-是‘死亡铁路’上最著名的地点
-桥长约300米，是单道铁轨
-仍在使用之中
-因为一部大获‘7项’奥斯卡大奖的战争史诗片【桂河大桥】；所以广为人知！

"Death Railway"
- Also known as "Thai-Myanmar Railway"
- 415 km in length (304 km in "Thailand"; 111 km in "Myanmar")
- "Thai-Myanmar Railway" originally planned to be completed in 6-7 years
- Under the harsh coercion of the Japanese army, it took only 17 months to complete the 415- kilometer railway
- 16,000 Allied prisoners of war and 90,000 Asian laborers died here
- "Death Railway" gets its name from the horror death rate of building railroads!
- After World War 2 - "Thailand" government rebuild part, "Myanmar" part not repaired
- A total of 50 km can be used so far
"The Bridge on the River Kwai"
- is the most famous location on the 'Death Railway'
- The bridge is about 300 meters long and is a single track
- still in use
-Because of a war epic [The Bridge on the River Kwai] that won the '7' Oscar Awards; so widely known!
