My granny uses to tell us old story's around the fire in the house she lived with the lights off ,it was always a pleasure going to my grans house in dublin back in the early 80s all our faces glowing from the fire as we listened to the story's she told what I would do to go back to them days all old irish story's from the country, as she was from Co Wexford lovely woman god bless her ,thanks for theses story's, you tell them very well love the storm in the back ground too 🙂👍
@@Genesis-wo3dg thank you, it certainly was a memorable time in my life, I did try it once with my kids thinking it would turn out the same for them ,so one winter night here in dunlaoghaire with the wind blowing heavy rain hitting the window fire blazing lights off and a candle or two ,called them all in and said ok its ghost story time,, well I got a look that said, are you ok dad and they all just returned to whatever it was they were doing,, how times have changed 🙄
@@rappy9932 lol, I think a lot depends on age as well, and timing although yours sounds perfect! I used to tell my children stories to help them sleep each night. One night I was very busy and heard my 6 year old telling my 4 year old a colorful tale! It was beautiful to see her interest in telling her sister stories as well though! And good that you tried!
@@Genesis-wo3dg haha ahh sounds wonderful so nice ,well when I say my kids, one was 16 the other 14 and they were not having any of it ,just made me think ,well back in my day there were no pc gaming computers I think that might have a lot to do with it lol , there a bit older now and I don't try telling them any more lol
@@rappy9932 I agree completely! My children and I didn't have a television for several years, and I certainly watched their creativity blossom! But that's not to say they weren't spoiled with technology elsewhere like Grandma's! So all around I agree with you including about how much times have changed! Peace and blessings from Canada 🇨🇦 🙏✌❤
