- Golden Globe award-winner Kiefer Sutherland, Actor and Executive Producer of the highly anticipated “Designated Survivor”, from The Mark Gordon Company and ABC Studios and distributed internationally by eOne who co-own The Mark Gordon Company, joins the stellar line-up of Media Mastermind Keynotes on Monday 17 October.
Kiefer Sutherland recently starred in the critically acclaimed Fox drama, “24”, for which he has won a Golden Globe Award, an Emmy Award and two SAG Awards, for Best Actor in a Drama Series. The show has also won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for “Best Drama”. The eighth and final season of “24” aired on FOX in January 2010. The show has also enjoyed tremendous success overseas, making it one of the top shows airing internationally. “24: Redemption”, a made for television movie that bridges season six and season seven of the television series, aired on November 23, 2008. The television movie was nominated for five Emmy awards, including one for Sutherland for Best Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.
Up next, Sutherland will be seen as Tom Kirkman in ABC’s “Designated Survivor.” Sutherland will play a low-level cabinet member who is suddenly appointed President of the United States after a catastrophic attack during the State of the Union which kills everyone above him in the Presidential line of succession. The show will premiere in September 2016.

I just got into Designated Survivor 2 weeks ago. I wish I watched it when it first came out. But I am SO glad that I found it now. Season 2 right now. It's redefining my view on politics, the president and public services. THANK YOU Kiefer. Please do this for 10 years like you just mentioned. I cannot stop talking about Designated Survivor and Kiefer EVERYWHERE I go and to EVERYBODY I meet.
