once fully run in will happily travel on dual carriageways or motorways but it’ll be almost flat out. My last two bikes were a Ducati Scrambler and a Moto Guzzi V7, so I’ve dropped a lot of performance and I’m very happy with the bike. If she’s happy with the power loss then I’d recommend the bike, it’s a huge grin making ride every time 😁
@@AMac71 cheers Andy so you recommend then. For a shorter lady and thanks for the reply. I must admit it’s one of the nicest little bikes I’ve come across in a Very long time. You enjoy.
Top speed is about 75mph but it can do 60-70 mph all day without any stress and this bike can do over 300 miles easily on a full tank before any need to refuel it. It is quite torquey at low end and most fun i have on a motorbike is at 50 mph riding and enjoying the nature around me. Motorcycling is not reaching the destination as quick as possible but to ride and enjoy the journey 🙂
Forget the numbers- it rides beautifully and has nice linear power. I own one in California And absolutely love riding it. Feels really classic European, unlike the Japanese “spaceship” designs
Lol 😆 Japanese spaceship design that got me .. it’s a great option for day to day life . Not gonna say for very long distance motorbikers but certainly good for roaming around in cities..
@@allans7281 Yuppp it makes you feel planted and that’s where it differs from sporty ones ☝🏻. I personally like that feel makes you feel the road as well as machine.
Since most reviewers use supernova, i thank you for using fireball. The high end versions were too heavy on the accessories in my opinion. I like the free, bold and young look of fireball. Also, recently bought a white fireball, looks fresh 😅
Fireball Yellow here also... 🚀🌙 Bought her just the other day. Previous owner had added the pillion back rest... I might get the bar end mirrors but thats as much as I'll do to her. *Crap Game*
Hey Rev, I really liked your heart felt review on the Meteor 350 buddy. I've pressed the thumb thing and subscribed. I have had a few bikes over the years, but the Stellar I'm getting on Tuesday , is definitely my last bike ( i'm 70 next year and I want it to be the one to see me through all the way ) Regards from Scotland
Great review, I've come from a sports bike background, and a couple of years ago changed to the Royal Enfield Interceptor. I've really enjoyed it , but yesterday I took the little 350 meteor and I don't know what it is , but there is something about this bike that just feels like this little machine just copes perfectly for safe enjoyment, so really and more smiles than you can handle , and looks wise I just love it , and the heal shifter I was worried about , 20mins later it was my new favourite cool feature. Royal Enfield, you are smashing it 👊🏼
That's awesome to hear Mark and that's exactly how I felt about the Meteor on 1st ride. But it just all comes together to provide a simple and fun ride that's chilled and comfortable. Cheers 🍻
I had a test ride on Friday and agree with everything you say ..now what do I do 😂🤔. Pondering at the age of 67 almost and just passed my mod 2…so this is very much on the list 🤔 great review buddy 🙏
Hey Terry, thank you and congratulations mate! Exciting time ahead 🙌 if you like this I'd would also say check out the Interceptor 650, I've done a video on that too. Similar bikes but a bit more power. Let me know how you get on mate. Cheers 🍻
Been doing some research on this bike as a potential starter for me. I'm actually really relieved to hear a tall rider is having comfort with it as I'm tall myself and a common thing I hear with it is that it is for the shorter rider. Great comprehensive review and I'm looking forward to getting to a dealer to try one myself!
I have the stellar on order in dark blue, went for the stellar as I liked the chrome exhaust and other parts painted same as tank. I am down sizing from a 750 as it is to heavy for me at my old age, very impressed with the meteor.
Mr. Barrie. Hello. I read your post with interest. I am considering the purchase of a Himalayan or a Meteor as I have to make concessions to my age (68). ✋
Hi David, get a test ride on the meteor I think you will like it. I didn't bother to test ride the himalayan as i just didn't like the look of it. I am 66 by the way.
@@jamesbarrie2458 Right now I live in Colombia (Tuluá..town near Cali). The road surfaces are not always maintained properly, and that is why I have considered the Himalayan; however, the Meteor would suffice for urban and intercity travel within the Cauca Valley. It also is a very good looking motorcycle! Either choice will be comfortable for my 5'7" and 160 lbs frame. If the bike were to fall, at my present age I could still pick it up using proper technique (I work out in a local gym 5 days a week trying diligently to maintain muscle mass.). With a Honda 750....doubtful that I could pick it up.
@@davidmanix3592 Hi David, if you can try them both and you will know for sure. I ha e done a full review on the Himalayan and also and offroad video. Watch those if you haven't already. Cheers 🍻
Loved your honest review. So impressed with this bike, I just drove to the dealer a bought one on the spot. Didn't have the yellow, so had to settle on the red. This will keep my Interceptor company in the shed, pick it up in a couple of days once it stops raining. Ready for the Spring weather.....bring it on.
Hey Ossie, thank you mate, appreciated. Ah awesome, love the Red also. Lol I know right, hopefully good weather coming soon. The Meteor 350 is a cracking machine, just loved it. Might have picked up a new bike at the weekend mtself....but don't tell anyone 😉, videos on the channel next week. Cheers 🍻
Took a test ride of the bike in India, Uttarakhand-Dehradun. Thinking of booking the bike in the festival season. I personally like White and Red Fireball. Let's see which one I will book. Nice review. I have watched msny reviews of the bike of Indian RUclipsrs but I liked yours.
Hey Ronaldo, thank you for your feedback friend and the white and red Fireball also look great. All personal preference of course. Really pleased you enjoyed the review. Enjoy brother. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews It's not fast, but it makes you smile all the way! When I get off after a 50-60 mile ride, I just find myself smiling as I go through the rest of the day! I think it's not just a bike, it's a mindset - should be available on prescription!
Excellent review. I liked the way you mentioned returning riders and didn't harp on about entry level (as mentioned) but one group everyone forgets which appears to be a big buying group, is downsizing older riders. I am a 65 year old, that has owned approximately 50 bikes. Had everything you can think of. Due to multiple ops and poor health, I can't even move a 650 round the garage now. I now ride a 250, but the Meteor really ticks all the boxes. It does about 15% more than anything I want to do with it. Also the 500km range is incredible.. I would fill my NX250 up 2½ times to achieve this. Thanks again, I am convinced.
Hi Tim, really appreciate your feedback mate and pleased to hear that this video was useful to you. Ah totally agree, many out there as you say wish to change bikes for something more manageable and the Meteor is great for that. Cracking bike plus a few cheeky mods can increase the power a little if needed 😀 Cheers 🍻
Yeah i think this bike appeals to people who have already scratched the big bike itch. The looks appeal to people who remember bikes being like this. Most people who pass their test and need low bhp bikes will probably still want something a bit quicker.
At the end of the last season I bought also such a Royal Enfield Meteor and I like it very much. I just started again motor biking. And it is really amazing. I am sorry, if I have some mistakes in my english. I am german...
I love the sound of a single-piston thumper. Reminds me of the sound of the Honda Ascot I learned to ride on. I might go test ride one of these next week.
A really excellent review, thank you very much. I’m getting closer to buying one every time I watch a review. The only thing I miss on this model is a Rev counter, which is something I like to have particular with a small engine. In my case I would look to maybe remove the satnav and fit the matching Rev counter (if possible?)🤔
@@davidstancomb5380 hmmmm, David, not sure many people will agree with your views or choice of words. But at least you are passionate about the bike as a whole. Everyone has an opinion I guess.
Absolutely love this bike! It's like my Jawa 350 in that if you tell someone it'll barely do 70 they're, like, meh that's a bit crap, but it doesn't feel in any way underpowered. I prefer the cheaper version without the bumstop. The rear looks good around the tail light. That integrated satnav is great and it's really discreet. Riding round watching a 5" satnav screen spoils the look and you're forever taking it on and off when you park. I'd get one myself only I prefer two strokes. Thanks for making the review.
Hey Tom. Thank you my friend, and you're welcome. Was great fun making this idea and I just love the bike. Its been so incredibly popular worldwide. Great fun and although not high power the bike doesn't seem to need more. Perfect for what it was intended for. Cheers 🍻
I’m hopefully getting one soon. I wanted red at first but I really like the yellow. Something about the fireball yellow against the black. Too awesome. Going to look at one in 2 days. So excited. Nice review mate✌️
Thank you mate, appreciated. Totally, lots of good colours, for me the Yellow just stood out. That's exciting to hear, hopefully you can get out for a ride at the same time. Let me know what you think. Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the THOUGHTFUL review, Mate! I'm not as young as I used to be (turning 60 in Feb.-can't believe it!), so I was looking for something that's light and easy to manage. I've had bigger, faster bikes, including a ZRX 1100 at one point, but I don't want that now; I want something that'll cruise the back roads on a nice day. I'm a bit hefty myself, so it's good to know that the Meteor will handle a bigger guy. Using the stone to lb. converter, I'm about 18-18.5 stone myself. If it'll handle someone who's 21 stone, it'll handle me. As soon as the Meteor came out, I HAD to have one! I just liked the look of the bike. Like you, the yellow is my color. I thought I'd have to wait months to get one though, as no dealers near me had one-until today, that is. I called the local RE dealer, and I told 'em I wanted a Fireball Yellow Meteor. The guy said he'd reach out to RE's rep to find out when they might have one. He called back saying he didn't know when he'd get one; I was bummed. An hour or so later he called me back, saying he'd gotten one in his delivery-yes! I put a deposit down on the yellow Meteor, and I pick it up on Monday. I can't wait!
Hi Mark. Glad you liked the review and congratulations on getting the bike mate. She's a real peach and will do you proud. Very sought after as you found out. Lots if great times ahead. Thanks again and enjoy. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews the local dealer has 3 Meteors in stock, but they're the higher trim versions; they're all Supernova models. I knew from the off that I wanted the Fireball Yellow. One, it's freakin' gorgeous! Two, I LOVE the matte black finish of the exhaust; that's BADASS! Three, I'm not as limber as I used to be, so the backrest just gets in the way of mounting and dismounting. RE is becoming popular because they make something that the other motorcycle makers forgot: a good, basic BIKE! They're making smaller and middleweight bikes that other makers have gotten away from. They're making bikes that guys can-gasp-actually AFFORD! They're making great bikes, period. If I had the money, I'd also buy a Himalayan and an Interceptor 650. When bikes cost as much as cars, there's something wrong. RE is reversing that trend; they're making what people want, which is why they're becoming a player. Anyway, I CAN'T WAIT to get my Meteor 350! She's just what the doctor ordered. Cheers... :)
@@markymarknj Totally agree with you mate and love how enthusiastic about the Meteor and RE you are. Nail on the head with you comments. @@Revviews I got mine (Fireball Yellow, of course) and I LOVE IT! The bike is helping me fall in love with motorcycling all over again; it reminds me of why I got in to riding in the first place. The bike is everything I wanted and more. After getting home from a ride, I just sit and look at the bike to admire it. Another reviewer said that, if you don't want to just look at and admire your bike after a ride, then you have the wrong bike! Since my local dealer doesn't have any accessories yet, I've been spending time on Hitchcock's Motorcycles site, and figuring out what I'll get for the bike! I think my first two purchases will be the headlight grille and the black fly screen... :)

I'd own one in a heartbeat. It just looks sensational for a sensibly priced icon. Surely not perfect but probably perfect for what it was designed to do. At 73, my wife won't let me near one. Here in Australia, they're very well priced at around AUD7600.00 for the Meteor. There's just something about a single cylinder donk, and I love it. Will I ever own one? I doubt it but I can watch top videos like this and dream a little....
Hi Martoon, really is a cracking bike and good value I feel. Each to their own on the looks but to me it's beautiful and simply fun to ride which is all you can ask for really. If RE put the 650 in this they might attract even more buyers but for less than £4k it's a bargain. Thanks for your support. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews No probs Rev. Good commentary, and as you say, cracking machine. I went through quite a few Beezers and Triumphs in my teens but haven't owned a motorcycle for years now. I like the matte black tail pipe. I'm looking at this for my first ever motorcycle. Does the windshield make a significant difference as far as riding comfort?
Hello mate. Yeah the matt back pipe looks cool. I think a windshield might help a little a the higher speeds however as its a naked bike it won't make a huge difference. But you won't get too much wind blast anyway. Hope that helps. Cheers 🍻
Hi Raymond, Totally agree. Each to their own of course, however I think it looks really good. Plus a screen can be added for next to nothing. Thanks mate. Cheers
Hi Clayton, thanks for your support mate and pleased you enjoyed the video. I did think I'd be too big for the Meteor 350 but it was actually great, fun to ride and comfortable. Heel shifter is cool as well. Cheers 🍻
Those Fireball are beautiful. I like like the matte black.........they're all beautiful. Love the exposed aluminum faces on the cooling fins. Love the look of the Himalayan.....love the look of the 650s......

Great review! I totally agree with you about the heel toe shifter and the comfort of the seat. I found it interesting that you are 6'4" and you were very comfortable. I am 5'6" and it's the most comfortable bike I have ever ridden!
Glad to see a review from someone of heft. Lots of reviews from the tall but they are usually skinny to boot. Looks like the Meteor can easily handle a bit of extra weight.
I've got 40 years of riding and owned 38 bikes from massive cruisers to rocketships, dual sport and adventure bikes, mad 2 strokes and twins , 4's, triples and singles and own a Tmax but I'm having one and a yellow fireball cos " Damn , thats a great looking bike"..I think 10 or 12 inch ape hangers , a national cycle screen and a carrier where the rear seat pad sits and I'll cruise good old Blighty at sane speeds..very cool and great review!! There will be a massive accessories catalog in 12 months time too
Hi Stevie, 100% mate. It's great to hear you like this and the yellow as well. Personal choice of course but for me the yellow just pops and makes the bike. Yes there will be loads of mods for this. Was looking to buy one, and was very excited about it. Yesterday went for a test ride on one.....lovely looking bike, smooth motor.......but I can only describe its performance to 'that of a good 125' :( I know instinctively if I'm going to like a bike within a few minutes of riding it. I was out on it for 5 minutes, and KNEW that if I bought one, I'd come to regret it, the instant I was out on the open road. It'd be great around town, but on a longer journey, particularly when faced with hills and winds. I can only describe its performance as 'flatter than flat'! Of course that is just my take....but I would strongly advise having a test ride, before making a decision.....and take it out on an A-road that has a hill or two. I got the test bike up to 60.....and there seemed virtually nothing to speak of past that. Also, I'm eleven stone, so am not really heavy. Horses for courses.
Hello mate, great feedback for other there. I agree with you, if it had a little more power it would be ideal. Howwcr that being said for many it's still just a nice easy cruiser. Cheers 🍻
What's the best octane fuel to use? Or, perhaps a better question is, will it hurt it if I use higher octane fuel? I'd like to squeeze 2-3 more HP out of it, as I am a bit fat.
It definitely won't harm.it running higher octane. May not see much of an increase in power, however you will normally see a little better in the range. Cheers 🍻
I loved this video. I was searching for infos about the bike I'm planing to get when I'll have my license. This video helped me to understand that I can't wait to get it !
@darrylwilson4027 hello chap. But of a mix really. Mainly Spidi for gloves and jacket I believe. Can't think of the boots right now. Best thing to do is find a good dealership with a clothing section and try a few things on that suit style and budget.
Great to see your review. Some others gave me the idea this bike might be too small for me, but being a tiny 6ft 3 and 16stone, it should be great. Thanks very much.
Thank you for the great video, glad you like the heal toe shifter, so glad they put the heal toe shifter on, just needs a kick start. With a 3.297 imperial gal gas tank at 100 miles per gal that will give you well over 300 miles per tank, before having to look for gas. My dream is bikes that get over 500 km per tank of gas. and 500 before you have to start looking for gas is a dream come true, ( 530 km per tank of gas ) I do like the looks of the Classic but it dose not have the heal toe shifter, and the gas tank is smaller. I did see other videos where they say they were getting 37 km per liter of gas so 37 km times 15 liters is 555 km per tank of gas ) If we has a dealer on the island ( Prince Edward Island Canada) I would have one in my stable along with the Royal Enfield 450 Himalayan. Even thinking of going off island, gut it is 50 dollars just to cross the bridge, so that would add up after a few visits.

@Terry Turbo Burrows It's true mate. I'm been dealing with some personal stuff so I've been away for a while. Hoping to get back into things this year. Will be lots to review at least lol.
Yep - it took me about a half hour to get used to it on a test ride. I found that by sticking my left knee out a bit, it made it less uncomfortable to use. If I was wearing flip flops it would have been easy, but in boots that protect your ankles should the worst happen, the positioning is unnatural.
I am glad you said you are 6 feet 4 and 21st. I was a little concerned about my knees touching the RE logo on the tank when I sat on one yesterday. I am 6 feet 3 and 14 stone. So it should be fine then!
@HitchHikersBlues Easy to ride, yes they are. However slightly trickier than your average due to the layout. But definitely a great choice. Embrace the crisis as we aren't promised tomorrow. Cheers 🍻
Just shy of 12,000 miles on mine. Use it every day, all year for commuting and touring. Its fantastic and very low upkeep costs. More than fast enough for UK roads with there ever decreasing speed limits and increased enforcement. Even sold my R1 for it, as I rode this bike more 😂

@@Revviews Thanks. That was a quick reply! I always remember being so impressed at the age of 17 with an RE Bullet's acceleration, so was curious to see this video. I've been riding since 1965. Before that, when I was round about eight, my uncle Peter took me pillion on his BSA A10 for my first 'ton' [no helmet, and "Dont' tell your mother!"], and since then it has never seemed quite right for a motor bike not to be able to reach a hundred! Silly, I know, especially in this country. Although one does still indulge occasionally, for the good of one's soul, where it's safe to do so. Of course a 350cc is not that kind of bike. And the air resistance from the upright body position is of course a big factor. I just wondered because 70 seemed a bit too low for that power. I'm not [quite] your weight - not yet! - but very nearly your height. That was another one of the things I'd been curious about, because a lot of good bikes are just not comfortable for big long streaks. But you already answered it in this video. Ta. Also seats have been a problem for me in this sense: on my present Kawasaki Vulcan 900 the seat just slides me too far forward after a while, because of the rearward curve. Again, you've said that you, a big bloke, found this machine's seat very comfortable, so thanks for that too. Maybe I'll change... Good video. Now subscribed.
@@robwilde855 Thank you mate. I try to be speedy in replies if possible. Its good to get feedback and help where I can. RE do seem to make great seats. Morning Stig, greetings friend. Oh it definitely can do it I just meant maybe you won't want to load the bike up too much etc. 100% could go on longer journeys. Cheers 🍻
You could use the Meteor for long travels, but you'd need to stick to secondary roads to do it; I think that the bike would be happier there anyway. If you need to bypass a bad area of town, then the Meteor could hop on the freeway or motorway for a few miles or km, but that's all. For example, I take mostly secondary roads on the way to the family cemetery, but I have to bypass a bad area of Trenton, NJ on the way; the Meteor could easily handle that short, high speed leg before returning to the secondary roads. Or, if traveling from the eastern US to Ohio, I'd take US Route 40 vs. Interstate 70. The Meteor will do long travels-just so long as you're not in a hurry!
This 350 in any of the range including the classic ( which was choice) is not about performance its about performing with soul Which it does superbly .
Hello mate. In 6ft4 and big. You will get to 70mph. It just isn't a top speed kinda bike. Not too tall. The bike was very comfortable for me so should be for you. But of course vest to try one if possible. Cheers 🍻

Really nice More than likely last motorcycle i will own. I own it and insurance is inexpensive, abs and have not tried the Tripper yet. I did not buy the motorcycle for the tripper Love mine. 225 miles and 1st check up soon, probably August 4/5/6
Fantastic review and I love it 😻 want one like yesterday and will have to make room in the garage for it 🙀 great video just subscribed and looking forward to more 👍 ps just would like to ask if the clutch gets stiff as the bike warms up? My triumph tiger clutch leaver gets a little harder to pull the more you ride it 🤔
Thank you my friend and I'm pleased you enjoyed the review. I can't say I noticed any change in the clutch lever when riding if that helps. Thanks for watching. Cheers 🍻
I'd love one of these. But although i don't want 100mph and 5 second 0-60 these days i'm wondering if its going to get me up those long climbs on windy roads without causing a conga line behind me. My 125 only did about 50 up this dual carriageway that went uphill for about 5 miles. It could easily go past 75 on the way down and it was a bit frustrating at times. Seemed never ending :)
@@Revviews Yeah i thought maybe it would pull up hill well with the extra cc. I'm tempted by the Scram too. Seems to have a bit more power. Although still not a lot. I think if the meteor had the scram engine it would be my first choice but i do like the look of the scram.
@@letni9506 if not urgent I'd hold off as I think theres a range of new bikes coming from RE with the 650 engine. That will cover all your power needs.

Cheers 🍻
I appreciate how he refers to this as a bike for returning riders. Too many reviews call it entry level.
Thank you Rick.
I've only been riding for about 2 months and it's perfect for me. A bit underpowered, but that's a good thing for a beginner, right?
I liked that the all the bike is painted the same colour and chrome exhaust etc, and that the small back rest has Royal Enfield machine finished on it “classy lol”
I didn’t like the blacked out fireball (probably one of the very few) or the supernova colours.
You enjoy.
Stellar Blue is a nice color too. If I couldn't have gotten the Fireball Yellow Meteor, I'd have gone for the Stellar Blue... :)
Thanks Ribhav 😊 cheers 🍻
Many get intimidated by just reading the hp but forget to consider that one thing is 19 hp from a 150cc another thing is 19 hp from a 350ccc.
Forget the numbers- it rides beautifully and has nice linear power. I own one in California And absolutely love riding it. Feels really classic European, unlike the Japanese “spaceship” designs

Thank you mate. It was really comfortable and I'm sure when you try it you will like it too. Appreciate your support :) cheers 🍻
I have the stellar on order in dark blue, went for the stellar as I liked the chrome exhaust and other parts painted same as tank. I am down sizing from a 750 as it is to heavy for me at my old age, very impressed with the meteor.
Hi James, great choice there and you will have a blast on the Meteor. Such a fun and comfortable bike. Makes every ride enjoyable. Cheers 🍻
Mr. Barrie.
If the bike were to fall, at my present age I could still pick it up using proper technique (I work out in a local gym 5 days a week trying diligently
to maintain muscle mass.). With a Honda 750....doubtful that I could pick it up.
@@davidmanix3592 Hi David, if you can try them both and you will know for sure. I ha e done a full review on the Himalayan and also and offroad video. Watch those if you haven't already. Cheers 🍻

Thanks mate, such a great bike. Cheers 🍻
Cracking bike plus a few cheeky mods can increase the power a little if needed 😀

@@Revviews Yes, I got my Meteor and absolutely loving it. I am a huge Royal Enfield fan.
Oh BTW mine is a 2022 but it looks exactly like the 2021
Thanks for the THOUGHTFUL review, Mate!

Hi , i have a question , did this motorcycles have a Kik starter ?
Morning. No kick starter

Cheers 🍻

What gloves, helmet, boots, jeans, and jacket are you sporting? And how do you rate them?
@darrylwilson4027 hello chap. But of a mix really. Mainly Spidi for gloves and jacket I believe. Can't think of the boots right now. Best thing to do is find a good dealership with a clothing section and try a few things on that suit style and budget.
Really enjoyed your video. Congrats from Brasil. O booked one just like the one you are riding in the video :), I can't wait to ride it.
Hey Luciano, thank you mate and congratulations also brother! Cracking bike there. Great times ahead! Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews Thank you dude, cheers!
Great to see your review. Some others gave me the idea this bike might be too small for me, but being a tiny 6ft 3 and 16stone, it should be great. Thanks very much.
Thank you mate. Oh yeah you'll love it. Great size. And being that big lighter will mean faster for you as well. Cheers 🍻
As someone who is 193cm tall, will I be able to ride the meteor comfortably, or will I need to get a bigger bike?
Yeah no problem at all. I'm 6ft4 (193cm) and it's very comfortable. Cheers 🍻
Thank you kindly, sir. We're both 6ft4 and 21 stone (I'm actually 21.6), so I need something that's smooth.
Thank you. Really appreciate your feedback and for watching. Tis a great little bike. Cheers 🍻
Hi,
from one big guy to another, good review, sat on a 350 today really impressed not the yellow one which i fancy.Booking a test ride next week weather permitting.
Hi Tony. Thanks mate. Yeah a real pleasure to ride is the Meteor 350. Handles like a dream and just good fun to take out. Fingers crossed on the weather but heatwave on the way 😃. Let us know how you get on. Cheers 🍻
To me, the yellow, with Matt black, is the best looking. Just needs a tinted fly screen.
Hey Mark, yeah spot on mate. Cheers 🍻
and bar end mirrors
What a great review, excellent info delivered with wisdom and wit. what more could you want?
Hi Chris, thank you for your support mate and really happy you enjoyed the video. Cheers 🍻
I agree Fireball Yellow is the one. I'd a fit the black fly screen and fork gaiters 🤗
@@julianrose810 😃 great choices there. Thanks Julian.
I have done 700 miles on mine in yellow with tinted screen and love it can’t wait to test ride the 650 version tho ❤️🥂
Hey Terry, very nice mate. Cracking machine and glad you are enjkying it. Maybe a Super Meteor on the cards for you in the future?? Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews very possible bud loving the look of it 🥂🙏😎
About time you did the 650 bud 🤣🥂
@Terry Turbo Burrows It's true mate. I'm been dealing with some personal stuff so I've been away for a while. Hoping to get back into things this year. Will be lots to review at least lol.
@@Revviews hope to go to the show in london this month 🥂🙏
has this bike got self cancelling indicators good review im going to get one
Hi Dean, thank-you, appreciated.As far as I'm aware isn't doesn't mate. Cheers 🍻
I ordered one in yellow, the heel-toe shifter took some getting used to after years of sportbikes and tourers.
Yep - it took me about a half hour to get used to it on a test ride. I found that by sticking my left knee out a bit, it made it less uncomfortable to use. If I was wearing flip flops it would have been easy, but in boots that protect your ankles should the worst happen, the positioning is unnatural.
It's great when you get used to it. Really smooth as well.
I am glad you said you are 6 feet 4 and 21st. I was a little concerned about my knees touching the RE logo on the tank when I sat on one yesterday. I am 6 feet 3 and 14 stone. So it should be fine then!
Hello mate, yeah think you will like it but of course best to try anyway just incase. I found it really comfortable. Cheers 🍻
Never ridden a bike apart from a moped years ago.
I would love to embrace my crisis 😂 and buy one of these.
Are they easy to ride?
@HitchHikersBlues Easy to ride, yes they are. However slightly trickier than your average due to the layout. But definitely a great choice. Embrace the crisis as we aren't promised tomorrow. Cheers 🍻
Just shy of 12,000 miles on mine. Use it every day, all year for commuting and touring. Its fantastic and very low upkeep costs. More than fast enough for UK roads with there ever decreasing speed limits and increased enforcement. Even sold my R1 for it, as I rode this bike more 😂
Top man and well said. It's a cracking machine. 👌
Cheers 🍻
I know exactly what you’re trying to say. Great review thanks. I’m sorely tempted for here in Nz.
Thanks Chris, appreciated mate and pleased you enjoyed the review brother. Cheers 🍻
Wonder if there's an led headlight mod available yet?
Hey Paul, yep I think you can now get LED replacement bulbs. Not cheap but possibly a good upgrade.
@@Revviews hi, yes I'll look into that then, it'll save the battery quite alot and allow it to charge quicker. Bought mine from Foundry. Absolutely love it. Is this A26? I think i recognise it.
@@paulkazjack haha yeah that's its. Near Uckfield.
Class mate, whens the Busa video going up, I know you recorded it 😉 😆
Well my friend perhaps next Friday. Although we have much to disclose!! Watch this space, the next few weeks are gonna be 🔥 🔥 🔥
Love the yellow as well, tbh
Yeah just pops. Cracking bike. Thank you. 😊
This is my dream bike, in this gorgeous Fireball Yellow as well. I'd happily grab a chair and just admire this beauty all day. I'm ironing out all the beginner mistakes on a beat up Yamaha YBR125, and as soon as I pass my DAS next year I'm buying one of these. I just hope I can get the backrest included.
Thank you mate. Really is a beautiful bike. Loved making the video. Paint is superb. A real pleasure to simply enjoy the ride. Good luck with the DAS, you'll do great. Cheers 🍻
Really enjoyed your review.
Wow, you are a big lad ! It seemed to get up to speed no problem all the same.🙂
Hi David, thank you mate. lol yeah I'm quite stocky. Working on it 😉
100%, and let's be honest with a lighter person it would probably be great haha. Cheers 🍻
Wow, what an impressive performance by this little bike. I hope to take delivery today after work, will be a learner bike for me.
I weigh in at 13 stone (I am also working at it, LOL) and 1.7 meters so this bike will be perfect for me, I reckon.
About $6000 out the door in the USA
@@twoeightythreez 😃 wish I was 13 Stone lol. You'll be flying around having a blast mate. Cracking bike you've got there. Now you can go exploring! Cheers 🍻
One of my favourite you tubers uses the music at the beginning of your review. Is that a royalty free track. Btw the yellow Meteor is my favourite colour👍
Hi, great track isn't and yes all royalty free from RUclips Studio free music. I use that for now as to be 100% sure of no issues. Ah cool, each to their own of course but for me yeah the Yellow also, seems to be their best selling colour. Cheers 🍻
I bought also the blue stellar. But I bought it because the seating bank, because my wife is sometimes comming with me. From the colour I had prefared as well the yellow, but I wanted also the chrome exhaust and this wasn´t possible. If it was possible, I had token all equipment with the yellow colour. I especially love the rims with the yellow circle.
Very nice choice mate and it's great that you and your wide can enjoy it together and make memories. Thanks for watching and enjoy that beauty. Cheers 🍻
I bought my meteor 350 steller in red from Groombridge great bike I bought the stellar in that maroon red as the original 1953 meteor was made in that colour I also prefer the chrome exhaust 😊
Congratulations Henry, cracking bike you have. Red does look great too. Enjoy. Cheers 🍻
@@Revviews a great bike love mine I have a continental 535 GT which I have owned for nearly 6 years I have had both the 650 twins plus a Himalayan, bullet trails and a 500 classic so you could say I’m a Royal Enfield Fan 😂
Is that top speed figure due to an installed limiter?
Hi Rob, it's what RE say it's top speed is. You possibly can get more but not at my weight lol.
Of course still best to try one if you can but I ride lots of bikes and this one is ace. Kits coming to increase the power slightly as well. Thanks again and appreciated. Cheers 🍻
Nice review !!!
Thanks Tom, appreciated mate. Cheers 🍻
Great vid! Love the colour of this bike too! 😁
Thank you. Beautiful right. 😍
Hi, thanks , Nice review, but why is it not a bike for long travels ? Greetings Stig from Norway
Ok, thank you!
Hi ! interesting video but I have a question. Is it suitable for tall people? How tall are you? Thnks in advance.
Hi Carlos, 100% suitable for tall people, I'm 6ft4 and it was great.
I'm 6 feet tall and just under 13 stone, 32" inside leg and I get on great with mine, very comfortable.👍
Awesome review with great detailing & Personal handling recommendations.
Thank you friend. Cheers 🍻
This 350 in any of the range including the classic ( which was choice) is not about performance its about performing with soul
Which it does superbly .
Agreed
Great review mate! I have 2 questions
What is the top speed and as a 6 foot 2 guy (1.88cm)do you think i am too tall for this bike?
Hello mate. In 6ft4 and big. You will get to 70mph. It just isn't a top speed kinda bike. Not too tall. The bike was very comfortable for me so should be for you. But of course vest to try one if possible. Cheers 🍻
I'm very interested in the new RE Tripper navigation system!
It's great and handy, providing you have mobile signal 😁
@@Revviews as far as i know working of tripper. U will definitely need network for searching map and
route but once dialed in no need of network. Until u search new route(like how google map work).
My local royal Enfield dealer has 55 royal Enfield meteors on back order, 3 month waiting list. ... the local Ducati dealer had a show room full of £30k+bikes
Yep just shows where the desire and value is. RE are flying at the moment with lots more coming.
@@Revviews I really wanted one of these but bought a Himalayan, it's a been a bit of a love /hate bike. 90+mpg engine sounds like a can of nails, but blew a hardly worthitson 1450cc or whatever into the weeds on the way to work today 😎, all tho it was quite cloudy, and Harley's are solar powered.. 🤔 they only come out when the sun shines.
@@jamespegram8843 The Himalayan is a great bike. I did an off-road video on the same bike if you've not seen that yet. I'd get the Himalayan over the Meteor just for road and offroad capability. Plus mods around to make them faster if you want too. Cheers 🍻
Got my knee down on the Himalayan today, couldn't find my reading glasses so had to kneel down to check oil level
@@jamespegram8843 Had me for a minute hahaha.
I wasnt too sure about the styling a while back but ive changed my mind.that yellow looks fine

Can't wait for exhaust options. Make that single purr.
For sure, will make it sound so good 👍 😋
66+, rode since 1994? And Suzuki Kawasaki 9 BMW. The speed is no more. Rode to a workout and came home on highway 62 mph. Great little bike, love the heel/toe shifter.
Really nice
More than likely last motorcycle i will own. I own it and insurance is inexpensive, abs and have not tried the Tripper yet. I did not buy the motorcycle for the tripper
Love mine.
Cheers 🍻
That colour but add the screen after market
Great shout. 👍
Yeah I think you'd be fine. Try one if you can but the extra CC and torque will pull you up fine I'd say. 👍 cheers 🍻
@@Revviews Yeah 650 would be nice. But i might be going back down that faster, heavier, costlier rabbit hole again i was trying to avoid :)
They've been talking about a 650 scram for ages but not heard anything recently.

How is the heating issue, as I see the break pedal very close to the exhaust pipe?

I was hoping you would take a photo beside to gauge the sizes
