@@spiffjiff05 Yew!!! I managed to get a 5'4 Bobby Quad and my buddy grabbed a 5'4 G-Skate. we are planning to do a swap mid session but not sure we will have waves. :( fingers crossed. 🤞
Yeah - the initial clip C.I put out had them surfing in Hawaii in some decent waves, and it does seem to hold it’s own when waves get a little bigger/better ✌️
Hi Craig. If you get a chance can you talk about the difference the trailer fin makes in boards like this? When you would use it, when you wouldn't, how it changes the feel of this board etc. Thanks
would love a comparison if you can find one that has the right amount of foam for you! i'm also 5'10" and 87kg so I'm curious about what dims and volume are best
This seems pretty spot on to be honest! The more I've surfed it, it has been working! If you want it as a groveller, you might want to add thickness...
I’ll give it a go, but having ridden the very similar (in the backend) MTF, it struggled as a pure twin and almost didn’t go forwards… 😂 But will see how this goes!
Looking for some advice. I’m an intermediate-ish surfer. 5’6 and about 180-185lbs. Looking to buy a stock 6’0 with 38L or a 6’2 with 41L. Would this be a good board to add to the quiver? I travel often and need a good all around board that isn’t too difficult to lug around.
Hey! I haven’t surfed a RNF Since about 1999, but I think this is much straighter through the rails/outline than the RNF… so, I think they’re pretty different.
This is our “Initial Thoughts” which is kind of an intro to the board. I’ll surf and film it over the next month or so and we’ll put out the full review. With surf footage ✌️

Sweet looking board but I’m very skeptical of the whole “high-performance-step-up-groveller” concept…be like if you were a golfer and bought an all-in-one golf club marketed as being: “great as a driver or as a putter” Idk maybe the board rips-I’m looking forward to the full review (your reviews are fantastic)

@@tadashiyoshida3674 hahaha! All good! No dramas with a script, but if the “review” is attached to a shop or the brand, where’s the independence in that?
It paddles okay because it's so wide up the nose. It's a long fish but not as wide. They don't go because there isn't enough rocker and the tail starts from all the way up near the nose. The tail overall is too long. The rails are too soft. What happened to hard rails? They go in good waves like the vids in Mexico and and at Rocky Point, but in Australia slop no way. Getting sick of this standard single-to-double concave crap (with minuscule vee) when channels into flyers (or belly channels) go so much better.
Great vid! 👏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
Might have to give this board a go. Thing looks sick and the G bro's kill it on this board. thanks for the insight.
Yeah it’s worth checking out! Still feeling it out, and will have the full review with surfing footage etc shortly ✌️
CI demo van at Katins in surfside, plenty of gskates to demo. Trying one out tomorrow.

The vid's I've seen, they are just going mental on this board. It's crazy to watch!!!

Hey! Will do, but I wouldn’t ride this without the Centre fin. I remember trying to ride my MTF as a pure twin, and it barely went forward… 😂
board goes insane. turns on a dime and gets in early. super fun board
You own one?
Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff mate! Keep rocking! 🤙🤙
Thanks ✌️
Great work, are you planning to review hayden shapes new wave mid cheers
No, not at present! Just got a HS Virtue, and have a Holy Hypto coming!

be interesting to see how this goes with upright keels or the brit merrick twins , without the trailer, the board looks awesome, bring on the review

But will see how this goes!
Will you try the fins the G Boys designed for this board?
Maybe - C..I had none, so I’ll see if I can even get some…
Would love you to try a few " 2+1 " set ups, to see what you recommend.
Will do - though I'm loving the AMT's!

go smaller dude
What size/how much foam are you currently riding? The sizes you’re suggesting sound a bit big to me…
Hey Craig, is the G skate bit of the same thing as a RNF 96? Outline looks basically the same.
Good question… thought the same
Yes mebe hypto too?

I’m 5’11 87kg and low end of intermediate. Looking at 5’10 or 6’0, what are you thoughts?
Don't be afraid to go custom! I feel the stock dims are a little long/thin...
Great review been thinking about a G-Skate but at 98kg am stuck on size.
How tall? I'd say unless you're like 6'2, go custom and get it shorter/wider.
@@TheSurfboardGuide dead on 6ft.
What size were you thinking?
If you’re surfing at an intermediate + level, I’d try go custom to get the volume you want in around a 5’9.
Need footage.

Are you sure its not a bit too small for you man?
Yeah, but the proof will be in the full review with a bit of surf footage…
its better for long line boys, siick board for catching into waves to long lines and catch mini kicks. love from Indo
Mini kicks?
