So far so good and Comfortable for Baby Diaper Changing ruclips.net/user/postUgkxPJX6WCW1H8qoBMKuvAzjhRos9V53TrlR My friend picked this one out as he said it's the only one he would feel comfortable carrying around. We've used it for a month, and no problems yet. We like that there are many different pockets, diapers in one, wipes in another, and so forth. Lots of room, but still lightweight. It's great hanging from the stollers as well.
Maxpedition have great products for sure. I have the other model - Veldspar 8L bag. I am using it for urban EDC. For outdoor activity I have selection choice of 2 backpacks from 5.11 - Rush 12 and 24.
They want you to buy the expandable water bottle holder for 25 bucks. I have the skyvale and it's kinda smallish compared to the Vanquest Envoy 3 which is a monster but just a slight dip compared with the AGR lineup. I'm not really sure that a skyridge needs to exist at all. The Wolfspur covers the skyridge thing in spades, has water bottle holder, and is a beast of a product. I bought both the XBH bottle holder and Vanquest cheaper version of this and they work fine. I'll likely leave one bottle holder on one side and put a molly compatible pouch on the other. Unfortunately these things are meant to be tricked out. Hook and loop admin pouches, and so forth. Add another 50 to the price (minimal) for the skyvale. Leave the skyridge alone and get a wolfspur. That's a powerful 1-2 punch for EDC.
My ongoing beef with Maxpedition is their inability to include water bottle holders--good hell, I would take just one. Nice bag but the Vertx is a much, much better layout IMHO. Heck I would even take a DA (Direct Action) over this at least it has something to put a small canteen of water in--great layout as well. Black Scout Survival just did a video on his EDC carry and he was using the Vertx messenger bag with has two water bottle holders. A doctor that I work with also sports the Vertx and it is a great setup and he loves it--it's a good size bag so one has the tendency to overstuff the thing which is not good. Maxpedition makes some great organizer pouches and backpacks, but there are some things they do that are just lame. Anyway, great video, Tim.
I like to keep my water bottle inside the pack: will never fall out or get lost that way. Also, I prefer a cleaner, unified shape versus external pockets and pouches. Different strokes.
Is the bag rigid? When you have your stuff in it or close to empty, does it keep upright or tend to fall over? I have one of their older bags the Attache and it stays upright when I set it down.
I see comments about this looking like a purse, but this is not a range bag, nor is it your weekend tactical bag that might be all decked out with molle straps and Molon Labe patches. This is an EDC bag designed to be carried to and from work, office districts and places where you don't want to telegraph to everyone you might be carrying a weapon.
First: this review is not helping me with my resolutions regarding frugality. Second: that's ok because I found it on sale for $135 (free shipping) at ebags.com Lastly: thank you kindly for the thorough review. This will be perfect for an IdeaPad and EDC gear.
Absolute joke for $169! These reviewers get kickbacks from the sights listed on there homepage, and they usually get the gear for free. It’s very rare to see them bash a product
Well lets examine the facts Shane and Lyndon. Maxpedition sent our friendly RUclips content creator a tech bag for review. The bag is small'ish and goes over the shoulder much like a womans purse. And you guys or I would use it for the same reason a woman carries a purse. To carry small personal items. Personally, I call it a man-purse, but that's neither here nor there. Moving on, seeing as Maxpedition provided him the product for free, it's unlikely he is going to bag on the product. (no pun intended) Max makes nice quality products, so its also doubtful our reviewer here would have anything too terribly bad to say about it. So all he is left to do is go over the features and say a few things about it, much like a commercial, infomercial, or an ad. The OP condensed all that garbage I just typed into a 5 word comment and you guys got butt hurt about it. (and one of you resorted to name calling, but couldn't figure out if its looser or loser) Come on dudes, stop taking this shit so seriously...
Nice rant my friend. Ok Elvay, I said and I quote, " Give me a break!" Butt hurt? Really genius? Can you see or feel my emotions? Last time I checked we are typing, yes? The whole "man purse" was so yesterday and that is MY opinion and my point. You comprehend? Go sell crazy elsewhere as we are all stocked up here (and yes, I quoted a movie). Peace!
Good review and nice piece of gear😀.

I was looking for a bag like this....thabks
Very nice bag. Doesn't look so tactical. Tactical says 'I've got lots of important survival things in here'.
Looks good!
Great video! These just went on sale on the Maxpedtion website. $112! Order placed!
Cool - let me know what you think.

Im surprised you didn't mention the lack of water bottle?
Nice looking bible may I ask version is it? Beautiful cover and nice color.
Be nice to get hooked up with maxpedition to review some of their stuff. Nice bag btw

As always Tim, thanks for the response back my friend.
Yeah the Vertex bags are nice - working on a review of one now
MAXPEDITION OPERATOR TACTICAL ATTACHE Kick Ass Dual Water Bottle Pockets. The VertX is also Kick Ass!

Different strokes.
Could you fit a 13" laptop in the CCW compartment for easy access?
$150!?!?! See, This is why I also check descriptions before I watch the actual videos lol
How big of a pistol do you will fit in the concealed carry portion?
nice but too expensive $120 max IMO
I don't want anything that looks tacticool! I'll stick with my osprey pack for now.
no water bottle holder? to bad. nice review.
Is the bag rigid? When you have your stuff in it or close to empty, does it keep upright or tend to fall over? I have one of their older bags the Attache and it stays upright when I set it down.
It is semi-rigid. It will fall over when you put it down (in my experience).
Yes pockets hold items. How about easy access organizer. Why do reviewers feel the need to talk about what's in the bag more so than the bag itself.
@CUBAvtv 82 are you kidding me?
❤️❤️❤️

Good looking bag, unfortunately I prefer backpacks.
Jack Bauer bag
What maxpedition bag would u recommend for a edc
Depends on how much you carry. I usually use a Hazard 4 Tonto.
I need to find a bag to fit my 17" laptop.
john peters creator of messenger bag craze. bag in this video reeks of china style of mfg.
I had a fat boy...was a real nice edc. Got iPad for Xmas now I use the valence tech bag ...
can that work for something like a small bug out bag
Too small for that IMHO.
Is there enough room to fit a sweatshirt in the bag
SYLBUSHCRAFT ___ if you don't put a lot of other gear in the bag, yes.
Nice looking man purse. Should hold quite a bit of gear.
Yeah, solid man purse.
The message in the bag reads: "Check out my new man purse!" hahahaha Nice job..lol

Looks like a murse
you lost me in the price.
Thanks for sharing that. Tell me - what would you pay for this - I'll pass that info on to the company. Thanks Gus.
Personally i couldn't see myself paying more than $100 for a bad like this. But then again this kind of bag isn't exactly for me
Hey if you have the time I'd suggest to also check out this amazing EDC bag www.acwtactical.com/product/acw-macgyver-bag-fully-loaded-kit/.
Looks like a damn Man purse!
It's a place to poop in the woods.
an ad for a purse
Give me a break!
