Fantastic video. Thank you. I would love to see a video on how your presenters setup their bikes to ensure the constant flow of new bikes are going to work for them. I (and many riders I know) obsess over saddle position, reach...moving things a few mm at a time until things are dialed in. Your presenters are riding new bikes all the time and doing big rides on them where there's no room for error in setup or injuries could result. Thanks for your consideration.
I don't even watch any biking content but am into ultra hiking, so these kind of videos are very enyojable to watch, would love some more content like this.
If you like this kind of content then you have to check out the "impossible routes" of the vegan cyclist. Amazing stuff. And don't worry, he does not promote veganism on his channel - he just lives that way. Cool guy.
You have to see Vegan Cyclist’s latest impossible route video! As is the habit in the US, the route absolutely gnarly and over the top. If you love this video, you’ll love the 35 hour non-stop that gravel odyssey.
We need a Behind The Scenes video. How/who is following you guys on these great rides. The edits are slick, the wide, filler and drone shots are great. Big up to GCN-BTS!
Simon's composure post-ride is always something to behold. He may no longer be a professional, but his attitude is something all pro's should strive to achieve. You're a great rider, Simon.
Weird timing on this vid. I did the KAW over 3 days, with bike bags/sleeping out and loved it. Was just talking to someone, only yesterday, about the 1 hit attempt. Amazing route
@@gcn possibly one of the finest routes I have done. Great mix of surfaces. Lots of historical landmarks. Plenty of places to eat and drink. And the odd farmer's field to bivvy in...
Knewal, I agree, with Si's presentation making me want to jump on a plane and do the ride in a day. I used to think the same about distance, 20k seemed a long way. But after bouts of injury and ill health I decided the couch wasn't the place to be. Building up over a couple of years, this Southern summer just gone, I completed East West traverses over two major passes in New Zealand's Southern Alps. 290Km in 15hours and 215km in 11hours respectively. Watching Si I could relate to his comments but also given I'm 61 year's old and a quarter of a century older, I also felt a bit smug that I could have paced him. Certainly I didn't complain as much, but then I had nobody to complain to, no camera, no support crew. He caught the highs and lows, and the need to feed beautifully. Kudos!
GCN does a good job with product placement. Not loud enough to turn you off, but in focus enough to please the sponsors. I imagine the revenue from your eyeballs as the product (i.e. the money RUclips pays to GCN for attracting viewers) is a small fraction of the product-placement revenue. I'm guessing that if you "like" the video, GCN gets even more money from RUclips. So if you like the "free" content, be sure to "like" it!

It’s brilliant seeing the similarity between the two in these longer adventures and the ‘I just need to get this done’ attitude when everything is being pushed. It’s what it is all about.
