    Companies need to secure their systems and data, if systems get compromised so they can get restored, and stop paying ransom. It should be illegal. Anyone caught paying a ransom should face justice as supporting crime/terrorism. Only that will stop or reduce these attacks, when they lose the financial appeal.

    Penelope on Criminal Minds ended up working for the Feds due to her dark web skills. Wouldn't suprise me if the Feds have people like him working with them. Any why not. It's a movie reference I know but in the real world I am sure this happens
