Great footage and skills... absolute genius with the straps. You should have patented that idea because you are onto a winner there. Definitely stealing that one🤣
Thx buddy 👍 simple idea inspired by thunder rc's video on the madlabz kit....unfortunately not available here in the UK so I made my own...really happy with how well it worked🙂
Great vid man. Pretty beast setup 👌. Xmaxx is the best hardcore basher. I think the only thing that can hang with it and maybe in my opinion 🤔 a little 💪💪👊👊. Is the maxx . Wish they would do a 7th scale same build
Thx buddy👍 yeah the xmaxx is one of the most durable rigs out there...I wish it would be faster out of the box though 😕 I would love to see a wide maxx kit for it. A 7th scale would be nice 👌 👍 🙂 Thx for watching.
Man nice runs with the Xmaxx. I recently got one and just did some tuning on suspension and trying the 50/20 gearing other than that everything stock. Later on would like to change out the electronics if it comes down to it. But loving the truck!
Thx buddy👍🙂 I've had mine over a year and kept it stock. I've had 20/50 gears initially but want a bit more speed. I love sending it. Check out my skatepark bash vids if you get 5 mins.🙂
Its good to see you got you gear situation figured out. What do you think about this car vs your outcast? I just picked up a x maxx finally. Haven't got to use it yet but i have a bunch of arrma cars and have been told the x maxx is supposed to be a lot of fun once its all set-up right.
Hi buddy. The xmaxx is a good rig if your new to the 8s scene. It's very forgiving if you you don't land right. It is a little underpowered out if the box but allows you to home in your skills. The outcast is my favourite but you have to land on all fours or it will break. I've had my xmaxx for 3yrs and only broke 1 arm in that time. Of course you have to upgrade the gears on the xmaxx.
@inspiredrc that's kind of what I'm hearing from people so far. I own 3 arrma kraton and outcast 1/5 scale plus 2 1/8 scale. All of my arrma stuff is way overpowered. Over the 4 years I've owned them i got really lucky with them. I had a chance to pickup a brand new x maxx roller got a full m2c beefcake kit for it. I hope with the right upgrades and parts it should live a good life of getting beat on. I enjoy hearing people's feed back that own both traxxas and arrma rc.
@@inspiredrcI just got my first xmaxx as well and got the light kit. I was looking at cutting the rear bumper out for the tail light but then I thought, “wonder if they make a big Velcro strap to keep the body on” 😂. Glad I found your video cause it’s even better than what I had in mind. What gears do you recommend upgrading to and how’s the body straps held up for ya?
@G__Mason hi buddy. Congrats on your xmaxx. I've been running gds harden steel pinion and spur. I've tried all sorts of gear ratios. I think with the stock system I'd go 19/46 or 20/50. The light kit has been bang on installed in the bumpers. I did add a couple of cap head screws either side of the rear light to give it some protection. By far the best mod has been the elastic straps to hold the body on. The body can come dislodged but has never come off.
@@inspiredrc hell yeah man, I appreciate you taking the time to respond and all the advice. I’ll grab some GPM gears, I just seen you did a video on installing the light in the bumper. I might have to give that a shot cause I really don’t wanna reconnect it all the time lol. Thanks brotha!
Like your innovative body straps. A couple of the nose landings would have broke or bent something in the Arrma metal chassis lineup. That's why I keep my Kraton and notorious close to the ground even on jumps. Use them more for speed. My Xmaxx I don't bash high either because just like driving the big guy. Do hit some smaller jumps like I do with the arrmas. The Hoss and rustler 4x4 and typhon 3s are my, if something breaks it's cheaper to fix. Lol thanks for tue vid. And I didnt know stock it was shoe goo'd. Lmbo. Jk. It is easier to shoe goo the traxxas vehicles. My notorious had SO many crooks and crevices.
Thx buddy...I do like sending the arrmas and xmaxx high but if you don't land them then its going to be heavy on the wallet. I goto say you get alot of satisfaction landing them.... I wished traxxas would do some updates to the xmaxx. The body is too flimsy stock. I had to do something. Everything else is stock on the rig. I do like just ripping it but it doesn't make for good videos unfortunately 😔 check out my other bashing vids with 8s arrmas as well if you get 5mins. 👍
@@inspiredrc the main part I had to do and to keep from spending over 100 on a chassis is bend the notorious rear back straight. Plastic chassis not even half that for the same size. I had to sale my motorcycle due to disabilities and got back into the hobby. And I hate it but after getting the xmaxx 4 months ago found that when I take it out to run is getting heavier each time. May think of selling it, 2x4s batteries, good tires on, spare new xmaxx tires and proline badlands. Has a hot racing spur and a tekno pinion. Not sure if you know but the tekno pinions have 2.5mm grub heads to torque down better keeping it from slipping. They really should have upgraded the spur and pinion for 8s when they started the 8s moniker. First run with 8s stripped all but 5 combined teeth on stock spur and pinion combined. Now have the right type steele. Not composite pessed mixed crud. Lol.
@@tonysmith7989 dude the traxxas gears are junk...can't get hold of the tekno pinions in the UK so after much searching and testing I ended up with gds gears. Now its all good 👍 I like the traxxas wheels on the stock system. Don't like how the foams fail and not the tires. I have got a soft spot for the 1/6 1/5 scales. When I pull it out of the car at bashes people know I'm serious, stop to see them in action...always get a crowd. I love how I get to relive my childhood when I'm bashing 👍🙂 This hobby has been a welcome break with this pandemics and lockdowns going on.

Thx dude! Its a simple idea but is really effective. Definitely worth doing buddy 👍 🙂
That should certainly help keep it held on! Nice that it is super cheap also!
Thx brother. Its a simple but effective idea 👍🙂
Man, you have all the big toys ! Cool sends man
Thx bro 👊 👍🙂
Great run buddy! That double backflip was almost clean! Lol
Thx bars. I haven't got enough run up in that car park to get the height....doesn't mean I won't stop trying. Lol.
Thx for watching buddy.👍
That body mod is so nice work like a charm
Dude I'm really happy with it. Not had any issues with it since doing the mod 🙂🙂
Great mod with the straps. Gonna do that on the maxx and xmaxx.
Thanks

@@inspiredrc Sure will
You should pull that ramp back and try to land on that downhill part.
🤔 maybe...I may try it👍

I'm surprised it took them nose landings
Yeah me too bro...I guess its traxxas tough! I checked it over when I got home and it was OK.
