I genuinely love how this guy fully went back to his roots by making weapons and tools out of the most random rock shaped solids and then using naturally generating rock shaped solids and sticks shaped solids whilst teaching not only craftsmanship but also some history. What a pleasant thing. Thank you sir.
@usvmchc2843 perhaps it was in reference to my extended vocabulary, as I had spouted several large words in accordance with what I was attempting to claim. I read too much fanfiction oml
@LavaBladez this videos really entertaining and you’re talented, i don’t like those videos that have too much going on or too much editing. This is perfect
I love that a lot of the history was explained on a more surface level in this one since it’s meant to appeal to an audience that is more familiar with Minecraft (a pretty young audience mostly)
Yea I liked that touch too. Its probably going to get quite a few people/kids interested in flitknapping/its history, or at leadt inteterested enough to look up some of the terms for more information. But theres still enough depth that people who already know can still enjoy the content, and all of the above can enjoy his work. Its the best of all worlds
@RomeNehring That does not mean every single person is 23. The age range of minecraft players is massive. If you actually look at the data they collected: 20% are under 15 43% are 15-21 So 63% of the player base is kids, teenagers, and 19-21 year olds. 21% are 22-30 15% are 30-65 0.5% are 65+ Those latter 3 is a huge range of ages so it increases the average a lot. But a majority of the playerbase, (63%) is still kids and teenagers
@RomeNehring I think the important part is that it opens the opportunity for anyone of any age to look deeper into it if the individual were so inclined. Not too shallow, not too deep, just very cool 👍
It's actually pretty fitting that the real version of the spear is better as a thrusting weapon, considering that's how the original is designed to work in-game!
Netherite is a metallic alloy, gold with some rust and impurities of other metal that makes a metal that is.. similar to the original netherite It don't exist anything Ike that
Just for apperancr wise, obsidans got the right colour but only when thick. When thinned out into a blade its more see-through. Black stained glass probably eould have the same issue. Flints more opaque, so closer texture but i think a lot of its too light in colour to pass as netherite. Theres def some rocks out there that would be a great colour and texture match tho, hes prob got something in his collection that'd be perfect
I had no idea you made long form videos as well. I stopped watching shorts as often so i havent seen a video of yours in a while and was missing it. This was amazing seeing so many different tools in use. I knew the rawhide shrunk but i had no idea you had to soak it for that long first, thats insane. Waterproofing im assuming is also important if you were using it for hunting, for fluids that occur eith that stuff. I mean it takes a long time to fully soak but preventing it from loosening at all is probably important. I knew the hand axes were sharp, but i think this is my first time seeing one used on wood rather than for cutting food. Its just amazing seeing them in action honestly. And your flintknapping is beautiful, i'm glad you take so much pride in your work bexause it is well deserved. Thank you for sharing with us, and im def going to check out more of your long form videos now that i've found them.
You'd need an extremely high temperature forge to create the correct alloy, since otherwise it'll form in the alpha phase instead of the beta phase of the alloy
Watching you work is so relaxing. Thank you for letting us peek over your shoulder to see how you make weapons out of pieces of glass or pieces of stone.
This video is so cool bro I haven't watched to the end hope you test it and if you dont test this by the end of video can you see how many layers you can go through
The sound of the glass shards falling is cartoonishly perfect. For a second I thought it was a sound effect lol. You have the equipment, you could record those glass sounds and make a solid SFX package! 💡
Y’know, I remember when I was younger I used to find sticks all over the floor and what I would do with the sticks was dig. And by dig, I mean blunt forcibly beating the ground till I made a Hole, I did this because I found doing that *(Not working smarter, working harder)* because I thought it was fun. But this technique that you use, chipping the rocks to make tools, I had my own techniques with sticks, and I still do I can analyze sticks and decipher if it’s a good strong one and if its old, or what type of tree it most likely came from, or where it probably was on the tree. But you and your rocks, I can’t believe I didn’t try using them!
The blue is so clean, this spear head is so underrated, imagine if the spears came out before the minecraft movie, if that did happen they should've used bro's spear in the movie! 💙🩵
I love watching these videos and always want to actually make them, I’ll try to find the time this new year to make something like it, at least a sharp rock❤
This thumbnail is giving me flashbacks to like 10 years ago when you'd see those "Minecraft things in real life!" Videos and one half is a Minecraft diamond and the other half is a real, like laser-cut comically accurate diamond. Very good video :3
I don't know about anyone else, but i think it'd be cool if you told us what material for the main part of the weapon is made out of, like the spearhead, because i really love minerals, and i'd like to know what more are! Keep up the awesome videos!

And they said shakes spear is dead
Where do you put your creations when you’re done with them?
@SashimiXPis this a reply to me or a genuine comment? I js doodle bro i never could be as eloquently skilled as this man
@Insectingwhere did an author come into relevance here
@usvmchc2843 perhaps it was in reference to my extended vocabulary, as I had spouted several large words in accordance with what I was attempting to claim. I read too much fanfiction oml
For a second I thought this was a 2012 video about realistic Minecraft
Bro same 😭 the markiplier video popped into my head
As if 2012 minecraft had spears🙉
@ChairNo.13
I meant it LOOKED like these old videos
@ChairNo.13 ☝️🤓
This will be minecraft in 2014 🤯
More long-form videos please! this was an absolute pleasure to watch
Thank you! That’s the plan! I really enjoy making longer videos.
@LavaBladez this videos really entertaining and you’re talented, i don’t like those videos that have too much going on or too much editing. This is perfect

@LavaBladez can you make tutorials? I'm trying to get into flintknapping but it's pretty hard without instruction
@LavaBladezgood, I'm not the biggest shortform content guy but I'll occasionally drop in to watch yours.
I love that a lot of the history was explained on a more surface level in this one since it’s meant to appeal to an audience that is more familiar with Minecraft (a pretty young audience mostly)

Ya.... Its a spear....Spears are for thrusting...... Are you even human?
@dylanmcshane9976 well, some spirits are designed for throwing.
@R-Lando Those are javelins. Smaller 'spears' designed for throwing. I see. Youre just unaware of the terminology.
Petition for Lava Blades to design the weapons in A Minecraft Movie 2
Brother that is 2 years

My grandma lives in an area that had a lot of these types of spear/arrow heads. I find it interesting how effectively they are made.
Is there a shiny material that is similar to netherite?
Probably obsidian, funnily enough.
Netherite is a metallic alloy, gold with some rust and impurities of other metal that makes a metal that is.. similar to the original netherite
It don't exist anything Ike that
Niobium is really close
Just for apperancr wise, obsidans got the right colour but only when thick. When thinned out into a blade its more see-through. Black stained glass probably eould have the same issue.

The closest thing to netherite irl is a mix of platinum and gold
Yes i wanted this for so long
genuinely this guy is master of stone 100% survival instinct
He's quite good, but I wouldn't call him a master. I've had the great privilege to meet Zalmon Shultz, and *that* is a master.
10:44 kinda looks like a tape worm
Why would you say this I was eating
no it doesnt
@Luk@luki311yea it does
@Draxolotlllit highkey doesnt
💀💀💀 BRO. (gulping)
0:37 that's honestly a great way of thinking I love this sentence
Go to sleep it’s night time or else the skeletons and zombies will come 9:11
Bros stuck in minecraft
He has a cap fire mobs won’t spawn
@Flock_fannot close to him
What about phantoms
Oh cool spear!?!
Rare sub 1 hour recommendation pull
I was gonna comment something like "the spear head is too small" then i realised i couldnt even get close to doing this
This is the only realistic way of making a diamond weapon
The goat always delivers 🔥 awesome spear dude!
Thank you!
I want to see you make a genuine Macuahuitl next
No click bait no just buying stuff from stores genuine and real work love this guys work
Ok now do a Clovis diamond blue point
5:42 it looks like a tree that was gotten by a beaver

Mix, platinum and gold to make real life netherite so that you can make a netherite spear
Yeh but that’s a metal, not glass so it’s kinda not his area of expertise
its either palladium or platinum iirc, id imagine netherite scraps are made of an alloy of the two though.
You'd need an extremely high temperature forge to create the correct alloy, since otherwise it'll form in the alpha phase instead of the beta phase of the alloy
Gold is probably too expensive maybe use something else
Finally, lore accurate Blue Crystal.
I like when you make weapons out of Roxanne and stuff
finaly another long form
4:46
So that how to make a sharp tool in the wilderness with no resources whatsoever. It took me too long to realise
You should make a karambit with that glass tbh
love the videos i wanna do what ur doing one day im glad ur so successful and i hope you have a great day
Me too, i honestly really want to just pick up random rocks and try xD
@StormieR6It's worth it! I got into it like a year ago at 15 and it's awesome!
Try it! It's so worth looking into!
The end results is amazing, now that's a cool spear💎✨
Thank you! I like it too
PLEASE make more long form videos
🫡
The blue is absolutely GORGEOUS in 4k 🤩🤩🤩
I don’t give a single crap what anyone says this is art
The fact that it’s a thrusting spear is very accurate to the game because it is used to joust and just to attack
Anyone else think this guy would go crazy as an artificer in Min-Maxxed?
Love how you used natural materials
Thank you! I try when I have the opportunity
Now all we need minecraft mace
this is absolutely positively gorgeous
This man is stuck in the stone age
“minecraft mobs irl” ass vid😭😭
this is awesome
Watching you work is so relaxing. Thank you for letting us peek over your shoulder to see how you make weapons out of pieces of glass or pieces of stone.
A LAVABLADES LONGFORM?? AM I IN HEAVEN???
Thank you!
6:30 HOLY SATASFACTION
I'd love to survive apocalypse with you sir! 🔥🔥
This was needed.
Can you make a drill out of recycled materials from other videos, please? It would be very cool.😅
i love this guy idk why
This has been my most favorite one yet!
my mans an expert caveman living in 2026
Cool!
The long form videos are actually the best
This seems super skillful! THIS IS EPIC!!!!
small blades like a spearpoint I can see as a decent option,
biger blades like a sword or axe not so much.
Glad to be here. Goated stuff
His videos are so cool! I always check if he posted a new video and I don't come to RUclips that much
This video is so cool bro I haven't watched to the end hope you test it and if you dont test this by the end of video can you see how many layers you can go through
I love your videos so much because you use only natural things and to see the end product work amazing is so satisfying ❤❤❤
The sound of the glass shards falling is cartoonishly perfect. For a second I thought it was a sound effect lol. You have the equipment, you could record those glass sounds and make a solid SFX package! 💡
i love this guy more long videos its so satisfying❤
I love the long form content. Please make more!

6:50 those stone flakes are REALLY SHARP 😮
FIRST REPLY
Yup! They'll get you pretty good.
I, too, always account for shrinkage by wrapping it twice.
The blue is so clean, this spear head is so underrated, imagine if the spears came out before the minecraft movie, if that did happen they should've used bro's spear in the movie! 💙🩵
I love how he never uses real tools and uses what he has
Keep in mind that anytime you craft a spear, Steve is canonically doing all of this it in literal PICOSECONDS
Using a stone axe to make a diamond spear is iconic
Love u lava blades
I love watching these videos and always want to actually make them, I’ll try to find the time this new year to make something like it, at least a sharp rock❤
PLEASE make more long form videos im loving these
This thumbnail is giving me flashbacks to like 10 years ago when you'd see those "Minecraft things in real life!" Videos and one half is a Minecraft diamond and the other half is a real, like laser-cut comically accurate diamond. Very good video :3
If a zombie apocalypse begins hes surviving 1000% . Bro can make a spear for 20 people easily
Honestly as a Flintknapper, metal is just better and easier to access, sadly. Flintknapping wouldn't really be that useful in the apocalypse.
This video just feels so refreshing, love it
Awesome
More of these normal youtube videos please 🙏 im sick on short form videos
This is awesome, the best Minecraft content in real life.
You need to make a video that you are a player and that you created such tools as weapons.👍
Someday I would love to buy some of your work unfortunately today is not that day cause I’m broke
I love
Did you know if you have two sticks and a diamond in Minecraft then you can make a really cool diamond shovel?
dude a shovel is the bottom of the craft grid to the top and a spear is corner to corner, so yeah be smarter next time
@Goober1715-f7y its a joke and i never motioned where it is crafted
Absolutely beautiful. I love the choice of material for the blade. Finished product is gorgeous.
This was awesome more videos like this please 🙏🏻
why am i not subscribed to this guy
Woah, ain't you that obsidian guy?
For how long did you make the spear? Any way how long did you need to master it? So i love u're vids 🔥🔥🔪🔪
This is super cool!
This guy is definitely surviving in a zombie apocalypse
Imagine if it was real diamond
Not gonna lie I love hearing you educate us
Absolute cinema!
This video was extremely satisfiying, what made it better was that everything was homemade and had a true effort.
New follower
Thank you! I enjoyed making it!
Bro make diamond spear before GTA 6💀
This was the first vid of his and i already subscribed
time to put lunge 3 and sharpness 5 on it 💀
for that we need an anvil 💀
Second long form lets gooo!
Dry and stiff...Just like a gas station hot dog... LMFAO
Cool video! Also, what type of material are you using for the spearhead? I hope you see this, although u probably won’t. Thanks if you do.
I don't know about anyone else, but i think it'd be cool if you told us what material for the main part of the weapon is made out of, like the spearhead, because i really love minerals, and i'd like to know what more are! Keep up the awesome videos!
nice
I loove how the spear looked 👍
