No idea why this is being recommended to me, but this is the first time I'm hearing about this movie that came out two years ago
You're not the only one
"Bond villain" that was perfect!
They did show the whole movie in this trailer. Not the best marketing Idea!!
Think I'll just rewatch the original.
When you say original do mean Steve Martin or Spencer Tracy which is the actual original
Can't they just let the "Title Father of the Bride rest" the original Father of the Bride is special to alot of us. Couldn't they just call it something else..
So they shouldn't have made the sequels?
With a few tweaks this could easily be its own movie. I think it would even be fine to say that it is "inspired by" the classic family comedy Father of the Bride. But there's no need to actually Remake it Again. It sets these lovely actors, their crew, admin and all their hard work up to fail. That's not fair to any of them or to us as the public. We walk in to their film comparing it to at least 2 other works whether we intend to or not.
I was just going to say that it looks like it sucks.
Who is on the video cover?
The 1991 Father of the Bride was itself a remake...
At that one was funny
Was it, though?
Andy Garcia and Gloria Estafen❤🎉
like trying to replace Steve Martin is pretty impossible. It's a shame, who knows it could be ok, however, the trailer was as snooze. I feel like if you can feel the green screen in a trailer, they haven't put the effort in at all.
This is a remake of a remake. You're an idiot.
Well, Steve Martin wasn't much of a replacement for Spencer Tracy, so , you know - what goes around comes around.
@w0rdsandp1ctures 🤔 Idk. I found Steve Martin charming in his own way. I've seen both the 1950 and 1991 and they're both wonderful but I still prefer the 1991's version. This newer version was ok.
This looks cute!
that's rat shit when they show almost the whole movie in one trailer.
A shame. A lot of talent involved. But it looks dreadful.
Dreadful, as marriages are, by principle .... so: appropriate, I reckon. 😁
that father acting all Mafioso
It looks absolutely dreadful.
This is A smack in the face of the original father of the bride
Which one? The original or the remake?
@@profkei1423 The original Was the best. The remake did a good job for the time period. This looks to be horrible. Like they didn't try to find good actors This should be on the Hallmark Channel
@@shawnguinup6971On the Hallmark Channel 🤣🤣🤣
Huh? Another remake???
It's a remake of the 1991 remake .....
Enough “modern” remakes. Just do something original already
I can tell which is the wimp in the relationship already.
Yes, You.
@@nntflow7058 Nice try....but we know that YOU are the b i t c h in your relationship.
Take the name off the movie. This is not FATHER OF THE BRIDE.
Is this supposed to be a comedy? Because all I saw was a good man and a loving father repeatedly being disappointed to find that the woman he raised died and was replaced by a stranger. Don't get me wrong, I fully expect them to shoehorn in some BS that makes him realize his daughter becoming a modern woman is somehow better than her being a traditional woman because it's Hollywood but I don't think that'll be funny or genuine (or well written) either.
What?
I read this comment before watching the trailer and bro? You’re insane
@@Jakejakejakejakejake Now watch the trailer and discover I'm right.
Nope... \m/
Ah yes, the idea that every remake these days can't just have white characters, ya know because that's what the 1991 version had. No, it's gotta be "diverse" now. I have a good idea. STOP REMAKING MOVIES. Come up with some new ideas. I know....go to a library!! They have these things called books. FULL of stories. Check it out sometime.
I know, right? How dare anyone make a movie with non-white characters.? How dare some people try to rectify the racism of the movie industry? Shame!!! You're an idiot.
Why is White people get offended soo easily today?
no one asked for this.
oh, the woke version. no thanks
Yet another CLASSIC movie, RUINED by "today's" woke inclusive bullshit. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
If they wanted to make something somewhat "special" out of this, they should've had Andy Garcia (1 of my favorite actors, who deserves MUCH better than this) as a Cuban gangster, who tells the "kids" this how it's gonna be & goes on to scare the shit out of everyone. 😎😎😎
Not another offended White people.....
Wow, no wonder nobody likes you
It's like if you took everything out of the original that made it good and just put 2022 with "minoritys". This is ah ah cringe right here.
