  • Cornelius Charlton was born in 1929, desperate to serve his country in war, he was too young to serve in the Second World War. He went on to serve his country in Post War Germany and Japan.
    He then jumped at the chance to fight on the frontline during The Korean War joining the 24th Infantry Regiment which at the time was still a segregated unit.
    He went on to write his name in history. Come and hear his fantastic story in todays episode.

    I cut my knee and it really hurt and stopped me from running for a week, I can’t imagine being shot in the chest and still fighting and carrying on. I guess that’s why Medal of Honor winners are so brave different kind of men

      Absolutely. I also find that answer from the army rather convenient.
