I went to my local gas station today( it's had multiple different owners throughout the years), and they put out a whole knife case. I love collecting knives and always carry one on me for self-protection due t9 having knives pulled on me before and watching someone get stabbed before. Anyways, i saw them, and the one i wanted was 20 dollars. I then remembered i had about 100 dollars in my bank account and decided against it so i can get Stellar Blade instead.
We need more of you ladies speaking up for games. I've been playing since I was 4, mashing buttons on the NES. I owe my life and my marriage to gaming since I met my wife on the dreamcast game PSO. They don't wanna hear from the OG fan base anymore, stating that were every ist and ism in the book. Not true, we just want to see our best childhood friend, taken out back and beaten by the very mob of people. Who used to bully us in school, now claiming they are "cool gamers".

If the existence of beautiful people makes anyone "unalive" themselves, then I daresay those people needed treatment long before a video game finally drove them to it.

I stopped going to IGN years ago after they skewered Alien Isolation in their review. They were so disingenuous and wrong in that review that it caused me to lose all trust in them.
Hello , i'm French born and i even find the translation a bit watered down, for example in the end the writer said "Des hommes biberonnés aux patriarcat" (something like that) and it was translate by "Fed by patriarchy"; the French version is so much more condescending as "biberonné" means baby bottle fed etc, first time i heard about this guy and i didn't even know ign France even existed before all the (legit) complaints about him. 🙂
I've just read the modified review of fhe demo and the apologies and explanations are very very laughable at least and genuinely hypocritical; the usual "things have been taken out of context and misinterpreted wrongly litteraly" but they weren't any sub context or hidden humour etc at all, ign France even doubled it down with other bs about women taking their life or being beaten because they can't please men who stick to videogames design of feminity which is in reality "impossible" (it's what he said). (Personnaly, i know that most of men are very very inclined to date/have X with girls under their own league, as we easily find "cute - pretty - ok" as most are already happy to get a girlfriend, so the "men want perfect features or they will beat you"...came from a typical "i'm never wrong, i never admit, i never apologise type of guy" The problem with the unedited versin was that the writer get a lot of things wrong, like about the character designer, and first of all about the character Eve herself as she is modelled from a real model with BIGGER BREAST as the devellopers smallered them in the game...and Now in the modified version as super hypocritical as they are, they are trying to change completely what they (supposed to) meant and try to look like they care about the real life model by saying that the bad chara design doesn't reflect her real beauty by adding superficials things on her...(Maybe the soft manga look but why complaining here and not the same in FF XV faces for example) It is just straight lies 😆

i always say "let the market decide" not politics or journalists. Considering issues caused by IGN licensees, it seems they have very little control over them, and i'd understand why IGN wants to separate themselves from IGN france. mcdonalds has strict rules that must be maintained at locations to retain their license, i'm guessing IGN doesn't have that style agreement.

Yes but their narcissism makes them believe that their specific brand of hate is actually for the betterment of humanity. If they weren't so self-absorbed they might understand that the toxic people they're so obsessed with abolishing is themselves. It's a special kind of ignorance that allows someone to be welcomed into a cultural space, proceed to tell everyone that was already there that they're awful and need to change, create problems that didn't need to exist, tank products and industries left and right, contribute to hate and mass layoffs, and still believe that everyone but themselves is the problem.
All of these "journalist" outlets have been tanking, or in other words they've already been cancelled. They continue to stay afloat with outside revenue coming from people who ultimately are targeting western culture. They keep these places operational to try and make people believe their ideas are mainstream and that we're the odd ones out, but don't ever believe that, this garbage is wildly unpopular to the large majority of people. It's not just games, it's comic books, movies, shows, news media; they're all compromised, we just need to hold the line and continue telling them to go f**k themselves.
Hollywood is having the same issues as the games industry. These movies also fail spectacularly, like that all "realistic" female ghost busters disaster.

I think the gaming community would be better off without gaming journalism. It's little more than thinly veiled activism riddled with insults directed towards gamers and game developers who don't have the same insane ideology as they do! This is the kind of story that made the Streisand effect push Stellar Blade into one of the highest selling games of the year, although I'm going to bet even if it is it won't win, GOTY

Thank you for making this video, we need more of these type of videos, using common sense. Might I add that french is my native language. Everything traducted in english was spot on. Tbh, I personally am fed up with these movements that intend to change / cancel a game, or even push their agenda on every aspect of entertainments products. I do believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and yes, I do think they can voice it, BUT they should NEVER be able to impede it and change/cancel/censor/push their agenda on the creators's vision, be it video games, movies (or really any art form). Oh, they did plenty of complaining about Bayonetta, too. First she was too sexy. Then she “belonged” to the gays and it was bad that straight people liked her. It is a PlayStation exclusive after all and it is within their interests to keep a good relationshio with Sony. Don't wanna risk losing those fancy press kits and sweet review copies. But given how they protected the french editor, and tried their best to gaslight people before issuing an apology, and the guy still has his job even after rendering the apology pointless with his rant, pretty much makes it evident which side IGN is on, whether they acknowledge the french branch or not.

Eve pant are no different from real women wearing yoga pant going everywhere without feeling they are being sexualise at all. The character is also motion captured and modeled after a real woman too. I dont know what the problem is at all. People are just fond of creating drama and quarrels in life.

I studied 3 years of french in high school, the english translation caught all the nuances intended.
Other French speakers who are native or fluent in both said the same things that it was on point translating

Salut, enfait tu devrais tomber sur l'article modifié en première proposition en tapant "ign France stellar blade" (j'utlise chrome je crois normalement). Par contre l'article original n'est pas disponible. C'est que en tant qu'avis perso mais dans l'article original le rédacteur avait aimé la démo pour ce que c'est, un jeu vidéo qui n'essaie pas de t'influencer dans quelle idéologie que ce soit mais comme le jeu bad buzzait depuis longtemps pour son chara design "sexiste", il a essayé de soit se protéger d'aimer la démo, ou pire, d'avoir été conditionné à devoit critiquer négativement l'héroïne, le problème c'est que dans les 2 cas, pour se faire bien voir, il a essayé de le faire sur le dos du manager du jeu avec beaucoup de mépris et surtout en étant complètement à côté de la réalité des insinuations qu'il/(elle enfait parceque c'est signé équipe ign France sans nommé l'auteur/autrice. La deuxième polémique c'est le rédacteur en chef Erwan Fleuriel qui a soit défendu son test soit défendu celui de son/sa collègue mais vraiment en empirant la situation de façon débilèsque avec des arguments disproportionnellement faux genre type tu jettes un papier dans la mauvaise poubelle de recyclage papier/plastique = t'as tué un million d'arbres). Dans ce premier texte il y'avaient trois principals points erronnés rajouté inutilement qui insultait gratuitement le manager du jeu, je peux retrouver l'exact texte mais de mémoire c'était genre "Ouai le physique irréaliste de Eve a été créer par un homme qui n'a sûrement jamais "vu" de femme de sa vie" (genre un gros puceau misogine)
Déjà, la mannequin qui a servi à la capture existe bien merci pour elle et de ne pas nier son existence juste juste parceque beaucoup de monde l'a trouverai "belle"...en plus chacun ses goûts et perso c'est pas du tout mon délire mais si des gens aiment les grosses poitrines c'est leurs droits et paradoxalement la mannequin a eu sa poitrine amoindri dans le jeu. Le manager est mariée à une des graphistes et elle est plutôt jolie (je pense pour un gros pourcentage de gens) Elle est peut être même l'instigatrice de beaucoup de points artistique du personnage.

i always say "let the market decide" not politics or journalists. Considering issues caused by IGN licensees, it seems they have very little control over them, and i'd understand why IGN wants to separate themselves from IGN france. mcdonalds has strict rules that must be maintained at locations to retain their license, i'm guessing IGN doesn't have that style agreement.
Its a corporate cop out technique that's regularly used. IGN cannot distance themselves from it, nor can any other company employing similar methods.

Yes but their narcissism makes them believe that their specific brand of hate is actually for the betterment of humanity. If they weren't so self-absorbed they might understand that the toxic people they're so obsessed with abolishing is themselves. It's a special kind of ignorance that allows someone to be welcomed into a cultural space, proceed to tell everyone that was already there that they're awful and need to change, create problems that didn't need to exist, tank products and industries left and right, contribute to hate and mass layoffs, and still believe that everyone but themselves is the problem.

All of these "journalist" outlets have been tanking, or in other words they've already been cancelled. They continue to stay afloat with outside revenue coming from people who ultimately are targeting western culture. They keep these places operational to try and make people believe their ideas are mainstream and that we're the odd ones out, but don't ever believe that, this garbage is wildly unpopular to the large majority of people. It's not just games, it's comic books, movies, shows, news media; they're all compromised, we just need to hold the line and continue telling them to go f**k themselves.

Tbh, I personally am fed up with these movements that intend to change / cancel a game, or even push their agenda on every aspect of entertainments products. I do believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and yes, I do think they can voice it, BUT they should NEVER be able to impede it and change/cancel/censor/push their agenda on the creators's vision, be it video games, movies (or really any art form). I'm a firm believer that any political party should stay out of the creation process of someone else's work, NOT one should be allowed.
Yeah, if Sweet Baby Inc or Black Gamer Girl or whatever groups want to make their game, they obviously should be allowed to do that (How is Forspoken faring btw ?), but it shouldn't be allowed to attack someone else's vision, to pressure into cancelling one's work. I want to precise that video games (and art in general) can have political themes, because 1) it's a take on what goes on in the world, 2) free speech and 3) it makes you think, simple as that, it develops your critical thinking and finally 4) it's called fiction for a reason, you create what you want to talk or not talk about. So if SBI or BGG want to do it, be my guest, but stay out of others creations ffs.
And btw, what's happening with this double standard, have they never seen how men are depicted in video games ? Do you think realistic that these fictional characters have 56 abs, of which 5 of them are on their arm ? Do you not know how men can be hypersexualised too ? Eve pant are no different from real women wearing yoga pant going everywhere without feeling they are being sexualise at all. The character is also motion captured and modeled after a real woman too. I dont know what the problem is at all. People are just fond of creating drama and quarrels in life.
