I became a fan/believer of Chris Byrd's when he fought against my countryman David "Tuaman" Tua

He’s one of the few heavyweights who still talks with all of his faculties after retirement. He talks clear and show no signs of trauma.

Wow he's so honest about his chin and the fact that he was not true hw. Not that his chin is "bad" I think any punch from a hw would put anyone down at any given time. But I admire his honesty immensely. He's still got his mental faculties too.

Was willing to fight anyone, anywhere. I remember he fought the Klitschko brothers back to back in Germany. Also beat a lot of good heavyweights, including Tua and Vitaly. Great boxing mind, knew the Sweet Science inside out, but was just way too small to be an all-time great.

Chris Byrd had a great chin, especially considering his size. I’ve seen him take tremendous shots. He doesn’t need to be so humble.

I think Chirs was one of yhose smaller fighters that do better at heavyweght, cause he has a mayor speed advantage against bigger, slowwer men.

If it wasn't for his smaller size he would of cleaned out the entire heavyweight division in his prime and that's a fact.

his style was made for heavyweight. score, make them miss. lower weights would have been too quick footed and active imo. he went to heavyweight and had a really good career

Did he say he lost weight after weigh ins? That's crazy!
