It is place of peace not of loneliness, it is where you can get balance back in your life. Everyone needs a reset from the busy , crazy world now and then.
That's why I've been building dens on my homestead from the land's clay, hay and timbers. I started out offering a couple of belltents for guests, but totally offgrid and no WiFi. It was only market research to see if it's worth building for guests. I was really surprised how so many yearned for the solitude and escape from their regular lives. There's something very wrong in wider society....
I am watching your video from Transylvania (a great and large area in Romania). Thank you very much for showing your wonderful work! The hut is really nice, I like it. 😊 God bless you and your family! ❤
Hello my friend, can you tell anyone where you can be found if you go into the woods? It's quite a distance from where you live to the cabin, or do you have a tracking system with you so that they can find you? I think it's extremely important that people know where you are and that you can be found in an emergency. Imagine breaking your leg or injuring yourself with an axe? I wish you luck and all the best. Greetings from Germany - Walter 👍🏻
My opinion. 😌😊💯✔️
I confess, hat I just do not get it. These incredible people with amazing bush-craft and wood-craft skills. They build these wonderful places in the wilderness, and will stay there, alone for days, weeks at a time. Yet - for some unknown reason - they seem to lack the simple intelligence when it comes to fire safety. There should be a fire blanket UNDER the stove, that runs to the wall behind the stove, UP the wall to the ceiling - and all around both the stove-pipe AND the stove-pipe EXIT where it is cut through the wall. And there should NEVER be wood piled up close to the stove. I grew up in a logging camp on the NE Coast of Vancouver Island, BC (Canada) in the 1950s and '60s - and EVERYthing was wood. Our houses, the boardwalks, the fences - everything. Our stoves were all wood stoves of one type or another - all cast-iron. My family had a giant sawdust burner for a cook-stove in the kitchen - and a stand-alone Benjamin Franklin fireplace in the living-room to heat the rest of the house. A new stove was installed every so often - and the pipes were disassembled every year and cleaned of soot & ashes. And EVERY SINGLE TIME - a new fire blanket was put on the floor - with four brings to raise the stove even farther from the floor. Then the fire blanket was run from under the stove - to the wall behind the stove - up the wall to the ceiling. And also a layer or two around the inside of the exit hole - and a layer around the stove-pipe where it passed through the wall. And wood was NEVER piled near the stoves. EVER !!! In a situation where everything is done with wood - including the stoves - proper safety precautions should be taken. Both our stoves were two feet from the wall . . . and we STILL put fire blankets on the floor under the stoves, and up the wall to the ceiling. With old folks and children in the same WOOD houses - fire safety was a MAJOR concern. And fire safety needs to be more of a consideration - for these cabins and huts built out in the wilderness. Really.
Thanks 🙏🙏 you
I liked your video and think your a true Bushman and a great craftsman.

some cheap nylon garden\ bird netting would have been a better option than the birch logs to keep the roof moss in place, loving your videos
