The sprinting animation is fine, but the running animation looks like your character is on a Sunday stroll rather than trying to actually go somewhere with a purpose. Same with the crouching. The crouching more says "Boo, I scared you" rather than actually having a purpose. 🤣
you're right on the money. the old animations looked like your character has more urgency. the new animations aren't bad necessarily with very few tweaks it could be good. I will say I wish they made it at least reminiscent of the og jog.. the shoulder bounce and everything has become iconic I really don't want them to remove everything that makes fortnite fortnite..
How many red pill videos did you have to watch to the point of saying saying “with purpose” so many times than you needed to
The main problem with it for me is that in creative if you take out your shotgun it goes to the old movement, and you stutter and slow down, so it makes fighting really janky

i swear day one when i held down w and a or w and d my character would move sideways only it was so weird. one annoying glitch i get in ranked at least once a day i will get into a vehicle and it teleports me to it's center then u cannot drive any vehicles the rest of the game or use any throwable items. one of my held items will break too usually where i cant reload it or the car glitch gives me maximum ammo of all types and any time i pick up ammo it actually TAKES AWAY from my ammo(going down instead of up) lmao if many more people experience this they might disable cars for a while.. oof

Surprisingly, I adapted to the new movement very quickly, and since they made forward walking a bit slower I fail less edits then before
It feels like im sliding in mud. I cant get used to it. Especially with building, sidejumps and retakes are impossible now. I dropped out of comp until they fix it.

guys dont touch the strafe angle keep it at 90 dont lower or higher it or u will move so weirdly
Forward diagonal angle: 30

fortnite since day 1 have always replaced things that never should of been but this is by far the worst i play controller so i just have to put up with it without suiting it to my own needs building and even editing sucks compared to before and it definitely shouldn't be long term i only think the animation is ok bcs it looks like it would work for lego fn but after this szn it needs to go

it feels weird for me when i only push a or d that with this setting he strafe forward
For me when I tap a key or d key to stafe sometimes it stops strafing and I have to retap a key or d key I can't fix it its not my keyboard because I tried multiple keyboard and I'm on console

0:19 why change the running animation to a jogging animation? Its so bad. It ruins clips, looks weird when shifting from pickaxe from guns and just ruins pickaxes in general when holding it out and running

This is bad advice for double movement settings. There is literally no reason to change these at all. Your strafe angle should be set at 90 so that when you strafe behind cover you are actually able to strafe back to your starting position without being blocked off because of your initial strafe angle. The forwards diagonal movement is there to make strafing faster when needed- codelife has advised different settings without any explanation why. I assume people have reccomended this because when you strafe, it will be faster after a second when your strafe angle is below 90- but this was the same case before the update aswell- and thats why you use the diagonal strafe for the faster strafe movement when needed. And for the record the strafe speed is the same when you are spraying either way. This was useless advice for novice players without any explanation

I sometimes walk forward or backward when I’m looting a chest it’s like it’s not in my control of when I start doing it… anyone else have this problem?

Hated the movement when it came out, but its starting to feel natural and the game feels more fluid tbh, its slower, but for me thats a good change, they need to slow the game down a bit, everything is too fast. But also they should slow down the storm, ts fucked. I would like to see them change the normal running animation, the upper body looks super stiff.
I don’t mind it I just feel like building is slightly delayed which is throwing me off

The running foward animation isint good in my opinion thats probably the worst part about the new movement update. the running side to side and crouching arent my favorite. cant say i like this update.

This season is the worst of all time, Asides of the battle pass and the map, The new movement is horrible because it was meant to be "Realistic" In a fucking Fortnite, "To make the game feel alive they have to update it" Yeah not in a gameplay way, In a season way obviously, "Just get used to it" Getting used to it isn't gonna cure shit, They have never changed the movement since 2017 and they start ruined this streak because they wanted to focus on a dumb thing which doesn't describe as a Fortnite game, And we'd still want the old movement back unless if people are infact deranged, I hate when developers focus on unrequested things than on the important parts of the game, I am not a fan of the new movement, But what annoyed me is the speed, I swear to God, This season is fucking boring due to the crappy speed, I'm pissed people are defending this, Franchieses and Video games should focus on their theme not on quantity.
