Tim curry is definitely the most memorable pennywise. But Bill skarsguard took what curry did and made it more creepier! I can't wait untill the sequel to see what skarsguard does to outdue his first performance.
Personally, Bill's was more aesthetically pleasing design wise. The voice though, if killed the movie for me. He sounded too funny, but I love his design and enjoyed the movie. But due to the voice I have to give it up to Tim Curry's. I was genuinely scared of him for the longest time until I became older. If the 2017 one was the one that was I was younger. I probably would have gotten over my fear much faster, and probably would have forgotten about it. Though I would have came back and enjoyed it, rather than stay in fear for years.
Overall i think Bill Skarsguard did a decent job. But i didn't find him that scary and frankly i think the movie depended too much on Jump Scares. Maybe Tim Curry wasn't all that scary. But i found his Pennywise to be more menacing, intimidating and with a lot more personality.
I bet I'm gonna get a lot of crap from this but in my opinion Tim curry pennwise is much scarier then the new one just because he looks so much like a normal clown and who looks he party's a lot and a clown you can trust to take a balloon while the new penny wise is much darker looking of course and not a clown you want to get a balloon from
Strange, I didn't had trouble with the head pegs, but I agree that the standing isn't the easiest, this figure and the 2017 one (had trouble standing that as well) should have come with a base due the wieght and height. Still, that doesn't take away any of the amazing work and detail that was put on these figures. Love both of them.
Just got my figure, and the only complaints I have relate to the difficulty in swapping out heads (hot water gets them back on) and getting him to stand up. With a little effort, both can be handled. That aside, it's an AMAZING figure! So, so cool looking. I'm astounded Neca included 4 heads. They're all so good. Plus, the monster hands are a fun touch too. A lesser company would have made four separate figures for each head. Kudos to Neca for including so much at a low price. I believe Randy Faulk even said they were losing money on this particular figure. I can see why. I'd say it's my favorite Neca figure of the year, even better than 2017 Pennywise.
Got both Pennywise, love the 1990 because reminds me THAT awesome TV movie, with the amazing spider, great memories. And love the 2017 one because is freaking scary. Both Pennywise are great , each one in its time, for sure. Cheers Spot !!!!!!!

I agree-Georgie’s boat should have been plastic. What a great figure! I loved the Tim Curry Pennywise. That’s a lot of freakin balloons! Good thing he can hold them all. Love the interchangeable heads. The noisemaker seems useless. The colors in his costume pop and have nice texture but as Spot said they aren’t too bright in some areas. Cool double swivel in the arms and great articulation in the legs. Awesome job on this review Spot! Thanks again!
Unfortunately when I removed the head that the figure comes with already on broke and I had to glue the hair back on due to the ball peg, however I’m really happy with the figure.

I'm annoyed that of all the 7 balloons, two of them are yellow while the others are different colours -_- I've thought about Painting one of the yellow ones pink because in The library scene, you can see pink balloons falling with the others onto richie but then again I don't want to spoil anything

Its the neck...on 1990 version the neck is sculpted to the head. 2017 the neck is sculpted to the body... You're right though the weight and size of the hair is the reason they sculpted it to the head.
I really loved this review. I really laughed when you were greatful about the figure having 4 head sculpts and then ur all like, Buuuuuuuuuut... I would like a regular smiling head sculpt as well, and somewhere there's a few people who work for Neca, thinking "Damn people, never freaking satisfied." 🤣

I’m an it and PENNYWISE fanatic because of the original TV movie. But then I read the book. Even better. So the remake comes out and I loved that as well. (Although a lot of the CGI is horrid) I have Tim curry PW tattooed on me as well. Last year we were lucky enough to meet him and take a picture with him. Even my 1 1/2 year old meet him. Just a heads up go and Facebook and look up “penny wise : the story of it documentary coming out’ I’m featured in it as a mega fan. This figure is incredible and I still cannot believe we got one all these years later. Hence why NEVA ruled for the price

I can't wait for Scream Factory to release the BluRay rerelease disc of Creepshow! Hopefully it comes with the deleted scenes like in the UK release. I need those special features in region 1!

Had this figure for a few weeks now but I've yet to been able to swap out his head. Every time I try it feels like the hair is going to come off. So I end up just leaving it alone.

Putting on the heads is difficult, taking them off is anxiety inducing cause then you feel you might pull the hair right off the head

Hey man, after you get the balloons in his hand twist the white wires around a bit that helps ...great video! This is probably my favorite Neca figure
I twisted all my balloons together first. Then just slid them right into the hand...that worked good also
