I figured this would be tips or essentials easily stowed. But this is essentially everything. Just put every piece of survival gear you can buy into bags and stuff them in your vehicle. But I'm not going to get into what's in these bags. Just one of everything from Cabelas and your local gun shop stuffed in your vehicle.
I'm not sure but ,if anyone else needs to find out about survival store try Franaar Spies Control Formula ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my work buddy got amazing success with it.
Thanks...sometimes I think I am to over prepared and tell myself I need to minimize but when I try to I realize there is nothing I am willing to part with even thought sometimes it's a pain in the ass. I would rather be prepared than wish I would have when in the time its needed. It's nice to see Randy show all his stuff and see that I'm not being overly crazy in preparedness. 👍🙂
Built a full kit based off of this video and others like it over a few years, made a huge mistake and left my tail gate open leaving my job site and my tote carrying majority of my gear slipped out, in the 3 minutes it took for me to turn around and get back to it someone snatched it. Here I am again watching this video to rebuild that kit, served me well for a very long time. Act accordingly gentlemen, and close your damn tail gate.
Gents, this video is already 6 minutes long. If Randy talked about EVERY little piece of kit, it would be a series of 1-hour videos. The goal of the video (and the others in this series) was to show an overview of the equipment that Randy carries.
Watch the video again, take every information given and adapt it to fit your vehicle and possible scenarios you would likely find yourself in. I live on a tropical region, so his advice about clothing would be a waste of time, most of the time. However, I hadn't considered the size of the shirt. As for the video itself, it's better to show and tell rather than just talk and having to explain every single point you want to make.
@@TacticalRifleman I disagree, the point of this video is to help guys build a solid car kit. Telling us there is no point in tearing it apart is just plain lazy, in my opinion. You guys do great videos however, this was not one of them,
Hey this is great. I've always tried to cram everything in one bag. No one ever said you should only have one bag. This one bag per issue/circumstance ensures nothing get left out or behind.
The most important part is to know how to use the gear you buy. watch videos on how to use medical trauma kits, if you have a fire kit make sure you train on how start a fire especially under the rain, if you carry a gun, make sure you go to the shooting range and train more often to sharpen your skills. Etc etc ..
Randy's a genius... He knows it would be much easier to shove these things up his *** as they are. Why bother making a video if he's not willing to show all the gear...
An old Ford P/U was Up-Graded with Bucket Seat so they both can be happy... And a Banks Turbo was added to the Diesel Engine to get over the high mountain passes. The Crew Cab leaves room to recline the seats and more room for storage. A Crew Cab is a must have for one or two people and leaves room for the dog or dogs (that like going for rides) ! A nice option for a full size P/U is a Fifth Wheel. And yes a Four Wheel Drive is a must have and a Six Speed Allison Automatic Trans. And if you get stuck or break down, just call AAA Club. And if towing a Trailer it must be Tandem Axels... And a broken brake drum does not stop you, but ruins the fuel MPG. A scooter in the trailer is great for getting around at the fairgrounds... Or get to help. Just a few ideas... tjl
I learned, or rather, RE-learned a hard lesson about leather gloves at a crash i responded to last year. Exam gloves go on, THEN put leathers over the top. Really bad crash scenes have lots of broken glass and twisted metal. Derp.
Don`t get me wrong, you have made your experience, but I think it would be more important telling which is the target audience for this build than telling your life story. This Build is clearly not for someone having a 9to5 in a city, where you wouldn`t need a food supply in your car. I really prefer the video by Dirty Civilian becaus it`s a complete tear-down, opening everything up, showing it and giving everything at least one purpose None the less, I really enjoy content like this, Best greetings from Germany!
I'm lost on the aluminium releasing gases, there is a lot of hype about this but in a dire emergency it can't hurt. Could you guys do a video on escaping a car in a river, seen a few myth buster things ages ago, but nice to hear from people who are more likely to end up in a river in a car. Great videos guys
The number 1 cause of vehicle breakdowns are engine and tire related failures. Disregarding tires, because those are easy fixes, most engine failures are a result of electrical system failures. Starters, alternators, battery's, ignition system, etc. I was an 88 Mike in the ARNG for a short time. I believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. For the last ten years I've been developing an engine that is over 80% efficient and only has two moving parts. No electrical system needed at all, and it will run on any flammable liquid. Within 3 years it will be available on the market.
Great information in this video. Storing a lot of these items in my vehicle is difficult living in Las Vegas. The temperature in my vehicle reaches 140 plus degrees in the summer. It tends to destroy almost everything I store inside. Very frustrating. Thank you for your time.
Karls voice is more cracked and sounds older than Randys. You can see the effect of the time after deployments. Less shouting and all that fixes your throat lol.
Do you carry this gear all the time, or on long road trips where you might encounter some stretches of nowheresville? I carry some when daily driving to and from work.
I really like this channel but this is without a doubt the least informative video I've ever seen about how to setup a bag; just do a search on setting up a bugout bag, daily carry bag, etc and you'll find much better videos that go into detail and show you everything in the bag without getting sidetracked with useless war stories/commentary.
I've always keep my vehicles clear of any visible items because any crackhead will break into your vehicles if they see a bag inside. It doesn't matter if there's anything in that bag or not, they don't care because they have nothing to lose and all to gain for breaking into vehicles with items left visible inside. I had one neighbor lose about $7,000.00 worth of weapons he left in his truck at night instead of securing them inside his house; the local PD and ATF had a field day with him with paperwork, fortunately he had the proper credentials for those weapons. About a year later he accidently fired his AR15 from his unit into mine one Sunday afternoon. The round went though four walls and a refrigerator before landing a few inches from my feet on my couch. Since he's an ex-Marine, works with the local fire department and police department, the judge dismissed the case as an accident after he spent about $10,000.00 in court costs.
I love your video's but it seems in every video featuring Randy (Rawhide) Wurst where he is supposed to be showing (teaching) us what to carry in our vehicle when he gets to the good stuff like a bag stuffed with goodies we will need he says , "I'm not going to get into it." It frustrates the shit out of me.
This is the closest to my own setup that I've seen here on RUclips. However, ditch the cook stove bs. Get S.O.S Survival rations that are tons of calories packed into dense biscuits. They last for 5 years or more in your pack, they’re light weight, and you don’t need to cook them. Cook stoves weigh ounces, ounces add up to pounds, pounds equal pain.
Can anyone share a list of a few foods that are well suited for vehicle survival packs? I live in the south, and cars get really, really hot here during the summer, and they can get pretty warm in the winter as well. :P I'm thinking stuff like granola or energy bars would be a little worse for the wear after being constantly reheated. Of course, if necessary, I could always just pack food if I was planning on going on a long trip.
Toby & Jenny I don't think this is about bugging out and trying to get away survival stuff. This is geared towards surviving an accident, getting lost or any other situation where you want to be found by others.
cant keep anything of value in visible site as petty theft from vehicles is rampant here from our drug epidemic. i mean zombie epidemic. but i do keep several of the items you mention under my seats,,, in spare tire compartment,,, glove box and door pockets.your whole truck would be stolen within 48 hours in this town. sad times and worse to come.
Depends. I live in the north in the country. If i crash on a lonesome road out in night during winter, if im not prepped to deal with it, odds are i die.
I appreciate all your knowledge but would strongly suggest that if you’re doing a video on survival gear you really need to put in the effort to show everything that’s in your gear. Saying “I’m not gonna tear things apart” is the opposite of the purpose of this video. It’s lame. Don’t do a 50% effort. Do 100% or nothing as there are lots of videos where guys are willing to show everything.

No point in tearing it apart? You're showing gear and won't show the actual gear? Might as well make this a pod cast and cut the video out.
