My favorites for the day are the floral coasters and the elk. Her side smirk is perfect. Thanks for being honest about the frustrations. It’s good for the less experienced out here to see we aren’t lacking in talent because things don’t go perfectly. It encourages me to keep going on the hard days. God bless.

Those flood coats came out stunning! I know the feeling of having to walk away from a project only too well, but in this instance, it really paid off! I think there's nothing you can't save! Lots of good lessons for people in this one. Didn't mind it being so long one bit. I always watch your vids the whole way through, no matter what.

I love, love, love the coasters, the little, lady elk, the turtle and the other saves. How wonderful you are at Plan B’s…especially after a day like you had. I likely would have poured them all in the trash, then, dug them out inappropriately day or two since I don’t like wasting resin either. Great, great job! The only Crackle I’ve used I used on tumblers. Yes. It’s multi-step. The big thing was to go in one direction only and not to redo a section. You might want to try something like than. ❤❤❤

Michelle you are the queen 👸 of 2nd chances. Everything looks amazing. I love the black, gold and white coasters. You started flood coating them and my mind had gone in a totally different direction. When you painted them white and all the little holes turn up, I saw them as moons. I would have dusted them with different greys to make them look like full moons and clear coated them. But your choice was stunning. ❤❤❤

Nice save in the coasters. The turtle, bear, bookmark and elk are adorable as usual. Nice to know we aren’t alone in having a bad resin day. You know what they say? A bad day of resin is still better than a good day at work. I’m new, so I’ve had a few as there’s a learning curve. I’ve never experienced that with a craft I’ve tried. But I’m determined. You poor thing. You need a spa day girlfriend. 🤗 Blessings!

Love love the flood coated set. Little pink elk lady is beautiful and her best friend Mr. Bear is equally handsome 😆. Really like the other set as well. I think the best part of those two are the pearl edging.

With the ones you are not happy with, you could always use a hole saw and cut out the bit you like and turn them into key chains. You might get hubby to help with the logistics of how to clamp and cut 😮😮

Oh Michelle I guess bad days for resining is common. Happened to me the other day. I was doing a few mold with resin & the one I just filled, I accidently knocked over causing a pool of resin on my work table.🤦♀️I salvaged what could back in the mold & topped up with the left over.
I blamed my hubby for making so much noise fixing the floor.😂 poor guy.
These turned out great. The floeer ones with pearls around the edge are so pretty. I thought the ones that you drizzled resin on you were going to leave that way. They reminded me of the cookies that have white frosting & then drizzled chocolate & carmel over them.
All in all it was a not so bad resin video.

Hey Michelle, I am watching this on Monday afternoon, 09/23/2024. I hope this multi-media painting effect I use will help.
My experience working with "Crackle Effect Paint" in Acrylic Painting has always required a base color, which I allow to dry and then paint that base color with the Crackle Paint, as in the technique I use when I crackle glass.
If you maybe pour a base color in your resin, let dry, and paint your crackle on that 1st layer, let it dry, after drying flood with clear coat. this will make the part you see your top. Hope this helps.
I was really trying to duplicate what my friend achieved right onto her mold. But your way may work too.
Fanning it would have stopped that
I crackle my resin all the time. But i only use cracke nail polish. There are too many things that will inhibit resin. I have other crackles that i use when i upcycle my painted pieces that dont use resin with.

I wonder if you did a thin coat of clear resin in the coaster mold before using this crackle paint? Maybe that would work better? Either way there is always a fix when you have an issue. 💜

Try crackle nail polish. It works well. Does smell but you get a good crackle effect
